My family and I had an absolute blast with Sail Cayman’s Captain Neil providing the perfect afternoon. We were able to design our own tour with the guidance of Neil ultimately deciding to snorkel at the reef and visit stingray city (which is actually a sand bar in the middle of the bay). The experience exceeded expectations. The entire excursion—lead by Neil and his crew—is like going boating with friends (opposed to a paid for excursion with the masses). You board the boat from a yacht club (not a “tourist” in site) and can change your mind on the fly depending on the conditions. For example, we made a decision to go snorkeling first at an exclusive location and saved the stingrays for last (waiting for the crowd to subside). Neil educated us but not in a guide type of way. More like a friend having a casual conversation letting you know what to expect with just enough background and fun facts. A few truths that I didn’t read anywhere but found important: We did have a concern about the wind and what impact that would have on the stingrays. The bay is surrounded by a reef which acts as a natural barrier (the wind is buffered). The best time to sail if it is windy is during low tide (because of surrounding reef). I was skeptical about the stingrays and if they would be as good as described. It was BETTER. I highly recommend Sail Cayman!

Our group of 6 spent 4 hours with our amazing hosts’ Neil & Matt. Neil offered to pick our group up from the North side @Kaibo - which saved us the 40-75m to the west side & gave us more time on the water.
We spent time with the stingrays (really cool), several snorkeling locations that were great, and visiting the starfish.
The catamaran was nice - had Bluetooth, beanbags up front, covered rooftop, 2 bathrooms, etc. Our group brought drinks and food but never spent any time eating and spent most of our time in the water.
10/10 recommend a tour with Neil & Matt, bruh were experts on the ship and in the water, polite & social.

Great day out with Neill and Lewis. Very relaxed trip out to stingray city. Neil was a knowledgeable and friendly host. Boat had loads of snorkeling gear, he briefed us on how to handle and feed the stingrays, and was on hand when we had stupid questions. Totally recommended.

The boat was beautiful. The crew was fantastic, nice, and fun. We had three couples on a sunset cruise and we totally loved every minute of it. This is a first class operation. I would recommend them to anyone!

We (my family and 3 other families) chartered the Lazy Daz with Les as our captain last week. We went to Stingray City, snorkel stop, Rum Point to drink mudslides (where the drink was created), then to Starfish Point. Everyone agreed this was our favorite day of the entire trip. Les was awesome jumping in the water at Stingray City and holding one for us for photo ops and to get our 7 year good luck kiss. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone travelling to Grand Cayman!!!!!

Starting at 6:30p our Captain Neil Galway, owner of Sail Cayman, picked us up at the Yacht Club in West Bay in his 500 hp boat, the Lazy Daz. We motored to the Sand Bar in the North Sound where we stepped off the boat (no other boats around at this time of day) and fed the rays squid. Then we motored to the reef, which separates the Sound from the Ocean, for night-time snorkeling. Neil supplied mask, fins, and a high-powered LED flashlight. Following that we motored to Kaibo Yacht Club for a beach dinner and drinks. After dinner when it was really dark, we motored into "Bio Bay" where we sat on the side of the boat moving our feet in the water which creates a bluish-white light caused by minute bioluminescent animals. Finally we motored at 25 knouts back to our starting point. All in all a great adventure! Don't miss Sail Cayman when you are on Grand Cayman!

We (family of 4) took an early taxi ($25USD) right off the ship to the yacht club where the yellow rib and Les where already waiting. We were a bit early and Les had no problem getting us out to Stingray City before the crowds. Great morning experience with many stingray kisses and fly byes. From there Les took us to 2 separate reefs for some excellent snorkeling. We saw so many variety of fish we lost count! We then went to Starfish point were we witnessed a couple of bone fish swim right by us. The kids had a great time checking out all the starfish and playing on the beach. Next stop a great cup of coffee at a local restaurant/cafe on the water. Les then took us on a great eco tour of the mangroves prior to taking us back to the dock. He called us a taxi and had it waiting for us on arrival. Those four hours went by in a flash! What a great day! Thank you Les!

I emailed with Neil a number of times prior to my arrival and then upon arrival. He initially assured me of a Sunday morning timeslot on the Gemini RIB but then after not hearing back from him for two days was told that time slot was no longer available. Not a problem, these things happen-- BUT then when he offered me Monday morning and assured me it was available and I immediately replied back, he then again told me that time slot was now taken as well-- in my opinion poor service and not trustworthy-- maybe I caught him on a bad week, but do you want to take that risk with your vacation? we ultimately went with red sail and had a great experience.

We booked Sail Cayman to take out a group of 12 for 5 hours. Captain Neil and Danny were amazing. They were professional, courteous, easy going and super friendly and helpful. The boat was as advertised, clean and well maintained. He was on time and prepared for our arrival. We left and returned on time but never felt pressure to speed up or move on quickly.
They were knowledgeable, we felt safe at all times. Had a number of good briefings before we left and when we stopped at a new place.
Would absolutely recommend.

We rented a private charter on the Splendour in the Wind last week with Captain Neil and had an amazing time! Prior to our sailing, Captain Neil was easy to communicate with for scheduling and providing pertinent information to location to catch the charter and places to pick up food and liquor for our trip.
Once on board, everything was just perfect! In fact, we originally scheduled a 4 hour sail and extended it an hour as we were having such a great time. Captain Neil took us to a place to visit stingrays and a separate site for snorkeling. Then, we spent about 3 hours just sailing! Best of all, we did not visit any of the tourist locations....we were the only boat with the stingrays and snorkeling.
This was the absolute best decision of our cruise, to charter a sail boat with Captain Neil. I can't say enough about this experience. Just do it! Treat yourself and create amazing memories with your loved ones!
