The "beach" is rocky and not suitable for swimming. You can go out further for snorkeling but watch out for the urchins and sharp coral. This time of summer has brought huge mats of seagrass in and you really can't avoid it but other beaches...More

We visited Tararind Beach but did not stay because there are too many sea urchins between the beach and large rocks (approx 30') and there's really no way to get around the urchins unless you have a paddle board or kayak. However, the beach area...More

We were trying out all of the beaches on St. Croix and made Tamarind Reef on a Sunday. The best part of the visit was brunch which was a full breakfast for only $10. This was the best meal value I found on St. Croix.

If you want to chill on a peaceful beach, they offer covered cabana lounge chairs, kayaks, volleyball, snorkeling gear and more. The down side is that it is not a perfect white sand beach. Entering the wTer there are a lot of rocks. Good snorkeling...More

There are other beaches near Fredricksted. Some within walking distance. What do you want to do. The pier is actually of of the best snorkeling locations.
