Welcome to Grand Cayman's historic hotel for divers by divers... Scuba...

Welcome to Grand Cayman's historic hotel for divers by divers... Scuba Diving is the talk of the town here! Sunset House is the oldest hotel on Grand Cayman, started back in 1958 with the family Matriarch Ms. Hebe! The family still owns and operates this iconic dive resort today!

From an array of different variety of palm trees to an amazing house reef; from 5 custom dive boats, to Cathy Church and her retail and photo school (a world famous underwater photographer); from amazing Caribbean concoctions, to spicy Indian dishes; they all await you! And combined with warm Caymanian hospitality, you'll wonder why you waited so long to visit this West Indian oasis, or why you haven't come back sooner. Of course, the Caymans and Sunset House are a diver's paradise, with crystal-clear waters awaiting your arrival. Come to Sunset House today and experience now, what others have seen for over the last 55 years. An underwater photographer's perfect dive. Shipwrecks, curious big eels, cuddly stingrays and a legendary mermaid await you just steps from your room for those staying at Sunset House!

We just completed 5 days of diving with Sunset House. We had a great time, and the staff was incredibly helpful. We were diving with a couple of adults plus 5 teenagers, and most of us were recently Scuba certified. Sunset House was patient with us, gave us good pointers, and made sure we had a good time. The morning... More

My wife and I have stayed on Grand Cayman during many vacations and have always enjoyed the Sunset House. This past week we were on a Carnival Cruise and tendered into Georgetown, which doesn’t offer much for our liking (we are not shoppers). We only had a few hours in port, so we decided to take the short walk to... More

Good afternoon Keimo, I am very sorry you misread what the dive shop personnel was trying to convey to you upon your departure from the resort. Please let me clarify and make sure everyone understands our policies. Everyone is most welcome to the bar and restaurant. Those two entities of Sunset House (My Bar and SeaHarvest Restaurant) serve as many... More

Went here with a small group for a week long diving trip. We were hit by a tropical storm (not their fault), which meant we had to find things to do out of the water. This is what I found: 1) the walk to town was not bad, but the road has no sidewalks, making it dangerous; 2) the TV... More

The location on the water gives a good view. However, if you are not diving there is not much to do. There is no beach. And the thing you discover after checking in is that it is directly on the approach for the airport. There is a restaurant and a bar where you can get meals. But, you are too... More

Great atmosphere in the bar/restaurant especially after a couple of dive boats return, good selection of drinks, good food and service, it's just what you need after diving or just dropping in, a fun place and spectacular at sunset, amazing views.

Great dive resort in Cayman. Very friendly staff at the front desk and restaurant. Rooms are basic, grounds are very well kept. Pool is clean, view at sunset of course is amazing. Quiet and comfortable.

The dive resort looked really nice, and we heard good things from the divers, but we were only there for lunch at My Bar, their patio on the water. Conch fritters, local beer, free WiFi, friendly staff, beautiful view - what more could you ask for?

We spent an afternoon diving the sunset house reef. The Sunset House dive staff member that we encountered was really rude. Offered no advice on where to enter or anything. When asked questions, he provided rude short answers that weren't helpful. That being said, the shore dive is beautiful. We encountered abundant marine life. The coral is healthy and the... More
