Past reviews were very helpful in terms of finding the beach. However, by way of brief update, the parking area (which can only handle 6 cars or so), will be on the right as you drive down Ocean Point Drive. The walkway to the beach is just beyond it, with an off-white wall running down the left side of the path. The villas described in previous reviews as being under construction appear to still be being built, and again will be on your left side as you head down the trail to the beach.

I would strongly recommend that you go when the sun is out. For the first 2 hours we were there, the sun was out and the colors in the water honestly exploded into different shades of turquoise and blue. By the time we left, a storm was rolling through and the cloud cover really dulled the ocean colors.

We visited in July 2021, and the beach was certainly not empty by 10:00 AM. In order to insure you get a parking spot, you should probably arrive by 9:00 AM or so, although that can fluctuate. In any event, it is well worth the effort, especially on a sunny day. Enjoy!!

Such a fun beach to visit!!! Water is very warm and shallow for a long distance. Great for little kids. We sat in the water for a few hours and just enjoyed the ocean. Must access it by the walkway from the road. It isn’t well marked but once you find it, the beach is worth it! We found starfish in the water here as well.

We stayed at the Bamboo House on Taylor Bay, Turks and Caicos. There was 5 of us and it was perfect. Villa had everything we needed. A 3 min. Walk to a beautiful, quiet beach. You could walk out in the beautiful clear water for 1/2 mile. We had absolutely amazing sunsets. We had a great restaurant a 15 min. Walk away, Las Breezes. It was an great holiday and would highly recommend The Bamboo House

In a nutshell. The beach has no signs. It is on left side on a bend in the road. Look for parked cars. Do not rely on Google Maps. The beach is surrounded by private property. Parking on the street is limited. Do not park in the restricted areas or you will get towed. You have to find an unoccupied piece of sand. Security patrols the area due to the nice houses in the area. Walk down a short path to the beach. Get greeted by a slew of locals trying to sell you drinks, chairs and umbrellas. We got stopped 4 times. The locals set up 3 small bars and play loud music of their choice. They are creating a party scene. The locals will also rent you wave runners or a couple of other water items. My family pushed past all of that and went to where a few people were at. Security came around every couple of hours making sure you are not using the private property beach house property. As for the beach, water is very shallow for couple hundred of yards. No waves. Sand is very soft. The water creates all these pits in the water like very small hills. Hard to describe. No wildlife even with googles. Great for small kids. There are no trees for shade. We met another family who told us they were here 7 years ago. Not as many houses and none of the local flavor was there. Very quiet and relaxing spot just to lay in the warm water. Not anymore. Once it became popular, the locals are capitalizing on it.

I came to Turks & Caicos in search of the perfect beach, and I found it at Taylor Bay. Our hotel was on Grace Bay Beach, which was lovely and calm, until the winds started up on our second day and resulted in a lively ocean with large waves and many passing downpours. After reading reviews of Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay, we decided to rent a car and spend the day in the area. We parked at Las Brisas Restaurant for $3, and ventured to Sapodilla Bay first. The ocean there is a beautiful hue of turquoise, tranquil, and shallow, but the small beach was overwhelmed with vendors and families with young children. It was not our scene, so after a few hours, we left for Taylor Bay. Taylor Bay is hidden down a dirt path in a private neighborhood. We were instantly in awe of the beauty before us. Although we were not the only visitors, the beach is larger and everyone is spread out, allowing for more privacy. There are no vendors or commercialization, only private rental homes, making this beach feel more natural, untouched, and idyllic than the others. The one downside of this is that there are no restrooms and no chairs/umbrellas for rent. We found shade under a tree and laid on towels, which was fine for us. Our time here provided the serenity we craved and the best photos of our trip. Do not miss this beach paradise!

As others have said, it can be tricky to find since located in an upscale neighborhood. Once there, it is a narrow strip of sand sheltered from most of the island breeze making it easy to keep umbrella in the ground. The day we went was underwhelming at best. Murky water and high tide so beach area was tiny. Nothing to see, no beach combing for shells. We were disappointed.

I Visited Taylor Bay Beach on an early Sunday morning in November 2021. The water was unbelievably clear and amazingly shallow for over 100 yards from the shore. Even 200 yards away from the shore, the depth of the water was only 6 to 10 feet before a nice dropoff. The beach itself is at least a 2/3 of a mile wide cove facing the western portion of Providenciales. Because of the waters' depth, even small children can enjoy this wonderful expanse with confidence about being in the water. Others who may have a natural fear of the ocean should feel pretty relaxed as the waters' depth away from the shore never hits above the waist. All will be amazed at the waters' clarity and can even find the occasional group of fish swimming nearby. To relax and play in this gentle surf is the stuff beachgoers long for.

A great get away from the crowds beach. Very shallow and warm waters for several hundred feet out from the beach. Low key and no commercial beach operations. Parking near the access path is limited to roadway shoulder. A great beach that is protected from the winds when the surf is high on the Grace Bay side of the island.

I've never seen a beach anything like this before. As many reviewers have already said, the water is shallow within almost no waves - perfect for laying in the water with a drink! The water is clear with a beautiful tinge of turquoise. Yes, there is no bar on the beach and the shore is not very expansive but both times I visited there was almost no one there. It's the perfect spot to hang out in the water till your fingers are pruney.

Wow! Amazing beach. By far the best for our week in February - due to strong trade winds on the Grace Bay side. You can walk out 100+ yards - knee deep, clear water, that were home to turtles and rays. Finding it is a bit difficult, but it is worth it. Parking is limited and it is opposite side of Grace Bay...which is why the crowds were so small there. Sunset watching is really good here too!
