My second trip here. Last time five years ago the facilities were basic but much has been done and work is ongoing to provide more facilities and restructure the site. An exciting journey by road to get there! Be sure to stop at the viewing site for incredible panorama shots and nice sweet snacks on the way. Very popular with... More

I love the bake and shark here the beach Is very scenic and the people are very friendly. The water is a Lil bit rough but there is plenty lifeguards on duty everyday so it's safe.

Maracas is still undergoing infrastructural repairs. The sea is rough most times, nice if you are into surfing. Over rated as far as I am concerned, the bake and shark is not what it use to be. The location of parking and the eating places, that is across the main and only road makes no sense to me. There is... More

During August, schools are out so it gets crowded from early o'clock... BUT... the upside is you can get Richard's Shark & Bake earlier too!! We got up there around 9:30a.m. and were able to settle on the sand in a lovely spot before the crowding really started and the lines for food got long. On a sunny day, by... More

The waves are too ruff for my liking, but if you're just liming, with food and good friends you will have a blast.

The maracas bay is simply a beautiful Place to spend the day. The beauty starts with the drive over the mountain range with its lush natural forest on both sides of the road, the towering peaks ( low by international standards) like majestic guides, following with the breath taking views of the Caribbean Sea. At maracas the beach offers a... More

When visiting family in Trinidad we decided to visit Maracas Beach after hearing so much about it. We drove (hire car) from Caroni, just south of Port-of-Spain, following the lovely winding roads over the mountains on Saddle Road taking the North Coast Road just after Santa Cruz. Those contemplating driving in Trinidad must prepare for some of the largest pot... More

This bay is breathtakingly beautiful. Serene waters which are perfect to swim and play in. Palm trees line the beach and this haven has not been spoilt by horrible hotels. It's such a plus to have a wonderful public beach like this! I just haven't given it a 5 star because of the limited for options. You can eat bake... More

I visited the beach. I had some bake and shark, it was delicious. The waters were a little rough but the beach itself was nice to just lay around and soak in some rays.
