So you're wondering why we're not #1, right? We only accommodate six divers! Fewer divers mean less reviews - simple. A beautiful dive boat, first class service, knowledgeable & experienced instructors. Everything about Indigo is handled with the care & attention to detail, that you'd expect from a truly owner-operated company. We get to know all our customers, their needs & concerns, as well as their favourite fish & critters! Fresh fruit, bottled water, & towels provided. We strive for excellence and cater to certified scuba divers of all experience levels. Chris & Kate love what they do and it shows - sharing their enthusiasm and comprehensive knowledge of the best dive spots Cayman has to offer. We feel that we have a top of the line operation, driven by one thing - a friendly positive attitude! So before you book that "smaller groups" dive shop - ask them 'smaller than what?'

Diving with Chris and Kate at Indigo Divers was truly a best-in-class dive experience. Only having six divers on the boat is awesome! It was so easy to get out to the dive sites and we felt taken care of the entire time with their expertise, great gear, and nice touches like towels and fruit. We had a great time during our 3 days diving with Indigo Divers and highly recommend them!

Owner-operators Kate and Chris run a superb dive shop. There are 6 divers or fewer on all trips and that means all are given great attention both on the boat and underwater. I like to take my time underwater and Kate and Chris not only accommodate me but always alert me to fascinating critters, whether a stunning reef shark or a tiny mantis shrimp. They are both so knowledgeable about the various reef sites that every dive is absorbing. I will return.

This review is late, but well deserved. We dove on two separate visits to Grand Cayman with Indigo in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020. Led by Katie and Captain Chris, they are a first class dive operation. They picked us up and deposited us back at our hotel efficiently and comfortably. Their boats are small, and we dove the wall relatively close to the shore. Needless to say, the dive sites are spectacular. Indigo limits their groups to 6, and are pretty strict about that. It's always a great day to dive, but it is also always better when the crew is friendly, experienced and professional.

Thanks for sharing! Yes - we are a stickler for small groups - the only time we cater to more than 6 divers is if you are a private group (when we will accommodate up to 8 divers). But regular trips is SIX DIVERS MAX! Glad you enjoyed your time with us & we hope to see you again now that travel is getting back to normal! Best wishes, Kate & Chris

I’ve just finished a fantastic couple of days diving with Kate and Chris.
This was my first time diving with Indigo Divers, but the best way to describe my experience is that it has been like diving with old friends.
Half of the clients on the boat were repeat customers that were well known to Kate and Chris - which is not unusual for them - but everybody was made to feel welcome and included in the very relaxed and friendly atmosphere that they create on-board.
You get to know them and the people that you are diving with, which is a very different feel from the larger dive operations that are often more akin to production lines.
Their boat is small but very comfortable even when loaded with their maximum of six divers (plus two crew) and all of the equipment needed.
Morning pick up was punctual from my accommodation; all of the admin had been done in advance online; the boat was clean, organised and well equipped; site and safety briefings were comprehensive; and service was top notch: I can see why their clients keep coming back!

Diving with Kate and Chris at Indigo Divers is the best dive experience one could have. They take us to the best sights, they have a wonderful boat, they keep the groups to 6 or less and the show us magnificent underwater beauty each time. We have been diving with them for several years and hope to continue to do so for many more. Their service is extraordinary and they are great fun. Once you dive with them, you will not want to dive with anyone else!

We have been coming to Grand Cayman for over 20years off and on and have dove dozens of times with several companies. We highly recommend Chis and Kate at Indigo Divers. They provide 5 star service and 6 divers max. The 6 divers max is important as they take care of you and your gear, make sure it is all setup right show you the best wildlife in the ocean. Always pointing out interesting sea creatures both large and very small. They also provide shuttle service from your hotel to the dock. We will dive with no one else, highly recommend!!

We finally made it back on Island🙌🏻♥️. Next year will be our 10 year anniversary diving with Chris and Kate who own and operate Indigo Divers in Grand Cayman. We come every 8 months and have logged close to 200 dives with Indigo. They truly cater to divers. If you like to find critters big or small they can help you appreciate the reefs, deep water, and everything in between. No more than 6 divers per boat. Other operations claim exceptional individual service but Indigo truly delivers. They can take you dive in different locations depending on weather. So always expect a great experience. They have towels, water, and snacks on board for between dives.

There are many good dive companies in Grand Cayman, but there is one GREAT one, Indigo Divers!
Eleven years ago I dived with four companies in Cayman. And I decided on Indigo Divers as the best of the bunch, and have not dived with any others in Cayman.
Why are they best?
1. The owners and dive masters, Chris and Kate, work as a well oiled machine. They complement each other and provide an enjoyable dive experience.
2. Safety is key to me. And I'm sure all divers. Kate and Chris observe and carefully watch all their divers. And yet are not overbearing.
3. Their experience and knowledge identify any problems with their divers and help correct and supply the solutions. They closely observe the divers both before the dives and during the dives. If someone forgets to put the regulator into their mouth before jumping into the water, they provide a gentle reminder. If someone doesn't have enough weight or too much, they have extra weight with them or will take the extra weight to help provide proper weighting.
4. Over the years I have become a better diver. And the reason is because of many helpful hints from Chris and Kate. New divers may want to let them know that if they see any flaws in their diving, they would like feedback.
5. During the dive interval, they make new divers comfortable by providing entertaining stories, and provide the opportunity for quiet reflection or comfortable conversations. Of course, the same is provided to repeat divers (and there are many).
6. During the dive Kate and Chris find and point out the many critters, both large and tiny.
7. An indication of a great diving company is repeat clients. I have met many divers over the years diving with Indigo Divers, and enjoy seeing and diving with them year after year.
Highly recommend.

This was an excellent dive experience. As soon a I got back on dry land, I was planning my next dive with Indigo Divers. Outstanding service, quality equipment and great dive sites visited. Friendly staff, willing to give advice and guidence if needed. I'm fairly new, having only recently qualified as OW, the Indigo Team delivered a friendly service, which enabled me to settle in quickly and enjoy the dives.
I recommend Indigo 100% and I am looking forward to many more dives with them.

Indigo Divers (dive@indigodivers.com) has been my go-to dive company on Grand Cayman Island for years. Chris and Kate Alpers, the owner-operators of Indigo Divers, offer a concierge experience that is both professional and thrilling. They have never chosen a dive site that I did not thoroughly enjoy. Their boat is comfortable, clean and inviting and their dive gear (if you need to rent) is top-notch. Chris and Kate know the islands reefs and underwater cliffs like they know their own home. Each dive site is fully previewed before each dive and a profile of each dive is fully explained before descending. Diving with Indigo Divers is like diving with family (and given they only take 6 divers on board for each dive, its an intimate, friendly vibe to say the least). As I said, I have been diving with Chris and Kate for years and it is truly a delight. They have my highest rating.

It depends on how long you will be in port. Indigo Divers generally goes out early morning and then again early afternoon and those times tend not to work with the port schedules of cruise ships.

My daughter is already booked for Scuba diving with you on Aug 25th and Aug 26th.
My wife and son and daughter would also like to jet ski and snorkel.
We are arriving on 8/24 and leaving 8/28.
Can you suggest a place or places or do you offer these too?

we will be in Georgetown early April 2016. Have done the stingray tour where is it that you die and how deep? not really interested in seeing sea turtles with a sandy bottom. Have the choice of their or Cozumel or Jamaica any info would be greatly appreciated
