A visit to Chalk Sound is best done with a rental car, but it's worth it. Get a map, and get yourself to Taylor Bay in the Chalk Sound area. It's absolutely gorgeous. The whole Chalk Sound area has water like you've never seen before,...More

One of the many high lights of our trip. Rented a pontoon boat at Las Bria's restaurant. Went straight there as soon as our plane landed. $50 per person for. 2 hour cruise and snorkel. This does fill up so I recommend checking in and...More

Wow, my wife and I did not expect that view. It's all private with views from the houses, but many were empty (for sale), so we were able to pull into a driveway and walk in someone's backyard for better pictures. Not much to do...More

We've driven around to enjoy the view and also kayaked on Chalk Sound. It is an unusual pale blue and the surrounding area has some beautiful homes.

Chalk Sound is breathtaking. Glowing waters and hidden islands. A boat tour is a great way - and I think the only way - for one to witness it. We did a 2 hour tour that also included snorkeling which was a bust. Chalk sound...More

We did a kayak and pontoon boat ride of chalk sound thru Las Brisas restaurant. The water is crystal clear and overall shallow with some deeper areas. The little mushroom islands were neat to see with iguanas on one of the islands. Would recommend checking...More

This is a nice area to drive around and see the other side of the island from the main resort area. There is some industrial stuff around, but it is mostly very pretty and interesting.

We stayed at Grace Bay and rented a car it took less than 30 minutes to cross the Island over to Chalk Sound.
So we are considering this location to rent a villa in January. 5 adults an 2 kids, 8,11. My concern is that it seems to be secluded from the rest of the islands restaurants? Any advice for us eating out frequently? We can taxi no problem, but not if everything is 30 mins away. We will just look into the Gracy Bay area. Thanks!

One more thing, Chalk Sound isn't ideal for young children, but Taylor Bay, which is right next to ChalK Sound, is!! Taylor Bay is hands down our favorite beach on the island. The 1/2 mile stretch of powder sugared sand and... More

Hello everyone! I have the luxury of going to Turks and Caicos next week. Is there any place that I can rent a kayak by Chalk Sound? Also, I'll have a scooter, is parking an issue? Any advice will be much appreciated. I've been to Turks a few years ago I didn't have a lot of time but I absolutely love it! The only thing I didn't do was Chalk Sound.
