We arranged with Maurice to meet at Pigeon Point and was met there by Captain Romeo. Started the trip at 2:30pm instead of the 2pm scheduled time, as the Captain was waiting for a group that ran late. It was fabulous! It was about 10 of us on the boat, so everyone had enough space for themselves! I particularly booked with Sugar Lips because the other boats were rammed crammed full of people! It looked so crowded and was blasting music, I don't know if they really enjoyed the tour at all! The people there were jammed together- when seeing that I was so happy we went with Sugar Lips! The small number on our boat meant personalized attention and we felt very safe because of this. We have enough time to snorkel, swim in the Nylon Pool and visit No Man's Land for the BBQ before the rowdy crowd from the other boats visited. Captain Romeo is very knowledgeable and seemed to know exactly what we wanted on the tour. I particularly liked how he did not overcrowd us, allowing us space to move whenever and wherever we want on the boat. The glass at the bottom of the boat was clean, so we were able to see the reef comfortably. The reef itself was not impressive- I guess global warming, coupled with the excessive party boats are damaging this beautiful reef. I would 100% recommend Sugar Lips, not only because we got the individualized attention, but because he cared enough about the safety of his passengers, especially my little boy.

This is a must do while in Tobago. We took the Cool Runnings boat out to Buccoo Reef, the Nylon Pool and no man's land. They had big speaker playing music, supplied water and gave a great presentation on the Buccoo reef. Once we arrived at the nylon pool everyone got off the boat and for at least an hour we swam and listened to music. It was perfect for couples and families. What an amazing time!!

This is a magnificent place, the water is a light shade of blue and is exactly what you pictured going to on a tropical vacation. To get here you’ve got two options. The first one is the “standard option” and buying a ticket from the many salesmen who no doubt will approach you in Pigeon Point or Storebay. The boats generally leave around 11AM and 2PM with stops at Buccoo Reef, Nylon Pool and No Mans Land. Snorkeling equipment is provided, but I recommend bringing your own. The going price is $100 TTD per person (you can apparently haggle with the salesmen) Yes I know the individuals who run the boats get some flak for being a bit “unprofessional” at times, but it is part of the character of them. Your second option is to pay $$$$$ for a private snorkeling charter which will take you on a much more comfortable cruise and will be much more professional at a cost of course

It was a little crazy getting on boats that took us to nylon pools but once we got there it was a lot of fun. The music on boat was fun and our boat had extra entertainment like a magician. The water was colder than expected tho but overall great experience.

My boyfriend and I bought tickets for regular boat tour however the boat we were placed on was a chartered party boat, unknown to us. We were lead to believe it was a regular tour boat and we would be back before dark. The party boat (which contained quite a few sketchy characters) stayed on no man's land well after dark, with no intention of leaving. The person in charge (who was also a part of the party) stated he would put us on another boat back to pigeon point. This boat took us to another glass bottom boat and stated that boat would take us back to pigeon point. The person on that boat had no idea about this plan so we were left stranded on a boat with a strange man, at night, no idea where we were. We were now left to figure out how to get back to pigeon point on our own. Thankfully, there was a road close by, but we still had to walk barefoot to civilisation at night, scared for our lives.
Worst experience I've ever had in Tobago. Never trusting this tour again!!!!!! Would never recommend!!!

I honestly don't know what I expected, but it was something a bit more grand than what it was. Maybe if it weren't talked up as much as it was, I would have appreciated it more. It was just 4ft deep water a ways off the shore. Nothing more spectacular to it. All the boat excursions dock in the same area too so it seems very scripted as well.

It is so cool to be standing up to your knees way out in the ocean. An experience not to be missed. Our glass-boat driver got into the water with us and found two large sea urchins for us to see and hold. The sand has an exfoliant effect - really softens your skin.

You are in the middle of the ocean and on top of coral that has broken up enough to be equivalent to course sand. All around you are reefs and the ocean. Larger boats that bring out the big crowds have stereo systems playing reggae and Soca music full blast. Take the small glassed-bottomed boat in Buccoo Bay. You will be given a little tour on the way to the Nylon Pool and they stop around some reefs and will let you snorkel a bit. Also, he will show you the cottage where Princess Margaret had her honeymoon in 1962. She was amazed at how clear the water is and compared it to nylon stockings - and so the name of the Nylon Pool.

I was told one looks 10 years younger after swimming here. Lies! I'm 68, and still look it. Oh well, it was still enjoyable. Came here with Captain Phillips from Buccoo Bay, nice small boat, I think there were 8 of us, plus 2 crew members. You will know Captain Phillips if you see him, as he is the Islands' most handsome man (so he says). Perhaps he was also the one who told me I'd look 10 years younger. Our outing wasn't as crowded as this main picture shows, either. It was a pleasant trip.

We took a boat trip out to see Buccoo Reef and the Nylon Pool. The Reef was a bit of a waste of time,as you can't really see it in a glass bottom boat and the fish all swim off because of the boat scares them off! However we did have fun at the Nylon Pool, which is a waist high, perfectly clear pool of water in the middle of the sea.It is a great place for splashing and messing about in and with all the other boats stopping there has a good party type atmosphere.

Where can you book the trip to Nylon Pool if you are on the beach at Pigeon please? Thank you.
What will be the fee for 3 adults TTD for the bucco reef and nylon pool tour? We would most likely book on the day or maybe book in advance.

I think it’s ok to go with kids in general but tour is not something special indeed. Ships are very simple with small glass “windows” on bottom so you can see corals etc. Bouts are very popular for party lovers so be ready that there will be crowd dancing and drinking. So I personally wouldn’t go there with 10m old. I don’t think anybody cares about security as there are no life jackets but all tour is not going far from coastline so I guess therefore it’s pretty safe.

Is the Nylon Pool only accessible by boat?
1) Is that something you need to book in advance?
2) Do you get to snorkel off the boat?
3) How long are the tours if you need one?
4) Do they provide any beverages or do you BYOB?
5) How much is it?
Thanks so much! Looks beautiful!

Hi my answers are the same as the others. Except you can walk to the pier in Pigeon Point and ask for Ringo as he is the boat captain. He was great and offered drinks. I watched him helping a person with disabilities to acess the Nylon Pool and also to climb onto the upper deck of the boat. Snorkling was available and experienced and beginners were catered for. I paid £12.
Hello,
I am planning on taking a trip to Tobago first time and would like to return to Trinidad the same day so I wanted to do the 11am nylon pool tour then have lunch, so how late do you think I should book back my return flight to Trinidad?
Every time I go Tobago I take the 4/5 flight simply because after you come back from Nylon Pool you may want to swim on Store Bay also.
After that you can walk around in the market and get nice little trinkets to take back...their rings are pretty.
Food wise....walk along toward the junction...there's both local and foreign foods...Bollicine is a lovely little place for salads while La Cantina has great pizza...further up has Arabic and fast food.

Hello
Did you just take a taxi to Pigeon Point Beach and then book a boat tour to the nylon pool from there?
Thank you!

No. We took a small boat from Castara. However, we did consider doing what you suggested, but chose to go by boat instead.
What are you allowed to go with on the boat what are the restrictions
