Maracas Bay Beach!!!! omg. this beach is so damn beautiful. Its in the North part of Trinidad, and about an hour drive from the city. The drive alone was amazing, enjoying the drive through the city and then seeing the change to the country side....More

My wife and I recently visited Maracas Bay beach with friends from a cruise ship while in Trinidad. The beach was pretty average and the surrounding area wasn’t very special either. The “bake and shark” that the locals rave about wasn’t something I would recommend.

Mountains on all three sides. Gradual slope means you can enjoy the beach and waves. Shark sandwich is a must have

Beautiful breach area tucked in the Bay. Lost of people and vendors to buy lunch and drinks from! I loved the atmosphere and the view! Beach was clean and kid friendly!

Enjoyed the beach and the AWESOME Bake and Shark. This was the second time I had visited the Maracas Bay Beach and I must say, it will not be my last.

This has always been a gem but with recent beach construction and an apparent beach chair war, the visitor experience is much reduced. To be honest there are parts that are quite like a ghetto.

What a beautiful beach. Of course the food was great. I loved the beautiful trees especially the almond trees.

The beach was nice - there was some trash so I was concerned with walking barefoot. The shower/bathroom facilities are great.

The road is very narrow for the 2 lanes and it has many twists and sharp turns. Would highly recommend to go with an experienced local (tour guide). They also drive on the opposite side as North America so that is something... More

It's not expensive, I would compare it to a motel from about 40 years ago. Bare bones. But it's right on the beach basically. You just cross the street. But it is run down. I stayed at the Hilton in POS and that was 3 stars... More
