- Dave B1 contributionDo it. Rent a golf cart.I recommend renting a golf cart. It’s a great way to see the island. We enjoyed the experience, overall. The bad: pickup/meeting instructions were extremely vague. We walked for about thirty minutes before we found them. The golf cart was old and slow (we were passed by several other golf carts). Our first cart would not start after we got gas and were had to wait for a replacement cart. The replacement cart did not have a key. The second cart had inconsistent steering and was a challenge to control. The good: the two guys were interacted with were very friendly and helpful. We “only” waited 30 minutes for the replacement when the first cart broke down. We felt safe the entire time. It is a relaxing way to see the island. Recommendations: bring a bungee or some type of strap to secure your belongings while you are moving. It would be great in the cart had some sort of basket or rack to secure backpacks etc.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 13, 2023
- Natalie2 contributionsGreat excursion not associated with the cruiseWe wanted a longer excursion that offered more time and supported locals. Our cruise ship was unexpectedly late into port and Wet money didn’t skip a beat and we joined another group leaving an hour later. Jimmy our captain was amazing. Took us to two different snorkels spots and we petted sting rays! Lots of sea life spotted. Would recommend. This is our second time in TCI and I would go back again!Visited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 7, 2024
- Matt F1 contributionJimmy is the best!We did multiple different tours with Jimmy and Wet Money Tours. Jimmy is the best! He is very chill and listens to what you want to do. He is extremely knowledgeable and could answer all your questions. It was a perfect morning we spent with Jimmy and we were so glad we booked our tour with him! We were staying on island and went days that there were no cruise ships so it was almost like a private tour!Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 17, 2024
- Tera DLynchburg, Virginia1 contributionLooooveJimmy is the man! They totally took care of us and made sure we went small group and it wasn’t crowded at the snorkeling spots. Love it. Did the wall and Gibbs - held a stingray that was like 3 plus feet in diameter. Tons of stingrayVisited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 18, 2024
- Rachel KChicago, Illinois14 contributionsGreat experience! We just did this tour last week and had a great time. It ended up just being the two of us and it was a lot of fun and the tour guide was great. We were just coming off another tour and took a little longer to get lunch from the very busy restaurant area and he let us finish our lunch on shore until we left. He took us to a great reef area for snorkeling before going to the sting ray area and the fish there were really cool. Once at the sting ray area it was so peaceful and calm and since it was just the two of us it was great. He brought some conch to feed the stingrays and attract them and helped us interact with them. We also even saw a juvenile lemon shark which swam right up to the shore and is apparently very rare to see, so that was cool! I would definitely do this tour again and would recommend it to others! The sting ray area isn't like the one in cayman islands where there's tons of sting rays, but, I actually kind of liked that... it was such a quiet peaceful beach area and there were a few sting rays that stuck around the whole time.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 24, 2024
- sabbott66Fallbrook, California2 contributionsTropical fish and dolphins, oh my!Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff that made experience VERY enjoyable. Provided assistance and instruction for my wife, who is new to snorkeling. Highlight of trip was encountering a pod of dolphins in the wild! Note: Pickup and drop off location is on the beach near "Jack's Shack," which is a local bar/restaurant that is approximately a 1/2 mile walk up the beach to the north of the cruise terminal.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 7, 2024
- PamMonroeCape Coral, Florida11 contributionsGreat last-minute booking.I booked from the ship the day before we arrived in Grand Turk, and was glad to see there was a golf cart available, with 2 ships in port. Easy website, and when we got there O'Brian was so helpful. Had a wonderful day. Would advise that their carts need to be updated (many others we saw on the roads were much newer), but it worked fine.Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 8, 2024
- Cullen B2 contributionsAmazing service and qualityAmazing service start to finish. My booking got messed up(on my part) and they still were able to accommodate me into a spare car they had. They handled everything great and were very helpful. Used while cruising with Carnival Celebration.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 30, 2024
- Amy R1 contributionGreat way to view Grand Turk!We had the best time exploring Grand Turk on our golf cart. It was nice being able to stop where we wanted and go off on our own to explore. The people there were really nice. We will do business with them again! Just hold onto your hats. Lol. We had to stop and go back to get one of ours.Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 4, 2024
- Mike P3 contributionsWet money fulfilled their promise. The island of Grand Turk was a bit disappointing. We travelled to the far end of the island with our golf cart. Wet money tours was prompt to provide the equipment we reserved. The one provided struggled to travel up the hills but was better than walking. The donkeys around the island were entertaining. The lighthouse is worth seeing.Visited September 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 10, 2024

We booked 2 Jeeps for our visit at Grand Turk for our group of 7 coming in on Carnival Spirit 3 weeks in advance. We arrive at the rental pickup and was told, no Jeeps were available due to a Jeep tour. They should not allow Jeeps to even be booked if they don’t have enough to handle both the Jeep tours AND rentals. They also did not reach out to us ahead of time to let us know so we could make alternate plans. We were left paying top dollar for golf carts that were much slower and not nearly as fun. Not happy at all with the way this company handles rentals and we’re not able to do anything for us. Poor business. Not recommended.

Wet Money gave us a Jeep instead of a car because the car needed repair for the same price. The island is small enough to get around any place you want in a less than a day - will only use a gallon or 2 of gas that is about $6.50 per gallon. Roads are not very well marked so make sure you get a map! Even then it was an adventure. Got to watch out for stray donkeys in the road and their droppings! Good time was had although there is not much in the way of eaterys and shopping in the city - at least not that we could find.

I celebrated my 50th birthday w/our port to Grand Turk & was so excited to rent a Jeep to explore the island ourselves. I should have lowered my expectations not to expect a clean & well-kept Jeep, as it is a rental & lives on a sea salt & sandy island. We had a little trouble finding the cart to collect our Jeep, and the people seemed more interested in getting more people to rent golf carts than to take us to our vehicle, but we were eventually taken care of. We were put in one Jeep and while we were settling in, a man came & asked us to get out of the Jeep & we were told to take the Jeep behind us. This second Jeep was not there originally, and we were perfectly happy w/the first Jeep we were given, but we did as asked. Upon getting in the replacement Jeep we immediately noticed that the A/C barely blew cold air, but our first Jeep had great A/C! I expressed my concern & a gentleman showed me that the air was turned on. This was not at all the problem, it was indeed on but barely blowing. I asked that we be allowed to take the first Jeep we were given and two men said we couldn't. I finally had to insist, as I get heat exhaustion very easily and really just wanted to enjoy my birthday on the island. Another gentleman stepped in & kindly retrieved the original Jeep for us again and we were good to go! Note that the Jeep's do not start out w/a full tank of gas, but you are expected to return it w/the same amount of gas as when you started. They literally said to just put $20 in it before we return it and we'll be fine. We only had to put in $10 worth of gas and it refilled to our starting point, so don't fret about filling up the tank for the next renter after you.
Once we got the Jeep straightened out, we had a lovely day exploring the island. We drove to the farthest point of the island to the historic lighthouse, took lots of photos, got a soda at the bar, fed the donkeys carrots & expressed great gratitude for the A/C in the Jeep! After about 2 hours we went back to port & spent the rest of our time on the beach. It was a great way to see the island in a casual & relaxed way.

We had a golf cart rental planned for our port day here but our ship had to make an emergency stop in Nassau which means we were unable to even stop in Grand Turk. I have been emailing trying to get a refund on this but nobody is responding. I'm very disappointed in their customer service so far.

We enjoyed touring Grand Turk in our Jeep. We had some difficulty in finding the booth but that was because the security officer directed us to go out of the gate from the terminal. Once we finally found the booth, it was very easy to get a jeep. Thank goodness I booked in advanced as there was another cruise ship in port at the same time and several people were turned away as they didn't have anymore jeeps. Happy we had air conditioning as it was warm so it was a cool break from the sun. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 is because the brakes were not as good as what we're use to. So happy we got a Jeep to see all the island. Plus way cheaper than doing an excursion with the cruise line.

We rented 2 golf carts. 1 4 person and 1 6 person. They were ready as soon as we got off the ship although the pickup area was not well marked and i did wander around a bit before calling them to find out where they were. Both carts worked, however the 4 person had a broken brake pad that you had to pull up with your foot and no key to take out so anyone could take it. The 4 person cart also ran significantly slower than the 6 person but they got us all over the island with no issues. It was great to have the freedom to go wherever we wanted on our time schedule. We are not big fans of the scheduled tours. We had an amazing time and we stopped all over to feed wild donkeys. The guys at pickup and dropoff were very nice and helpful, my only other complaint is that the communication beforehand was not great. I had a few concerns because we had my 72 year old parents and I had to send 4 emails before I got any sort of response.

I had a private snorkel adventure with Jimmy form Wet Money tours on Jan 18th! It was the best snorkeling I had ever taken! Private is the way to go and this company its top notch! After the snorkeling .....with soooo many fish...we stopped at a small island where they feed Stingrays and have that as a private handling as well! Also had a person on the sand that made shells with conch fresh and made it right then and there! This was so awesome! Highly recommend instead of a boat filled with 30 people! Thanks again Jimmy!

Overall this was a wonderful experience. What a nice way to see the Island of Grand Turk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and everything was ready per our reservation.
The one comment would be that our cart had a slight concern with the brake. Make sure it works well before taking off. Once we learned the idiosyncrasies about our particular cart it wasn’t an issue.
I would definitely recommend and reserve Wet Money again.

Are we able to reserve the jeeps ahead of time ? Do you have pictures of the jeeps? Thank you !

We did a snorkeling trip. We did make a reservation in advance with a small deposit but you cannot pay for the whole trip in advance.
You will need cash to pay the remaining balance.
Boat and van are older models, but seem to run fine.
Guides were great!

E-mails do not seem to go through. Tried to get some info for an upcoming trip. Have not seen too many post after the hurricanes. Are you still in business?

Hi, Bonnie. What would you like to know about this attraction? how much was the excursion and where do you purchase
Written September 20, 2017
DO NOT reserve ahead, you will get ripped off. Walk up, use cash. If you start to walk away, they often offer you a lower price.

Trying to get more info about the hop on/off horseback ride. Where are the stables if I am getting myself there on my own and do we need reservations.
Written February 28, 2017
No stable located on the beach hand side two minutes away after you come of the boat...!

I can't seem to get an e-mail through to you. Not sure why. I'm trying to reserve a golf cart for 2/17/17. I have sent 3 e-mails to your e-mail address. But still have not received an answer. Do I need to make a deposit to secure a gaurenteed golf cart rental? If so then how? John Ormsbee

I know the island is small. Is it better to rent a jeep or a golf cart?
Written September 15, 2016
Hi,
How do you engage with the company ? Do you e-mail and book in advance ? Or do you just approach them in port. My first cruise coming up so any advice gratefully received !!
Written May 13, 2016
We got off the ship and found Jimmy and Abraham. They held signs that said, Wet money. More than 1/2 the price of the cruise ship. We were on Carnival, not sure if all the ships dock at the same place. Awesome guys! Awesome excursion! Stop by the Jack shack for the conch fritters. It's right on the beach.
