Incredible snorkeling with Jermaine, nephew of Mr. Thenford Gray, and over 100 minutes in the water between Ruffles Beach and just north of Christophe Harbor on the south end of Saint Kitts in the Caribbean Sea. We started the day with a scenic drive from the cruiseship dock, stopping atop an overlook of the Atlantic Ocean meeting the Caribbean Sea, purchased a Coke from a local vendor and drank in the breathtaking views. We continue to two more overlooks of the Caribbean Sea before descending to our beach. Jermaine lead us into the water, he dove down retrieving a starfish we handled, before moving onto a shipwreck from 1752 with two canons. We continued onto another shipwreck from the 20th century and found an octopus under a rock. We moved on spoting many colorful fish, gray rays, eagle rays, lobster, an octopus in a conch shell, barracuda, flounder and crabs. We left the beach famished and Jermaine suggested lunch at the Shipwreck Beach Bar (food and drink separate). The fish tacos were amazing, great drinks, many locals eating lunch, snorkeling off the bar and local monkeys. Total time over six hours and half the cruise ship tour price. Will do it again on our next visit
