While my family went jet skiing I sat and had ice cold beer, and I mean ice cold! My Leatherback was slushy and good! And only $3.00 Friendly service, very good prices and an amazing view and a cute tropical beachy feel!

We can not say enough about the wait staff and bartenders. LOVE the shrimp tacos and it is always one of our first stops when we land. A great place to snorkel and watch a romantic sunset

Nice beach with a bar with food and rest rooms. Area has some storm damage and is used by cruise ship tourist. Worth visiting if your on the Went end of the island. Definitely the place to be if you love sunsets!!!

The food was good and the waitress was attentive. There are also people who gather here to do activities near the beach. You have a nice beach and wave runners nearby. I think there were more people in this area than other beaches we visited.

The food is great, the service is awesome, the view is amazing. The beach has many rocks that hit your legs when you go in the water and is crowded which is not my preference but I still go to the restaurant often

I agree! Rainbow Beach is free, parking is free. We enjoyed the restaurant and bar, and our kids rented watersports equipment. Definitely a good time!

Sorry for the delay ......I just got this notification. It really depends on where you enter the water. Some areas are rocky others its perfect sand. Regardless of the rocks though - the beach is unbelievably clean, people... More

I would say no. It’s a good mile or so, no sidewalks, narrow roads. Ask the cruise director about shore transportation. Have fun!

First Timer Trip Report (4 Replies)
Me and my sister visited St. Croix for the first time in early May. We stayed at Cottages by the Sea and really loved it. It was such a pretty setting. We flew with Jet Blue and rented a Toyota Yaris from Hertz. I was a little nervous about driving on the left side, but it was fine. I took right to it. We stopped at Shop and Stop and got basics, especially for breakfast. After we unpacked, we went for a nice dip in the sea and it was heavenly. We felt like new people after a long day...More

I'm glad you found the forum helpful and your note is a good reminder to all of us who post that there are folks who read the forum who never post a question. Leaving for STX on Tuesday for a week... Just wanted to share my enthusiasm. My wife and I will be staying in Frederiksted. I am sure we will be spending some time at Rhythms at Rainbow Beach and hitting the local restaurants and bars. We will be sailing with Cpt Karl, and Will be going doing an intro dive with S.C.U.B.A. Probably hike to the tide pools and maybe a horseback ride. No other major events are planned other than a lot of beach going and snorkeling. And Rum. I would love to...More

ATVs, Bikes or Rum? Excursion help needed! (6 Replies)
I was originally thinking that DH and I would take it easy on St. Croix, but since we've never been, I really would like to at least get a taste of the area. I've been mulling about a couple of ideas with the thought that we don't want to overexert ourselves. 1 - Gecko Island Adventure - "2-fer" package which includes Wave runner rental plus 2 beach chairs, umbrella & discount food & drink coupons at Rhythms at Rainbow Beach. I would also like to head to Cruzan for a tour, so...More
