About
Greg was born and brought up on St. Kitts and Nevis and following his return home from College in Nova Scotia Canada in 1980, started working at his Parents hotel, the Ocean Terrace Inn, with one of his jobs being to do tours for the hotels guests. While growing up on St. Kitts, Greg's parents became leaders in the local Tourism Industry, starting one of the first hotels in the islands, with Greg's Dad, eventually receiving the "Order of the British Empire" (OBE), from the St. Kitts Government for his outstanding achievements in local Industry. This has given Greg a unique grounding as well as a deep sense of understanding for his home country and coupled with his tourism training abroad, has allowed him to become one of leading and longest serving tour guides in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Greg and his team of certified Tour Guides have won many awards from the Tourism Authority for their businesses high standards of service. From the very beginning Greg has used modified, 4X4 Land Rovers to do his "unique" island Safaris with. Being specially made, the 8 Land Rovers he uses today, are all open sided with mostly forward facing, stadium orientated seating, that provide his guests with the best way to experience exploring beyond the shores of St. Kitts and Nevis. Greg's Safaris is the only tour company in the Federation that uses 4X4 Land Rovers for touring on both islands! For your private, half days hiking pleasure, Greg has created two "unique looped hiking trails", one at the Phillips Mountain Valley (2 miles long), and at the other at the Wingfield River Valley (2 1/2 miles long), on St. Kitts. His company is also the only one on St. Kitts to offer driving tours from coast to coast through the lushly forested interior and while traveling through the mountains his guests would have access to a private 5 acre "mountain top property", perched1000 feet sea level, a place of cool temperatures and breathtaking views, that can only be experienced on a "one of kind" 4X4 Safari Tour with him and his guides. Greg is one of the founding members of the St. Christopher National Trust and as well, sits on the Central Forest Reserve National Park Committee. He is also a Life Member of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Brimstone Hill National Park and is also part owner of Sky Safaris, a company he started in 2009.

I have to start by saying WOW! We booked this through the cruise line. We had Greg as our tour guide, and you could tell the passion and love of his island. It is a must-do when visiting.
On tour, you see amazing views and understand the culture.

This experiance was just as depicted in the description. We were fortunate to have Greg as our safari driver and narrator. Greg being a local knows his St Kitts history. We were able to chat with Greg one on one at the Zanzi Beach Bar stop along the tour. This was our last island stop on our NCL cruise with this being the best excursion all week.

Great tour with the master himself, Greg. Fun, exciting, interesting and informative. Greg shared his extensive personal knowledge of this stunning island, it's significant history and the flora and fauna, plus much more. The Rainforest is incredible and the view from the top of the island is beautiful and very impressive. A couple of stops along the way for snacks and beverages were included in our tour, and much appreciated. We were a group of eight adults, and everyone truly enjoyed ourselves. Overall wonderful experience -- Highly recommended! Thank you Greg. Your personal charm and attention made the experience so enjoyable and memorable. Dan & Kimberley.

A great day trip. Greg was friendly and welcoming. Our driver was "The Preacher". You get taken into the rain forest, some awesome views not seen by others as you do require 4X 4. Time on the beach also. Our driver was great fun and very informative. Overall I would recommend booking with Greg and his team.

We got a private tour after our cruise ship excursion was sold out. And this was a great deal!! Our guide Hugh was fun, knowledgeable, and helpful through it all. Saw everything we wanted to see and then we got to spend an hour at a beach before heading back to the ship. Highly recommended.

We booked this excursion through Celebrity. We were a little surprised when we saw the transportation as we were expecting a keep with fewer people. The ride through the area was informative but took far too long to get get to the rainforest. Instead of allowing us to take photos of the mango trees, avocado and papaya trees we sped through this area.
Once we arrived to meet up with 2 other trucks there was a nice view of the city and a short trek up to a sugarcane plantation home, to view the countryside. Then back on the truck to get views of government buildings, hospital and monument. We stopped to get photos where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean which was very pretty. There were guy with baby monkeys charging for photos. We found this distasteful. But…. The most disappointing part of this tour was the visit to the beach. We went to a restaurant with a beach behind it. The ladies bathroom was out of order and Greg knew this as it had been out of order for at least 2 days. After driving around on bumpy roads for 2.5 hours there was no where to use the bathroom. We tried to go in the water but it was rocky and slimy. After waiting to get to the beach this is NOT what was expected.
Greg forgot to mention that there were easier ways to enter. He certainly didn’t forget to tell people to eat his friends food. We went back to the ship very dissatisfied customers.
Our driver was knowledgeable but we were forced to listen to him sing throughout the tour. Part of being in the rainforests is to listen to nature not religious songs.

Greg was an excellent tour guide, he bought alive the history of the Island and made the trip very interesting and enjoyable. The views from the top were incredible and we were well looked after and never rushed from one thing to the next.

If on a cruise but want a private trip does ending up at different beach create any issues with getting back to ship?

Hello, Thank you for your interest in our unique 4x4 Island Safaris, using specially modified Land Rover Defenders.
When booking with us privately we would use whatever time you have with us to plan your day so that you will inevitably be back at the dock on time.
All Beaches on St. Kitts are withing 30 minutes of being dockside
We have one adult person in our group that is in a wheelchair (regular chair, not a motorized or larger one that doesn't fold up). Would we be able to take this excursion (we're a party of 11 total) and have a place to fold up her wheelchair? She's paralyzed from the waist down and has full mobility of her arms - we are accustomed to picking her up and putting her in vehicles of all types already. She also has an attachment that is optional that will allow her to drive on the sand. Would this fit? If not, she would just not partake in the beach part of the excursion (or we'll figure something out). Just getting a gauge for whether we should bring the attachment off the ship or not.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your questions.
Yes if her wheelchair is collapsible, we would have space for it but it must be a fully collapsible wheelchair, as our space is limited ok?
However it is not advisable to bring along the wheelchairs power source as she won’t have to negotiate any sand as such, on our tour, unless of course she goes into the sea.
I hope this is helpful but please don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have any further questions.
Best Wishes,
Greg Pereira

What sites do you take folks to see? Do you go near the volcano? Black rocks? I don't know where things are in relationship to each other, so I apologize in advance it it's a silly question. Thanks!

Not sure of the exact spots in relation to each other but there were Black Rocks, a private beach, a sunken boat (snorkeling) and some amazing hiking through the jungle.
