We visited with a Viking Cruise and the place is just wonderful. They've done a nice job restoring the old house with period furnishings. The guides were professional. The gardens were very well kept and the history of the place speaks to the time and gives a sense of what it must have been like to like as a plantation... More

Visited Fairview Great House & Botanical Garden as part of a Culinary Excursion from the Regal Princess cruise ship. The tour was conducted by a very personable guide who went into detail about life on a sugar plantation. Her explanation of the rooms and furnishings was excellent as well as the stories about the former inhabitants of the house, The... More

Booked this tour through a cruise line which included a tour of the estate, buildings and gardens along with a cooking demonstration and meal of the local cuisine by Caribbean Cooks. This was an excellent tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide. The cooking demonstration was very well prepared and executed. We were able to eat a complete meal that... More

It is well worth the trip to Fairview Great House and gardens. The views are gorgeous...the house is beautiful....the history was interesting...the hospitality was special. I look forward to going back for one of the rum or cooking tours.

This is a very old, well preserved estate and garden. The house contains period antiques and you are allowed to just wander around and look at everything. There are some very unusual flowers and beautiful overlooks (great photos). There is a café for snacks and drinks.

Took a historic tour and rum tasting excursion. We were amazed at the detail taken to restore the plantation and the history it played in St Kitts. The rum tasting was surprisingly good for a couple that doesnt drink rum, but now we have a favorite rum. People are great there and our guide was fantastic.

One of the best trips of our cruise. We were shown around the beautiful house and stunning gardens while the history was explained in detail by our charming hostess. The very reasonable price included lunch which was prepared and cooked by chef in a large cool shaded covered eating area. We were given recipe sheets which covered the meals that... More

The tour describes itself as a cooking class but it isn't. First they give you a tour of a house that they never mentioned. A total waste. If I wanted a house tour I would have signed up for one. The food was fair. Fish, terribly overlooked pork, tasteless vegetable escovitch. Not worth the time or money.

Our writers group booked this cooking tour to experience island food. We were not disappointed. The chef prepared each dish with loving care. We experienced fresh fish, pork, veggies, rice and beans, bananas and island spices. The tour included a walk around the great house that was built in the 1700's with French influence. The openness of the house allowed... More

We only had a 45 minute stop here but could have stayed longer. There is still a lot that could be done with it but well worth a visit. It is a plantation house who's origins go back to the early 18th century. It was about 79F outside but cool in the house. It contains some original furniture. The house... More
