The sand is to die for. There's an old ship at the shore. It looks run down but you need to walk further down. The cruise ships dock a little ways from there but it is worth seeing and feeling !

This is the most amazing beach ever! The sand is like silk and the water is crystal clear because the sand is so white. There is a shipwreck on the shore line kind of cool but also a bit disruptive to the view. No worries....More

We walked from the ship to the beach. We were trying to get to the other side of the island, but everyone kept directing us to the Governor's Beach. The beach was beautiful, and no one but us there. Snorkeling was bad, but I didn't...More

As others have done; we rented a golf cart and made our way to the beach only to find a run down, abandoned area. The women's rest room was boarded up with other parts overgrown with vegetation and falling apart. The beach is nice and...More

I loved this beach. Beautiful, soft, sand. Crystal clear water. Hardly anyone there. We got off the cruise ship at noon, rented a golf cart, drove straight there and had the beach to ourselves for around 30 minutes before anyone else even got there. Even...More

*Just a note. This beach is located on Grand Turk yet is unsearchable under Grand Turk here on tripadvisor. Please fix this tripadvisor so those staying on Grand Turk and seaching under 'things to do' or 'beaches' will know about this AMAZING beach! So many...More

Beautifull Sand, away from the Crowd. Very close to Margaritta's village if you come by boat. If you stay on the Island there is a good parking spot. This is a perfect spot for kids also and the the water does not goes depth too...More

There is a beached ship, the Mega One Triton, that is full of rust and sealife. Locals climb up on it and jump off but I was not that brave. I would recommend staying off the ship but if you do, you should wear protective...More

We came for a day visit to Governors Beach by renting a golf cart. It's right down the street from the cruise terminal and super easy to find. Although the beach does not have any food or drinks there (there use to be and the...More

Turks & Caicos was the last stop on our cruise and I read about "Governors beach" on a tripadvisor forum. If you do not want to deal with crowds, noise and tons of people on the beach then you may want to experience the beauty...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Hello. I'm reading conflicting information about this beach. Some places say that there are vendors offering food and drinks on port days. Others say there's nothing and it's secluded. If there is in fact nothing, are there shops right at port we can buy alcoholic drinks to bring to the beach? I don't really care about not having chairs and we'll have water from the cruise ship. Thanks!
