We stopped at this beach twice during our stay in Trinidad. Both times, the beach was quiet with few people there, which was nice not having to fight for space. This beach is also home to the famous Shark and Bake which is a traditional Trinidadian cuisine. There are a bunch of food shacks on the beach serving this and a number of other foods, but the iconic Richard’s Bake and Shark is the place to visit.

You cannot go to Trinidad and not go to Maracasss. Maracass Beach has the best bake n shark in Trinidad and Tobago. Now remember that bake n shark and just picture the best beach you've ever been to. I know God ain't the only one that appreciates his creation.

Not exactly a day at the beach I was expecting. Beautiful scenery, but it’s more crashing waves (rough waters) than rolling waves.

Always a blast. The most popular beach on the island. It's absolutely beautiful. Go for a walk, have something to eat, dance all under the watchful eyes of the skilled life guards. Just go, you won't regret it.
