A good lime with friends just taking in the scenes and watching as people go by. You can even get involved in a game of drafts.

Great to see a bustling capital in a small island and to see how developed Trinidad is. Good place for bargains. The truth is...peace of mind is lacking knowing there have been alot of robberies, petty thefts. It's also a shame the homeless people are scattered everywhere and the smell of urine fills the air.

Being here will tell you a lot about trinidad but i won't call it an attraction. Is a hot spot of life and traffic that will let you realize that trinidad is a country built on foreigners investments, from the amount of banks. That is very unhealthy, you are surrounded from any fast food you know. The nice boardwalk with... More

Caribbean style hustle and bustle. For the adventurous visitor not easily intimidated. The east side has the historic RC cathedral which is worth a visit but is also adjacent to a somewhat lower income area of the city. Average Trinidadian workers on the go to and from work but be aware of the occasional vagrant looking for a handout. Leads... More

Nice and easy to find. at the foot of Fedrick Street. The service is a bit slow, the temperature inside the restaurant was a bit warm. The area is noisy and the bustle is heavy. Do not expect a quiet encounter.

It's an every day hussle & bussle to get to & from your destinations, people come & go daily...it's busy all the time, not time to chit chat...pace for so...there are some great vendors selling products of all sorts...fruits, clothing, shoes, accessories, food.

Independence Square is an excellent public space that serves the city from the docks of Port of Spain to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and beyond. It contains lush tropical trees that permit shaded walk into the city. It needs art and sculptures and fountains but it is a good start.

Spent a lot of time in this area shopping. It is confused and very busy. One of the main areas for office workers.

the area around, Charlotte Street etc is great, bustling, vibrant, multiple cultures, fun and picturesque. Independence Square itself is a little rundown with a few buildings , places of interest,.,.Lots of banks and cheap shops,,,food,,people sitting in the middle strip,,not far from the ferry,,if you like crowded streets with vendors and characters this is for you. bring a camera, water,...
