Brought adult kids to Turks and caicos and this experience was on everyone's list. We had all levels of riders from beginners to advanced and the crew paired each of us up with the perfect pony for us. We had a private tour for 90...More
We have been horseback riding on other islands and enjoyed it. This however was a wonderful experience. From the trail all the way out to the beach to riding the horses in the ocean it was worth every penny.
A well-run, well-executed adventure off the beaten path of Turks and through the aquamarine waters in the saddle of a beautiful horse. Wear long or short pants, as long as you don’t care that everything you have on will get wet, because it will. And...More
We really enjoyed our experience with Provo Ponies. The location is very close to beach so the ride is primarily on the sand and in the water. The guides are professional and match riders well with their horses based on experience. We recommend a private...More
My husband is a horse (Equine) Vet ,and is always apprehensive about the condition and care of the animals when we book excursions. I must say Provo Ponies is a very professionally run business. The horses are extremely well cared for , the staff is...More

Our guides were excellent...engaging, safety first oriented, made it a fun casual ride. Even taught me how to get my point to buck in the water once he was confident I was a semi skilled rider, and could handle it. Only issue was miscommunication in...More

Thanks sh0regal for your correct response! We do not allow double riding, our insurance policy does not cover it. We can lead the child for an extra fee of $80. We look forward to taking you riding with us!
I am visiting with lots of family this coming August. I would love to do Provo Ponies and some others in my party have expressed the want as well. They are worried about their weight though. I know Provo Ponies has a couple draft or carriage horses so I would think they would be fine but am not sure? What are the weight limits? Also has anybody done the Froggies ATV tours? Whats your experience?

If you look through the Provo Ponies website, the individual horses all have weight limits. It may also be in the reservation agreement. I would email or call them directly with those questions, as I'm certain they can answer definitively.

Provo Ponies - possible to book when we arrive? (3 Replies)
This seems like a popular excursion. Has anyone booked once they arrive? Considering any day next week. I may just go ahead and reserve now, but I was hoping to wait and see how the forcast looks :-)

I was just looking at their website yesterday and it says you must reserve online prior to coming. They recommend you book ahead as they fill up fast. The rides are Monday - Friday at 9:30 am and 3:00 pm. Saturday is reserved for teaching and Sunday is the horses day off. $75.00 for 60 minutes and $90.00 for 90 minutes. You also must indicate what level of a rider you are (it gives you the choices to choose from). Hope this helps!
Day 7 - giddyup (6 Replies)
Today was our ride with Provo Ponies. We did the 90 minute morning ride. The weather on Grace Bay was cloudy and breezy, but 10 minutes away at Long Bay Beach it was blazingly hot. There were about 8 people plus 2 guides. The ride to the beach was hot and uneventful, but the beach more than made up for it. My horse was in the front and just plunged right into the water. I've never ridden a horse in the water before, so that was really fun. We all walked the horses slowly down along the shore....More

For Provo ponies, Was 90 minutes the right amount of time, or would 60 be ok. I'm trying to figure out which one I should book
