Jill grew up in St. Croix riding horses on the very trails she took us on. She knows every tree, landmark, and inch of the trail. She genuinely does this for passion, 40’years of serving her community and travelers and her horses are loved and well kept. 10/10 would recommend anyone looking for a horseback ride to go with Jill! She stops and takes pictures with your device at all the great spots and her horses know how to pose and follow her command well.

We had an awesome experience and highly recommend Paul & Jill’s Equestrian Stables for horseback riding. This was our two sons (9 & 15 yrs old) first time experience and Jill was patient and understanding. My younger son was very nervous but by the end, she had him so comfortable that he asked to go trotting on the horse a second time. Jill is extremely knowledgable about the area and it was so cool to hear about the different plants, trees and history of Croix. We went through the rain forest and then onto the beach. We also stopped for pictures along the way. It was an amazing experience and highly recommend Jill.

My husband and I had an amazing time with Jill and her crew! She only takes out small groups which made it really fun and intimate and less touristy-feeling. Jill is a St. Croix native who’s been doing trail rides for over 20 years and riding since she was a little girl - she taught us so much history about the island and learning about her family history there was great also. She taught us a lot about the native wildlife and vegetation and had us cracking up with her funny and interesting stories (ask about her pet mongoose!). It was by far one of the top highlights of our trip so far and we are grateful for the experience.

Jill was an amazing tour guide! She loves her horses and it shows! My sons and I rode with Jill and I highly recommend her! She actually called me back and fit me into her schedule. My sons were first time riders and Jill took the time to explain the riding equipment and how to maneuver the horses. She took us on the beach and through a beautiful path through the forest, taking time to explain the history of the island and the beautiful scenery. Jill’s horses were very gentle and obedient. We were able to trot and canter which was so much fun! If I am on the island again I will certainly take another ride with Jill!

We rode with Jill for my birthday visit to St. croix. It was just my boyfriend and I and Jill which I absolutely loved. She takes you on a intimate and knowledgeable tour through the rainforest and to the beach. She even takes your picture along the way. She is retired so she takes smaller groups which I prefer over being with 7-10 other people plus horses like the other companies on island. I would highly recommend Jill she is the best!!

Bob and I have enjoyed a ride every year for the past seven years with Jill. We have had the same couple of beautiful horses, Sushi and Bucky for the past couple. We are capable riders and are able to trot and canter, as our ride is personalized and only Jill and her assistant Meg with us, now that Jill is semi retired. Giver her a try even if you are novices, as long as you're only two or three in your group.

Highly recommend going with Jill for your horseback riding adventure in St.Croix. We went with a group of 5 friends, all at different experience levels for riding. Jill was so accommodating and even matched horses to rider level so everyone had the best experience. I’ve been riding since I was a kid so Jill let me ride in the back and hang back every so often to run a little bit and have some fun. The tour itself goes through the beautiful rainforest then out to the beach for the most stunning ride. There are opportunities to trot the horses so people with less experience can comfortably do a bit more than just walk around. Jill is so knowledgeable about the area and plant life and has the best stories about her life and her family’s life on their land. I could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone in the group truly had an amazing time.
Thanks, Jill!!!
We’ll definitely be back to visit!

Our horseback ride with Jill and Meg was great! They pointed out all the interesting trees and plants in the rainforest. Jill was fun to listen to talking about the hurricanes and history of the area. There was a sweet dog that led the way for the entire ride, then ran into the ocean to cool off-so cute! The horses were well behaved and easy to ride. We loved it!!

Beautiful trail and Jill was very knowledgable. The horses are a bit less "tame" than most similar ride experiences and you have to actually work to guide/control the horse - enjoyable, but make sure that's what you're looking for. The real entertainment is found with the husband - absolute character! Be prepared for some wonky antics and bizarre (but endearing?) conversations!!

I had an amazing tour with Jill today through the rainforest and on the beach. The tour is suitable for beginners and small children (Jill provided stairs to mount the horse easily and towed a horse for a 6 year old to ensure his horse was properly guided through the entire tour). Jill shared a wealth of information as an island native, created many of the forest trails herself, gave us a few chances to trot, took great photos for us, and made the extra effort to clear/cut away vegetation that impeded the trails to prevent the riders from getting hit or scraped up when passing through.
