Welcome to Grand Cayman's historic hotel for divers by divers... Scuba...

Welcome to Grand Cayman's historic hotel for divers by divers... Scuba Diving is the talk of the town here! Sunset House is the oldest hotel on Grand Cayman, started back in 1958 with the family Matriarch Ms. Hebe! The family still owns and operates this iconic dive resort today!

From an array of different variety of palm trees to an amazing house reef; from 5 custom dive boats, to Cathy Church and her retail and photo school (a world famous underwater photographer); from amazing Caribbean concoctions, to spicy Indian dishes; they all await you! And combined with warm Caymanian hospitality, you'll wonder why you waited so long to visit this West Indian oasis, or why you haven't come back sooner. Of course, the Caymans and Sunset House are a diver's paradise, with crystal-clear waters awaiting your arrival. Come to Sunset House today and experience now, what others have seen for over the last 55 years. An underwater photographer's perfect dive. Shipwrecks, curious big eels, cuddly stingrays and a legendary mermaid await you just steps from your room for those staying at Sunset House!

Spent 6 days at Sunset House and had a blast! All the staff were great at front desk and very helpful getting cabs and answering questions about places to go etc. Hotel room dated but very clean. Grounds kept clean and pool water was crystal clear. Dive operation set up very convenient for boat diving and shore diving. Dive staff... More

I loved this place. I did not stay there, but I went scuba diving with them. They had a first class operation. The boats were awesome and the service was amazing. They even gave me the VIP locker for my gear. Also, the MY BAR, which was the bar on site served a great happy hour and the best dolphin... More

Had an excellent time over the week of diving to the reefs along the Seven Mile Beach with the team at Sunset Beach. Kudos to Lee, Steve, Aaron (Arghh!), Salome, and others I've missed. Top drawer service and will be back for more!

We just completed 5 days of diving with Sunset House. We had a great time, and the staff was incredibly helpful. We were diving with a couple of adults plus 5 teenagers, and most of us were recently Scuba certified. Sunset House was patient with us, gave us good pointers, and made sure we had a good time. The morning... More

My wife and I have stayed on Grand Cayman during many vacations and have always enjoyed the Sunset House. This past week we were on a Carnival Cruise and tendered into Georgetown, which doesn’t offer much for our liking (we are not shoppers). We only had a few hours in port, so we decided to take the short walk to... More

Good afternoon Keimo, I am very sorry you misread what the dive shop personnel was trying to convey to you upon your departure from the resort. Please let me clarify and make sure everyone understands our policies. Everyone is most welcome to the bar and restaurant. Those two entities of Sunset House (My Bar and SeaHarvest Restaurant) serve as many... More

Went here with a small group for a week long diving trip. We were hit by a tropical storm (not their fault), which meant we had to find things to do out of the water. This is what I found: 1) the walk to town was not bad, but the road has no sidewalks, making it dangerous; 2) the TV... More

The location on the water gives a good view. However, if you are not diving there is not much to do. There is no beach. And the thing you discover after checking in is that it is directly on the approach for the airport. There is a restaurant and a bar where you can get meals. But, you are too... More

Great atmosphere in the bar/restaurant especially after a couple of dive boats return, good selection of drinks, good food and service, it's just what you need after diving or just dropping in, a fun place and spectacular at sunset, amazing views.
