We HIGHLY recommend Jolly Roger Charters. Our son treated us to an all day excursion to Buck Island. Mike and Tiffany were the perfect hosts. We had an enjoyable boat ride to the island, followed by a wonderful snorkeling experience. My husband and I hadn't been snorkeling in years and were a little apprehensive initially, but Mike and Tiffany explained everything to us in detail which made for a smooth outing. Tiffany was wonderful in the water, being sure to point out all of the interesting marine life. The island is amazing and it was nice to spend the day with two people who truly appreciate the beauty of this treasure.

We had an amazing day on our trip to Buck Island! Mike, Bridget and Tiffany were wonderful hosts, so friendly and welcoming. We had a small group on the BAJER, which was great - a very personal experience. We are not experienced snorkelers but it didn't take long at all for us to feel comfortable and enjoy the underwater trail with Tiffany as our guide. So many beautiful fish! We did the hike to the observation deck and the views were amazing, and we enjoyed spending time on the beautiful beach. We did this trip on our first day in St. Croix, and it set the bar for the rest of the week. We can't say enough about our experience and our hosts. Loved it!!!

We had an amazing time. Mike and Tiffany did a great job. It was great to be in a small group. We booked the full day and loved every minute. My kids had great conversations with both Mike and Tiffany. We saw a lot of cool things snorkeling and enjoying every thing we did. Thank you Mike and Tiffany. We would definitely go with them again.

The best charter to go to Buck Island in At Croix! Mike & Tiffany were AWESOME. We could not say any better words about them & the charter. We saved this for our last day on the island & had the best time. The views were amazing, the trip was great & the snorkeling was so cool. Could not recommend going with this charter more!

Our family had an incredible time out at Buck Island with the Jolly Roger crew. You just can’t beat a family that crews together with a 7 year old able and willing to give snorkel lessons. 🤿

Buck Island was the most beautiful part of St. Croix that we visited. Captain Mike and Albert were very helpful and patient with getting the children ready for snorkeling. The underwater trail was an amazing experience just don't touch the reef! After snorkeling, we had time on the beach at Buck Island. Take a short hike around the island if you have time because the views of the beach are picturesque.

This is by far the way to go to Buck Island. A very intimate trip with only about 20 people on board the boat. The Captain and Crew are incredibly friendly and are there to serve your every need. You can tell by the way they run this boat that this is not a job for them but a passion. Mike, Eric and Rashawn took great pride in their work, they worked to make sure every passenger on the Jolly Roger felt welcomed, relaxed, and comfortable.

We booked the day trip and during the trip there are two stops.

First, we went to a reef on the South side of the island where there was a great snorkeling opportunity. Tons of fish and coral to see here. We did the underwater trail and I would say it is the best snorkeling I have ever done. It is a advanced snorkel but if you have the skills then it is well worth the effort. If your not comfortable snorkeling, you can stay in the harbor area were the boat is mored. There is plenty to see there too. Once we finished snorkeling, we sailed to the beach on the north side of Buck Island.

Next, On the north side there is a prestigious little beach with crystal clear waters and perfect sand. Here we were entertained by a few rays in the water and ate lunch on a picnic table, on the beach, while looking back across the waters at St. Croix. It is probably the nicest beach in St Croix.

You will need to bring some things with you:

First, SunScreen and not the spray on kind. Too may people on the boat and you will be spraying everyone. Second, you will need a towel. A nice beach towel works great. Third, bring your drinks and lunch. You will want to have lunch on the beach. Forth, bring snacks. We brought a couple of cookies. And Finally, Bring your water proof camera. You will be glad you did. So many picturesque moments you will want to capture.

Do not hesitate to book a trip with the Jolly Roger. Again, the experience was wonderful, the crew is wonderful, and the island is wonderful. Completely worth your time and money.

My wife and I were privileged to take a full day trip to Buck Island on the Jolly Roger for our 10th wedding anniversary. We thought that it would get bumped a day or two due to lack of passengers, but checking in with Capt. Mike on the day of, he said we were a go. Arriving at the dock, we were shocked to learn that we were the only passengers of the day. The trip out to the reef was nice and was amazed that the water was completely crystal clear inside the reef. I couldn't handle the cool water temperature long enough to do the reef tour, but my wife was escorted by Albert and had a fabulous time. Neither of us are expert snorkelers, but Albert put my wife at ease in the water. We then went to the beach on Buck Island to explore after eating our packed lunches. The beach is extremely picturesque. We opted to leave Buck Island a bit early and take a longer/leisurely sail back to Christiansted. We were completely at ease on the Jolly Roger and highly recommend Capt. Mike and the Jolly Roger. A big THANK YOU to Capt. Mike and Albert for making our 10th anniversary unforgettable.

My family recently sailed with Captain Mike and crew over to Buck Island to snorkel. The trip was great. On the way out we saw stingrays leap out of the water and learned Island history. Mike gave my son a book so he could see what type of fish he might encounter. Once we arrived at Buck Island the crew was great in making sure all of our gear was working and comfortable. After a walk on the island and a swim around the boat we set off for the other side and the underwater trail. It was a great day. We decided to hang out at the boat after doing portions of the trail and my 8 year old loved floating behind the boat in the ring. He was also very excited to to take a few jumps off the boat. The return trip was just as fun. We saw a sea turtle and had rum punch! Amazing time. The crew was great. We would sail with Captain Mike again!

We booked this excursion through the Celebrity Silhouette. We were told it was a 3.5 hr 1/2 day sail on the Jolly Mon 63' Catamaran which included a tour along the West End beaches to Sandy Point, then to Rainbow Beach. This never happened, we were put on the Jolly Roger, I believe a 43' catamaran. He took us just down from the cruise ship, about a 10-15 minute ride, anchored and said we are here. We were told we could swim since the water would be our bathroom, his didn't work. We were offered warm rum punch and taken back to the ship in 2.5 hours. We paid $90 per person for this! Total rip off!
