About
Tobago's most popular beach. Located in the south west of the island. It is easily accessible from the airport and many hotels. A host of activities makes it easy to spend an entire day at the facility and still have all your needs met. A variety of restaurants, bars, water sports and shopping awaits you. Or just relax at the beach which is patrolled by life guards. Pigeon Point Heritage Park features an iconic thatch roof jetty that is reminiscent of an unspoilt Caribbean and relaxed way of life. Lose yourself in the beauty of the park and then find yourself in the serenity of your surroundings. A must do while you are in Tobago.

A beautiful beach cove set in a lovely national park location. The entrance fee is TTD 20 per person and we hired 2 sunbeds and 1 sun brolly for a total of TTD120. They were set up right on the front of the beach and were in good condition. The beach itself was very clean and there were areas where you could shade under the trees if preferred. Their were well maintained toilets and showers, an ice cream booth and 2 bars (one at either end of the beach). I would estimate that the beach stretches out for around 400m. The sea was relatively calm and there are a couple of small coral sand steps to negotiate entering and exiting the sea. There is a protective boundary for safe swimming as there are various boats and jet skis around. It's a great location for adults and families. We enjoyed 2 lovely days visiting this beach as our hotel was based on the Atlantic coast with no beach to access.

Beautiful beach with affordable accommodation, bars and restaurants and the possibility to rent sunbeds for 5$, they also accept €. Sunbeds can be placed directly under palm trees or other vegetation on the beach. The only drawback: the sea in the area protected by floating lines is shallow, despite the line is also far from the shore and going beyond it is very dangerous as boats and jet skis pass at high speed, in any case there are lifeguards who call people imprudent.

Paid the entrance fee($20 per adult), paid for 2 chairs and an umbrella ($90)for the 3 of us only to be told bythe workers there there that not more that one person can sit on the chair! Imagine renting a chair and then being told how to use it! Sort it’s a ridiculous rule that no other beach follows! Save your money and just lay out on the sand!

We came out of port and were approached by several taxi van operators all touting for excursions. I think they were asking $40 per couple. Kept walking, they follow and drop price, got it for $30 . Agree the return time and driver comes to collect. Only paid one way so no fear of being left. Driver arrived 15 mins early so got back to ship in good time. Regarding the beach, the pics are,as usual , are not the true representation. It was a bit narrow and sun beds were quite crammed and knackered. They wanted $25 for a pair and parasol. It’s an okay beach but I wouldn’t go again.

Scenic beach with white powdery sand and calm turquois blue water. Great sunset spot. The jetty stretching into the water is very photogenic. There is an entrance fee, but the beach has good facilities with restrooms, showers, concessions selling beer and snacks and a beach bar. There is also plenty of parking. It is kept clean and well maintained and there are lifeguards. Chaise lounges and umbrellas can be rented. There are also no vendors bothering you on the beach. However, it is a bit too commercialized for my liking as I prefer more authentic less developed beaches. Additionally, it is an extremely popular beach, maybe the most popular on Tobago and it can get busy. It's not a place for peace and quiet but is a place to have fun. Nothing wrong with that but know what to expect.

Pigeon Point Beach is probably the most iconic and most photographed spot in Tobago. The jetty is perfect for photos and the surrounding beach is stunning. You pay a small cover charge to enter which is worth is as it's well maintained, lifeguards, restaurants, shops, watersports, facilities with showers are all there. It can get really busy at peak times, we prefer it quieter but the picturesque views are amazing and it's reputation is well deserved.

Pay an entry fee ($3 pp) to enter this beautiful, shallow, coastal beach. Great place to chill out for the day. You are given a wristband which I presume pays for the wash and changing facilities. There are various shacks selling beer, water, and food. You can also pay for the use of a lounger and/or umbrella, but there are also many shady trees and picnic tables. The large swimming area is cordoned off and is very shallow. Many boat trips and water activities start from this point.

We came to Pigeon Point twice whilst staying on Tobago. A wonderful natural park on the edge of a white sandy beach, and clear blue sea! It’s only around £2.50 to enter for the day, and sun loungers cost about £4 each. There’s a few water activities that you can partake in, also a boat trip which lasts around 3 hours. Food is also available. There’s a bar/restaurant, as well traditional Tobagan street food ( that’s what we had, and it was delicious, and very cheap!) All in all a relaxing day!

We visited the beach three time during our recent trip to Tobago. The beach is worth all the hype, typical Caribbean views, soft sand and turquoise coloured waters!! Get there early 'to bag' an umbrella there are only 25 for the whole beach. Sun loungers are very good. Two restaurants at either end selling decent food and cold beer! The showers and toilets were excellent. And the chaps putting out the beds worked really hard all day. The only downside is if there is a Cruise ship in port, the beach gets very, very busy with often a couple of thousand passengers. This is your reviewers idea of Dante's second level of hell! Avoid if you can. Costs - 44ttd = Entry, Umbrella = 15ttd & Sunbed = 15ttd Recommended

Great beach, very clean, felt safe, loved the beautiful ceramics shop within the complex. Could easily stay for the day. We were surprised how cheap drinks were, we thought they’d be more expensive here. Overall a great place to visit, can imagine it gets busy in peak season.

Pigeon Point has become a very commercial Disney-like attraction with tacky bars and pricing for almost everything - shades, sunbeds (warning signs "one sun-bed per person - not to be shared'. The two little beaches are crowded and when we were there mid-week, there were local groups with ghetto-blasters scattered around hence zero tranquility. The food quality was rubbish and for those who expect a 'tropical paradise' it has become all very commercial. The only saving grace was the entrance fee of about US$2. We had a quick swim in the rough water, a drink and fled. Much better beaches to see in amazing Tobago!

The Caribbean colors of this not very large beach are unforgettable.
Once we disembarked from the ship, we reached it by private taxi before it was overrun by other cruise passengers, at a cost of $10 per person for a return trip. Entrance costs $3.50 per person and there is the possibility of renting sun loungers at a cost of $5 each.
There are bars and services.
I recommend the snorkeling trip at the cost of $30 per person to Buccoo Reef and Nyloon Pool.

We stayed at the bungalow at Pigeon Point Airbnb. The place was surprisingly spacious, with a large dining/living room and the bedrooms were located at the far end, ensuring quiet sleep time and privacy. We could sit in our yard or cross the road to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets on an unpopulated stretch of beach. The walk to the main beach, which we enjoyed every day was a short distance and well worth the jaunt. It was a 10 minute walk down the road, where there was a bar and you could enjoy a beverage while overlooking the water. A few steps further and you could purchase traditional food for lunch or take it home for dinner from the little huts that are there. Continue walking on Pigeon Point Road to the roundabout and turn right. There are many restaurants with different cuisine to choose from. Our favourite was Debe Delights. You could get Doubles or Allo Pie for an equivalent of $1.00CAD. Keep going past Kodi’s Natural Treats, but stop at the next restaurant and say hello to Shelly. She makes a delicious jerk chicken, oxtail stew and bbq’d chicken, among other things. Don’t forget to order “Festivals” they are delicious. It cannot go unsaid how our host, Ana, at the bungalow went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Although the accommodations could only be described as “tired and needing updated” Ana made every effort to upgrade items in the kitchen to make it more appealing. When we had trouble with out fridge, she had someone there to fix it as soon as she could. Also, the wifi didn’t work and although she could not fix it during our stay, she allowed us to use her wifi at the office, so that we could send messages to our families. Her warm greeting always welcomed us when we saw her. We would not hesitate to recommend this place, especially for someone who is not fussy and looking to be right on the most beautiful beach in Tobago.

Stunning, picture postcard beach. Really cheap entrance fee and day rental of loungers and parasols are also good value for a tourist spot. Decent facilities and a good bar near the pier to get a beer and have lunch.

Big tip. Go on the days when the cruise liners are not visiting the island.
It costs TTD$20 per person to enter the area.
We were disappointed with swimming at the beach as it shelves quite steeply and the entry to the water is quite stony.
There is plenty of shade under the palms if you need it.

I've read so many negative things about this spot that I can only think the reviewers are trying to save it for themselves! We were a group of 4, hired a taxi to take us out and return to get us 3-4 hours later. I'd say there was never more than 20 other people on the whole large beach while we were there. Competing vendors selling (very good!) rum punch and other fruit based drinks. One other vendor politely selling his jewelry. The beach sand was soft, water was clear, temperature was perfect and it was slightly cloudy. The only semi-negative is that it's a bit of a hike to the bathrooms from the beach. We all truly enjoyed our day and thought this was one of the best days of our trip. Go. You won't regret it!

First visit and not the last I hope. It was a big crush for me. Transportation to get there by taxi $25 round trip for both. Entry into the park is $3.50 per person and chairs $10 each. The water is just incredible and what can I say about the decor. The park is very clean and there are all the facilities on site. From the quay you can buy excursions for freediving or Nylon pool which we did not do this time.

A must go. We decided to go to this beach as Tobago was one of our port stops. We caught a taxi right outside of the port. The drive was about 25mins. There is a beach fee of approximately $3.50pp (USD). Once we were at the beach we were able to rent chairs and an umbrella. There were several amenities (showers & restrooms). The water was rough but cool. We ate at a restaurant on the beach and the food was delicious plus affordable. The restaurant played carribean music and was next to a pier. Overall great beach day for the family.

Visited this area a couple of times on our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend a visit when in Tobago. The last day of our holidays we visited with other couples from our resort Happy Birthday Jerome, and just as we were leaving a guy said stay we are realising the baby turtles which was an amazing experience. Definitely worth a visit and to see the famous jetty.
