Husband and I visited here during our 25th anniversary trip to T&C. We rented kayaks from the Neptune Villas and had a great experience. Did not reserve in advance and had no problems. The girl at the desk is extremely nice and helpful.

We rented and were uncertain how long we'd be out so we just started paddling and went pretty far pretty fast. We were looking for ways to keep active on our vacation and this was a great way to do so. We are both athletic so it wasn't hard at all to paddle even though we were told that there were strong currents (which we didn't notice much). If you are not as strong, I'd advise staying close by if the currents are too much. The girl does tell you, at check in, that you are charged $100 if they need to recover the kayak so be sure to only paddle as far as you can handle.

Water is about 6 feet deep in most spots and even less in others, but the sand is very sticky and feels like concrete so I don't recommend getting out of the kayak. We saw no fish in the water so we don't think it was a good place to snorkel.

Great experience but after an hour we saw about all we could. We were the ONLY people on the sound which was so relaxing. If I did it again, would only do an hour.

The Chalk Sound was our favorite beach to visit even more so than crowded Grace Bay. The water is breathtakingly beautiful and calm. You can walk 20 feet or more out from shore and the turquoise water is just clear You can snorkel but the water is so clear and tranquil that the fish are visibly swimming around you. Screensaver perfect beach.

TIPS
Bring your own chairs, cooler and umbrella.
Umbrella rental was 20USD and chair rental 10USD each
Jet Ski rental 30 minutes 90USD or 1 hour 175USD
Parking is free but limited, come early
Chalkies Restaurant is the perfect way to end your day. We had one of our BEST meals there.

Beautiful looking place. However, a few caveats.
1. The only way to enjoy Chalk Sound is by renting non-motorized equipment (i.e. kayak) or taking a tour from Las Brisas restaurant. They have a dock there. When going to this restaurant, you will park on the main road and then walk through Neptune Villas to the end where the restaurant is located.
2. There are no look out points outside of this restaurant/villas.
3. The lake is surrounded by construction and private homes so it does take away from the view as regardless of the direction you look, you will see buildings.
4. Be sure to call ahead or confirm with your hotel that rentals are available and Las Brisas is open. Due to covid, they have changed their timings a bit.

The picture isn't retouched....that's the color. It gets it from the chalk in and around the Sound and it's unbelievably pretty. We took a two-hour pontoon cruise around the sound with a very knowledgeable guide and a skilled pilot. If you have a car, take a drive out. It's worth the trip

Chalk Sound is breathtaking because of its beauty. Any visitor to Provo must go there. The bright aqua colored water is as beautiful as it gets.
When you go to Chalk Sound, it is well worth stopping at Neptune Villas to dine at Las Brisas Restaurant. It is right on the sound and serves excellent food and drink, and you cannot beat the view and pleasant dining experience.
You can also rent a kayak there and paddle out into the sound. It is very calm, although it can be breezy.

Stunning. A must stop. Bring cash if you want to buy drinks, rent chairs or umbrellas. Park across the road at las brisas Neptune village. Beautiful sunset.

Nice place a must see if you are in Providenciales. Las Brisas restaurant offers facilities to eat and rent (boat or kayaks). Check wheather conditions as in case of wind kayaks will not be available and there isn’t much else to visit the lagoon and the bay

We did the Las Brisas Pontoon Tour here, and were lucky enough to have the boat to ourselves as nobody else had booked.

It's a beautiful spot, can't believe it stays so shallow so far out. We had a little snorkel stop at a plane wreck, and enjoyed a quick visit to a group of iguanas on one of the many small islands.

The team were friendly and we really enjoyed this trip, highly recommended.

We ate at Las Brisas restaurant after the trip, and it was probably the nicest setting and meal we had, whilst in TCI.

We took a drive all around the sound and every view was amazing. The day had several small showers that passed over within minutes. The water is an incredible shade of blue... So crystal clear and very calm! We were unable to ride the boat/snorkel due to our schedule but will definitely go on our next visit!!

The entrance is not clearly marked but we managed to find it fairly easy. Once there we walked down to the far end of the beach by the dock. We spent all morning there and the water is perfectly calm and only about 18" deep for a couple of hundred yards. There is an activities rental hut and a bar near the entrance but we just spent the morning in the water and on the beach. This was the most beautiful beach on Provo for us.
