One of the best beaches I've ever been to. Such calm, clear, beautiful water, gorgeous sand, beautiful tiny shells to be found. Can't wait to go again!!

I live in Grand Cayman and Governor's Beach is always my number 1 choice for a quiet and relaxing day on the beach. The crowd is always very minimal and the parking is great! (right next to the Westin) No entrance fees and the beach is absolutely breath-taking! Crystal clear water which is usually so calm it looks like glass.... More

Governor's reef was an excellent snorkeling spot located on Seven Mile Beach just north of the Westin Resort. The first time we looked for the reef, we didn't go out far enough, but as you're out there, just look back to shore and make sure you're at the north end of the white fence about 200-250 yds out. The second... More

There is an area to snorkel about 200 yards from shore; take fins if you want to do it as the current here is quite strong. Also check the cruise schedules, because it can be very crowded. Trees for shade, but no water to rinse off.

There are no facilities except a BBQ pit and the occasional ice cream van. The beach is quite steep to enter the sea and within a few steps you are waist deep. There is a... More

This is a great public beach that is part of the world famous seven mile beach. The sand is soft and wide with beautiful clear blue waters. You can walk along the beach in front of all of the big hotels along seven mile beach as the beach in front of all the hotels is public. You can also watch... More

If you walk north from the Westin and once you get to the end of the white fence in front of the Governor's house you should swim straight out for at least 200 yards and you will get to a nice reef that is in only 8-15 ft of water. There are many many reef fish and in a couple... More

The colour of the water is astonishing!! Just a small portion of seven mile beach, but well worth a stop to have a look.
