Such a pity. A marvelous waterfall and gorgeous river, totally spoiled by locals. The parking area to the waterfall is not clearly signposted. Should you find your way to the waterfall, be prepared to close your eyes to piles of rubbish people didn't have the decency to take with them when they left. Don't go. What should be a national... This is a nice view to see. You can really see the beauty in the country when you look at the falls.

I love the drive similar to the Jackie Robinson in NYC its curves are just a driver's dream. The fresh air and just the scenary will put any stressed out traveler in a relaxed mode. You should always stop on the way for some of the local delicacies. From mango, tamarind ball to sugar cake, you will find something that... More

The Maracas waterfall is a MUST. Your just park your car at the last house and ask for the young boy's there that give you guidance. They know everything you need to know about the area. From the namw and uae of the numerous threes around to the snakes that might be encountered on the road. We did not encounter... More

The walk to the falls from the parking area is less than half of an hour at an east pace. During the rainy season it may take a little longer due to the wet surface and one may tend to loose footing easily. The fall itself is high . The water is really cool and wonderful especially on a hot... More

Relatively short hike to this location. Worth doing. Best to go with someone who is familiar with the territory. There are lots of Hiking Clubs who have this as one of the items of their yearly schedule.

First, I would advise against driving a small car to this waterfall. I did and I almost got stuck a few times. Most of the road is paved and in fair condition, but higher up towards the parking area the pavement has been washed out and there are some serious ruts and swails to drive though with a lot of... We are recently retired and wanted to see these falls. Our tour people explained you needed to walk to this but we still did not realise that you are wading up the river to the falls some of the time, or walking on paths. You do get your feet wet and the water can come up to your calves. It... More
