This popular beach spot fulfills the fantasy of the ideal Caribbean beach, but is just as famous for the scenic rainforest drive that must be made to reach it.

Maracas is a beautiful beach, however construction is presently underway in the area and it is a bit uncomfortable in terms of parking. Delicious food is available.

Always like visiting Maracas especially because of the lovely bake and shark from Richard's. Only thing is that in recent times the water has become a bit more rough making it hard to enjoy with small children.

A very popular beach. Great for sun bathing. Great for families and friends. The shark and bake there is delicious.

A very interesting experience for nature lovers and anyone who would like to be mesmerized by the natural settings of mangroves ,a variety of birds, plants and water.Advisable to wear casual comfortable clothing, walk with camera/s, some snacks and you are good to go.

The beach itself is nice, looks like it's from a movie. But it's a locals beach, so bear that in mind. There is local food sold near the beach. Water is clean and refreshing. Pain in the butt to get to. Drive through the winding...More

Rated a sone of the best beaches in Trinidad we were just a bit disappointed. The beach itself was beautiful but all the construction and vendors did not add to the pleasant experience. The bake and shark was great who wants roping when you have...More

There's a nice hilly drive to this beach. It's not the best of beaches, but it has calm waters, a relaxing vibe and nice eats and vendors in the area. There's a price to use the bathroom. Watch out for the "masseuse" offering 30mins massages....More

I have visited Maracus on every trip, and I am happy to see that they are finally upgrading the beachfront, parking lot, and food sheds. The water is clearer and cleaner than most beaches, especially those in "South". There are rumors that the famous "shark...More

The road is very narrow for the 2 lanes and it has many twists and sharp turns. Would highly recommend to go with an experienced local (tour guide). They also drive on the opposite side as North America so that is something... More

It's not expensive, I would compare it to a motel from about 40 years ago. Bare bones. But it's right on the beach basically. You just cross the street. But it is run down. I stayed at the Hilton in POS and that was 3 stars... More
