We were staying at the hotel so the tour is offered free of charge but I think it is only a few $ so great value and an interesting insiite into how a Caribbean Plantation is. We stayed at Sprinhouse villa so it was 2 min walk for us, but having experienced the tour I don't think it is worth a special trip in case you stay on the other side of the island. It is nice enough, but I don't find seeing an almond tree and tasting a fresh coconut something extraordinary. Having said that... More

A lovely lunch served with a smile. Happy for a few EC$ for you to stay and use the pool to swim etc. The only reason for this not being 5* is the distance from the sea - although the dining room is airy and lively its sad to be on such a small island and NOT see the sea!

Thank you for coming for lunch, we are so glad you enjoyed it and our staff looked after you well. We are a Plantation Hotel and our focus is on that and although the sea is most certainly a big part of the view (you can't exactly miss it!) you are right, we are not on the beach. Bequia has... Well I have to say my review is a little more downbeat than those previously. Essentially it is a stroll around a small plantation (probably created for this tour) being shown various fruit trees, herbs and spices, sugar cane and bee hives. Don't get me wrong - it was pleasant enough and very picturesque - however, I would only do... More

I'm sorry if we didn't meet your expectations of the tour. The land you walked around is actually what is left of what was once a vast Plantation covering virtually that whole end of Bequia. Over the last few decades land was sold off and developed with the villas you see in the hill sides around you. The vast commercial... More

One of the BEST tours I've had on any island. $10 EC, and you will come away with fruit samples worth more than that. Old sugar plantation now grows a wide variety of fruits, nuts, herbs and vegetables, and aromatics. Our guide Ezra was top-shelf. We toured with just our own party of five. Lots of photo opportunities, discussion and... More

We took the tour on the plantation and it was a great experience. The guide showed us all typed of plants - some of them we did not even know they existed. We could fast everything from coco water over fresh almond to sugar canes. And all the other things where I forgot the names (apologies). It is a great... More

We were staying at the hotel so this tour is complementary to guests but I understand it is only $10 a person so FANTASTIC value even at that! Our guide was Esera who works on the plantation and he gave us a fun 45 minute tour of the property telling us about it's local history, the animals and plants there.... More

My friends and I were staying in Lower Bay but had friends at Firefly and decided we'd make the trip over the hill to join them for a Firefire Plantation tour. It was the best EC$10 we spent all weekend. The atmosphere was very laid back but really informative and fun. Ezra was our guide and let us sample everything... More

A very interesting tour of a plantation. The Plantation used to grow indigo, sugar cane, copra and other crops for export to the United Kingdom. Today they grow other crops for use more locally, there is no export. You can still see indigo and sugar cane growing and there are the historical remains of the indigo processing tubs and sugar... This place is exceptionally beautiful. Rooms are very clean and surroundings peaceful and quiet. Staff was pleasant. Food was great. Everything very well thought out and this place is definitely for couples. Unfortunately i went with my friend so showers are designed for couples(open plan) and everything is romantic. No tv in rooms(no distractions). All fruit drinks i had tasted... More
