You know how some places look great in pictures and kind of disappointing when you get there? This is not one of them. It did what it said on the tin. I travel a lot; for work, for pleasure; every now and again you find a special little gem that just makes you smile and glad to be alive each... More

We stayed at turtle beach cottage for a week (awesome & secluded) We awoke to beautiful beach views everyday. It is the windy side of the island so the waters are rougher. Snorkeling is great here. There are coral & rock formations near the shore & great for snorkeling. Locals come out on windy days to kite surf. Fun to... More

Turtle Beach is a very beautiful place to stay. The view from our apartment was outstanding. Both the Atlantic and the Caribbean were viewable. There was a dock that you could walk out on for star gazing!

My husband and I drove down to turtle beach yesterday in our rental car, which was quite an adventure in our little Kia! Well worth it though to find this little gem at the end. The only other people there were a kiteboard instructor and two students. It was very windy and cloudy, so we didn't try to snorkel, but... More

I had read good things about Turtle Beach, so after renting a car in Basseterre, the family and I headed out to the tip of the island. I was very disappointed in what I found. Perhaps there were other areas of the beach that were nicer, but from what I saw, it was covered in seaweed and a bunch of... More

It might have been nice if not for the seaweed. However, cockleshell beach was great. When I am back, maybe the seaweed will be gone.

Turtle beach itself was not that impressive. We were there in July and there was so much seaweed you couldn't walk on the beach. However, we stayed at turtle beach house and it was great. We had great views of the Atlantic and since we couldn't use turtle beach, we went to cockleshell beach ( 5 minute drive) and it... More
