Came here based on other reviews. Go to the white buoy and there is a small reef with lots of fish. We saw a group of jet ski snorkelers that must have been feeding the fish. When they left they followed us around expecting food....More

We discovered Governor's Beach by accident while fleeing Calico Jack's and it's adjacent, well publicized but sketchy, public beach. This place is everything you thought 7-Mile Beach would be. Soft white coral sand, beautiful blue water, truly uncrowded even on a "cruise ship day". No...More

A public beach. Lovely white sand. No beach chairs or loungers available. Used for family/couples/single people who like to do their own thing. Picnics and downtime. Toilets facilities available.

Perfect place to laze on the beach - grab a quick dip before you head back to your condo/hotel/home!

Governor's Beach is clean with quite a bit of parking very close to beach. If you get a spot here you don't have to walk far to set up your beach stuff. I like to set up right behind the Governor's House (but in front...More

The one thing about Cayman, its had to find a beach that offers shade. This beach is beautiful and clean, but bring a sand unbrella and or a hat. Lots and Lots of suncreen and Water. There is not much for amenities.

This beach was a 5 minute walk from where we were staying so we spent a lot of time here. The beach is amazing soft sand, with crystals clear calm water. Absolutely beautiful. Its nice that it seems a bit more "local" than touristy too....More

Other beaches have better snorkeling like cemetery beach, smiths cove and Spotts beach. Probably best snorkeling is on the north side, Cayman Kia beach.

There are no rentals there but a blanket or towel to lay on would be fine. We took along with us every day one of the hotels bed covers and kept it in the keep we rented and used that so we would always have something to lay... More
