Loved the opportunity to taste the rum, rum cake, and chutneys - they were wonderful and bought a variety of them all. The hand made soaps made wonderful gifts also! The customer service was GREAT and really enjoyed the store!

No Caribbean trip is complete without some rum :) it took TCI a while but Bambarra Rum is the official one and only TCI rum (or at least I am not aware of any other); you can sample their full line; Black, Silver (2 year), Gold (2 year), Reserve (8 year), Trouvadore (15 year) and Coconut Rum as well as the Rum Cake :) I am a big rum lover and as much as I wasn't crazy about any of the classic rums and normally avoid "flavored rums" I did find their Coconut one really good and ended up taking a bottle home. The ladies who work their are really nice and make the place very welcoming.

TIP: their prices are the lowest I found around the island; if my memory serves me well the minim credit card charge is $20 or $25, otherwise it's cash only

TIP: the place is located at Regent Village among many other stores - the point on map here at TripAdvisor shows incorrectly - it's basically across from Anna's Art Gallery and there is a street parking available

FYI: just so we are clear this is not a distillery but a store that carries the Bambarra Rum products and its their official "to go" location even per the Bambarra Rum website, and also to be clear this is not trully a TCI rum as it's a blend of rum from across Caribbean (very common practice) that is then bottled in TCI (think of Gosling in Bermuda which is not even bottled there and yet is a Bermuda Rum)

We stumbled upon this shop on our quest to find something to bring back home to loved ones. The candles, bath salts and creams were unqiue to the Island and scents you could not find back home. The staff was helpful and they enabled us to take our time to make our selection. Overall we had a pleasant experience.

We visited this store twice during our trip to T&C with an intention to buy local rum. However, on BOTH occasions the SAME woman who worked there was constantly playing on her iphone. She was absolutely not interested in greeting clients who enter the shop. She was arrogant and dismissive to say the least even when we requested her for tasting. (They put out a sign and said "please ask agent for tasting") We waited 5 minutes for her while she continued play on her iPhone, ignoring the other customers in the store. After she poured a teaspoonful of coconut rum from the sample bottle, she poured it back into the bottle so in the end there was a drop of coconut rum to try. Great tasting experience! We did not buy anything and we doubt anyone would buy anything from anybody who displayed such BAD attitude.

We stopped into this shop checking prices on local items such as spices, sauces, and, of course, rum. I found their prices of Bambarra Rum to be the best that I could find, so we bought four bottles. Every vacation needs its souvenirs, right!? Each time I stopped in I was welcomed by a member of the staff. Upon purchasing the items there were three employees who spoke with us about our vacation, where we had been, and what we were planning on doing. Upon hearing that we were visiting North/Middle Caicos they were very pleased. They shared some of their knowledge about these places and highly recommended all visitors to the Turks and Caicos Islands visit one of the other islands, as they are all so different, each with its own special things to share. I enjoyed shopping here and appreciated the willingness of the staff to share what they knew about other islands that we were visiting.

Just returned from vacation there. We stopped in to shop and check out the rum. The ladies there were so nice and helpful. We tasted the rums and the cakes. The rum cakes are very good. We did purchase one as a gift but ended up eating it ourselves since it was to good to share.LOL. I have ate tortuga cake before but did not like it as much as the bambira. Loved the lotions sold there as well. The shop is worth a stop if visiting there.

Lots of wine, Bambara Rum, rum cakes and touristy stuff. Rum tasting gives you about 1/4 oz. Just enough to get a feel but not enough to analyze it. I bought 2 bottles of their oldest and have thoroughly enjoyed it at home. It is an excellent sipping rum and is the only thing on TCI that is reasonably priced.

So I must say that this shop is not where Trip Advisor says it is. It is on Grace Bay Road and is a great little shop. The lady manning the store seemed more interested in sitting at a table off to the side and playing on her phone. They had a nice selection of food and drink items but I was only interested in the rum or more specifically the rum cakes. I got one of the large original rum cakes to take to the office Christmas party. Some of the sauces caught my eye but I stayed on point. The lady once she got to the counter was very pleasant and I was out of there quickly.

Echoing the previous review, the customer service here was bad. When we finally corralled an employee for a rum tasting, she gave us about half a sip -- to share!

The coconut rum was the most interesting to me. The prices are the best I've seen for the "local" bambarra brand. Expensive by Caribbean standards ($19 for a bottle of coconut rum), but cheaper for TCI.

Definitely the best prices on the island for rum! We stopped in for a few bottles to make rum punch and will certainly be back for more to bring home.
