We first met Captain Mike in 1996 while living on STX (he has tons of experience). We have sailed with him multiple times over the years, and each trip is as exciting as the first! While safety is his top priority, providing his guests with an exceptional experience is priority #2, and he delivers BOTH (and then some) EVERY TIME! You can't go wrong with a Jolly Roger Charter! Do yourself a favor, buy a T-shirt (just "retired" one of ours after 20+ years), eat the cheese balls, and make sure Captain Mike blows his conch! We wish Captain Mike all the best, and hope to see him in April 2021!

We have toured with Captain Mike three different times. Every single time is great. While we were a much fuller boat than on another tour, it showed how well they can handle both a large and small group. They’ve clearly worked together to have their roles on efficiently distributing snorkel equipment on the way out to the snorkel trail and making sure those that are first time snorkelers are prepared and comfortable. The guides were great in taking out the groups and helped those who were anxious to get started moving as the next guide worked on preparing the next groups. We even had junior captain Mike on board! The true reward for some was the stop at Buck Island on the way back. It’s a beautiful beach where it’s great to relax and catch some rays! We were notified that we needed reef safe sunscreen which we took but in speaking with the crew it wasn’t a requirement. Oh and the best part - no need to leave to meet the crew. They picked up at the dock of the Buccaneer.

Capt Mike Klein and Jolly Roger Charters give the best tours to Buck Island. Tiffany was a great snorkel teacher and guide for the whole underwater trail and further exploring the reef. She made sure we were comfortable snorkelling, and pointed out the numerous sea life as we were going along the snorkel trail. Great experience, definitely recommend them for their more personalized service.

The trip out to Buck Island for the snorkeling is a must do while in St. Croix! The Jolly Roger crew are all very friendly and knowledgeable. The underwater trail is where memories are made. The rum punch on the sail back is some of the best! Thank you for the tip on the Goat Hill trail too!
