About
Tobago's most popular beach. Located in the south west of the island. It is easily accessible from the airport and many hotels. A host of activities makes it easy to spend an entire day at the facility and still have all your needs met. A variety of restaurants, bars, water sports and shopping awaits you. Or just relax at the beach which is patrolled by life guards. Pigeon Point Heritage Park features an iconic thatch roof jetty that is reminiscent of an unspoilt Caribbean and relaxed way of life. Lose yourself in the beauty of the park and then find yourself in the serenity of your surroundings. A must do while you are in Tobago.

We stayed at the bungalow at Pigeon Point Airbnb. The place was surprisingly spacious, with a large dining/living room and the bedrooms were located at the far end, ensuring quiet sleep time and privacy. We could sit in our yard or cross the road to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets on an unpopulated stretch of beach. The walk to the main beach, which we enjoyed every day was a short distance and well worth the jaunt. It was a 10 minute walk down the road, where there was a bar and you could enjoy a beverage while overlooking the water. A few steps further and you could purchase traditional food for lunch or take it home for dinner from the little huts that are there. Continue walking on Pigeon Point Road to the roundabout and turn right. There are many restaurants with different cuisine to choose from. Our favourite was Debe Delights. You could get Doubles or Allo Pie for an equivalent of $1.00CAD. Keep going past Kodi’s Natural Treats, but stop at the next restaurant and say hello to Shelly. She makes a delicious jerk chicken, oxtail stew and bbq’d chicken, among other things. Don’t forget to order “Festivals” they are delicious. It cannot go unsaid how our host, Ana, at the bungalow went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Although the accommodations could only be described as “tired and needing updated” Ana made every effort to upgrade items in the kitchen to make it more appealing. When we had trouble with out fridge, she had someone there to fix it as soon as she could. Also, the wifi didn’t work and although she could not fix it during our stay, she allowed us to use her wifi at the office, so that we could send messages to our families. Her warm greeting always welcomed us when we saw her. We would not hesitate to recommend this place, especially for someone who is not fussy and looking to be right on the most beautiful beach in Tobago.

Visitors to Pigeon local(seniors free) or foreign can expect a small entry fee . The white sandy beach with complimentary benches and shady trees ,
Concessionaires stands offer some variety of food /drinks.Other foods are not far away.
There are no hustlers on the beach so visitors are not harassed to buy stuff .There are no junkies or peddlers of other stuff.
Very relaxing clean beach.

Came to PP today and it was great. Beautiful beach lots of things to do like wind surfing or take a jet ski for a rip. There was a glass bottom boat tour run by captain dave we didn’t take cost was 240tt per person that seems reasonable.
Would recommend anyone visiting to check this place out there was. 20tt charge per person
We ate at Renmars had grilled fish it was delicious. Definitely recommend.
Looking forward to more Tobago.

We are no longer as big a fan of Pigeon Point beach. We use to be…and the beach is still beautiful. The entrance fee has increased a bit ($20 TTD PP) which is not a problem considering the amenities and life guards on duty it’s seems very reasonable; but then you have to pay again for chairs ($30 TTD PP) OK…but now the gazebos are chained off and you need to call to arrange rental…it just too much.
The last time we visited (years ago) we paid an entrance fee and then enjoyed a day at the beach. The gazebos we available on a first come basis and folks were pleasant, relaxed and just enjoying the beach.
It is now a business and a shame that a relaxing beach day is overshadowed by the tense business that now is Pigeon Point Beach.

Shallow water, can swim for hours here. 20TT to enter park and 30TT for sun lounger,300 TT for a hut. Can get glass bottomed boat here to experience nylon pool - 100TT per person (can negotiate with larger groups), Traditions restaurant on beach front does good bar food and fab photo opportunities all around. Well worth a visit but yes it’s not as unspoilt as it could be but it’s still super stunning place to be.

Went here for the day. We were staying at Coco Beach Resort and walked to Pigeon point which is a good 20min walk - there are stalls along the way where people are selling drinks and snacks, so you won't get thirsty in the heat. At the entrance you have to pay TDD20 per person and you get an armband. If no one is around, you can just go through as the staff at the beach who will come and collect the entry fee and give you an arm band.
Very nice beach with plenty of shade, you can also hire sunbeds for the day at TDD30 per bed(you pay at the ice cream shop, get a sunbed armband and then the staff bring you one). There are plenty of showers and toilets to use and also lock boxes if you want to store valuables. We did not use one, but assume you can just ask the staff to rent one for the day.
There are lots of places selling drinks, ice cream and food.
The water is very calm and nice to swim in.
We went on a Saturday and was expecting it too be busy, but it was not really. All in all a nice relaxing day, and would definitely recommend.

After negotiating a reasonable price to go from the town to the beach we were pleased that our driver told us about the island and some of the important buildings. We had to pay a small entrance fee as Pigeon Point is a nature reserve, our driver had explained this first. He came back for us at the agreed time. There were water sports, but we walked further up to a quieter area. There were plenty of sunbeds ( which you had to pay for of course). We enjoyed watching the pelicans diving for fish. Plenty of restrooms, cleaner and better appointed than many I’ve been to on beaches. No shortage of beach bars either and soft drinks were very reasonably priced. It’s an idyllic spot, one of the highlights of our holiday.

Stayed at a small lodging on Old Store Bay Rd and walked to Pigeon Point. It is a flat, easy walk and takes about 20 minutes. There is fee to get in, but I didn't mind paying. It was small in comparison to beaches/parks where I live. (I won't get into too many details as they have already been said.) The water was beautiful and occasionally my foot did hit a piece of coral, but for the most part it was smooth sand. I wasn't bothered by too many vendors. A nice "no thank you" was all that was needed. There was a little ice cream stand that had some of the best ice cream. The bathrooms and changing rooms were very nice. Just be careful as the floors can get slippery. A young boy did slip and busted his head open while I was there. It was nice to walk towards the end of park and watch the kite surfers. I enjoyed playing pool at the first bar/restaurant when I needed a break from the sun. I loved walking back right after sunset because along the road (in the park) I always got to encounter hummingbirds at the flowering bushes. They would let you get so close. I imagine some of the people driving by thought i was a bit strange talking to bushes as they may not have seen the birds lol. Tips: If you comb the beach before and after the event pavilion, you can find lots of sea glass and beautiful shells. Very quiet along there too so great photo opportunities or if you need solitude.

An absolutely stunning beach, definitely worth visiting while on the island. There’s a small entrance fee per person as this is a nature reserve, but when you get inside you understand why. The whole area is clean and well kept and there are good facilities available (lockers, showers, loos, lifeguard) as well as food outlets and bars. Traditions serves great food, we had really yummy bake and shark and the rum punch was excellent! Glass bottom boat tours are available from about 100TT pp, but we negotiated a more private day-long tour with a great guy called Anton. For 500TT pp he took us on a coastline tour by speedboat. We snorkelled in 3 different places, including the famous Buccoo Reef. The coral and fish were incredible! We also visited the Nylon Pool, and had a delicious bbq lunch on the beach on No Man’s Island. Anton was fab and dropped us off at all these places just after all the party boats had departed so we had them all to ourselves! What an incredible experience, thank you Anton - find this guy on the beach and book him!

The entrance fee is moderate, a few TT dollars, and the beach is superb. Perfect sand and sea. You can rent comfortable loungers for $5 US a day, also a huge sun umbrella for the same price. So, you can admire the scene in full shade (if you wish) and great comfort. If you arrive by car, you do best to drive as far as is possible, to the area where the loungers and 2/3 eateries are. Of course, you need a sunny day too, to appreciate the scene to its maximum advantage. When you venture for a swim you will find smooth white sand underneath. This is what gives the sea its magnificent turquoise colour.

Yes, we used US$ everywhere we went and usually we were given the same in change, only occasionally were we given Eastern Caribbean dollars as change, that was when they didn’t have US.

Ciao! Noi ritorneremo il prossimo gennaio e saremo su Costa magica e in 9! Sapresti dirmi, per cortesia, il nomendel Resort, quanto tempo ci vuole a raggiungerlo e i soldi per la macchina ( penso un taxi!)
Grazie mille

Hi, we can take a trip offered by our cruise ship or get a taxi, just wondered how safe it is for two woman to get a taxi?
Also will it be very busy as we get there on a Saturday, and is the beach entrance 20TT or 60TT?
Looks lovely and would really like to visit, unless anyone can suggest an alternative.
Thanks for any help.

I would say you should be ok to get a taxi, I can’t remember how much it was to get in but well worth the money. If you want to go on the glass bottom boat ask for Romeo, he was our skipper and although his boat wasn’t the prettiest, he was an absolute darling
Have a lovely holiday.... check out my other reviews because there was a bar on the beach by the jetty that was truly delightful and the owner (a very large chap) who was the best host ever...

Hi, do you need to pay for a chair or can you just sit on the sand?

Hi. You can just sit on the sand ; we dis the first afternoon we went. But the chairs arent expensive. They are only about £3 for the day. It's an absolutely stunning beach. Have a fabulous time.

Not sure to be honest, we got there about 10am, some places were open, others were not. The bar at the end was still opening and didnt serve drinks for at least 30 minutes after we arrived. The beach boys (no not the real ones) were still down there trying to sell trips though.

Hi, we are going to Pigeon Point and were thinking of the glass bottom boat tour. Can anyone help with the below please:
How long are the boat trips?
Roughly how much in TT$?
How often do they run (official website said 11am and 2pm)?
Is it suitable for a 7 year old?
Thanks alot.

Hi, boat trips officially are twice a day, it lasts max 2h. Ok for 7 years old, but don’t expect something extra ordinary. Price 120-160 TT$ depending on boat.

Any idea how much a taxi costs from Port of Spain cruise port to pigeon point beach please. Also how long it will take? TIA

Hello Pigeon Point beach is actually in our twin isle of Tobago, therefore you would have to go by the inter island ferry (2/12 to 4 hours depending on sea conditions) to Tobago from Port of Spain. Then its a fifteen minute taxi drive (depending on traffic) to Pigeon Point.
