About
Cayman Routes is a locally owned and operated tour company catering to singles, couples, families and small groups. We offer daytime land tours to many places including the Pedro St. James historic site, the QE2 Botanic Park, the Wreck of the Ten Sails Site, the Turtle Farm, Hell, the Blow Holes, Rum Point, Starfish Point and other numerous optional stops time and weather permitting. Pickups and dropoffs available in the George Town area including the cruise port, and the 7-Mile Beach area starting at 9Am. Other times and locations can be arranged. The best thing to do above water while in Cayman! Come and go LOCAL with us!

Shirley made our two week vacation perfect at Grand Cayman. From the time she picked us up at the airport to taking us to her suggested two dozen restaurants to returning us to the airport, our experience with her could not have been better. Her full day tour of the island was fabulous due to her knowledge of everything past and present of the island. She took us to the grocery store, to the liquor store, to the ice cream store, and everywhere we needed to go. Shirley is a native of Grand Cayman and seems to know most of the vendors in the island. She was always prompt for every outing, and charged what we thought were bargain prices. In her heart she loves Cayman and we love her!

We weren't on a tour. This review is all about Shirley. We were lost and as luck would have it Shirley was out in her yard as we were walking by. My husband decided to ask directions which led to her offering to take us where we wanted to go! SHE was one of the highlights of our cruise. Her kindness, honesty and generosity were unbelievable! She ended up taking us on a quick spin of the town, offering to drop us off anywhere, and at the same time sharing her deep Caymanian Roots and wisdom. All this... and refused compensation. Next time we are on the island, we will definitely hire her for a full on Grand Cayman experience. STRONGLY recommend contacting her for any of your Grand Cayman needs.

Shirley took us on a very informative tour of Grand Cayman which included stops at the Pedro St James historical landmark and the Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Park. Shirley's love of her native homeland was evident as she shared stories of Cayman's history and her own ancestry and lineage dating back to the island's earliest settlers. Her knowledge of the island's flora is exceptional. Shirley made many recommendations for dining, from seafood and steaks, to local spirits and ice cream, her suggestions never disappointed. From the moment she picked us up at the airport to the time she dropped us there two weeks later, Shirley provided us with transportation services wherever and whenever we requested them. We had a great vacation in Grand Cayman and Shirley Roulstone made it possible. We will be forever grateful to her!

Shirley Roulstone is the best. My family, total of 5 ranging from 78 to 17, had a wonderful time doing the Cayman Sampler tour. There was something for everyone in the family. We loved having Shirley all to ourselves and it was fabulous to see so much without everyone else from our cruise ship.
Shirley is fantastic in that she knows so much about the island and knows so many people. I really got a feel of the island by spending time with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone who really wants to enjoy the time they have on Grand Cayman.

We had the pleasure of having Shirley as our tour guide. She picked is up at the airport and brought us to the B&B we were staying at on the east end.
A couple days later she took us for an island tour. Along the way, she would point out different spots and educate us and provide details on each. It was awesome having her with us. We felt like VIP on her tour. She took us to a cliff that overlooked the ocean, Seven Mile Beach, Botanical Gardens, grocery store, anywhere we wanted to go!
Shirley is an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. We got to know more of her personal life on the way back to the airport. She gave up some tips for our pepper plants and banana trees back home. We will be coming back next year for another tour of the island!
Do yourself a favor and take a guided tour with her.

Of all of the trips we have taken - this is top of the list. Shirley is AMAZING! My husband wasn't so sure he wanted to take a tour - but it was the highlight of our cruise. She really goes over and above to cater to your wishes. She knows everyone on the island and everyone speaks highly of her. The knowledge she has and the heart she puts into the tour is the best. She asked what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. She took us to eat lunch and try Cayman food which was so relaxing sitting on the outdoor patio right on the water. You will not regret this experience. It is a MUST if you are visiting the Cayman Islands.

Shirley is a very experienced guide and a true Caymanian. Her tour provided plenty of island history, which is
fascinating. Her personal knowledge and experience contributed greatly to the tour. We enjoyed a local spot for lunch, The Caboose. Wonderful food, not the least bit touristy. Well worth the price!

We booked Shirley as an independent tour for our day in Grand Cayman, and it was one of the highlights of the trip.
First of all, I know some people are scared to do excursions on their own for fear of missing their ship or other timing issues. Don't be discouraged. Shirley met us right at the cruise port, was very easy to locate and kept an eye on the time for us so that we were back with plenty to spare. Her van was in great condition, clean and wonderful AC.
The tour itself was excellent. We stopped at a beach, the botanical gardens, Pedro St James, and several other sites. The entire time it felt like we were getting the true local perspective of Grand Cayman, and got to see what it was really like there. Everywhere we went the locals knew her and said hello to us. It was a much better experience than one of the large group tours, very personal.
Lunch at a local restaurant was also excellent and flavorful, one of the best meals we had on the trip.

The driver and owner Vincent took us all over the island making serval stops. He was very informative and you can tell he loved his Island. 9 to 5 or 3:30 for $50 US. Well worth it. We booked this at the resort. Only on Wednesdays.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! What a great trip!!
Shirley is great! The excursion was a Cayman Sampler.
Shirley picked us up in her van at the cruise terminal, thankfully the van is air conditioned! She then drove us to the eastern end of Grand Cayman. Along the way she asked us what we wanted to see and do. We were happy with her taking over. She showed us the behind the scenes of the island. Here Shirley is well known and a many generation descendant of the islands originals. She pointed out this house and this church, this happened over here, this shipwreck is over there. She took us to a great local "dive" for lunch and it was really great, even chicken tenders for the kids.
We stopped first at Pedro St. James historic site. She gave us a personal tour of the site and told us not only about the distant past but also its recent history. We were the only ones at the site!
Then the blow holes. Not as impressive as imagined but they produced spectacular pictures for our scrap book.
Lunch was next, then the Queen Elizabeth 2 Botanic Park. She took us around the park and even found a secluded part where we not only saw 1 but 2 Cayman Blue Iguana which from Shirley's great narration we were told are on their way back from extinction.
What made this tour great was Shirley's personal knowledge and comfort with my family. She knew the best times to go to each spot, where to see interesting things and who to talk to. This personal touch hands-down makes her tour well worth taking.
Would I recommend Cayman Routes Island Tours? - Most Definitely!

Hi Rosie, we will be in G. Cayman for the day on July 13 - 10:30am - 6pm. We will be tendered to the pier.
What can you offer for us for the day with a private tour, there will be 9 of us, from age 67 to 10), maybe including the turtle farm, swimming with stingrays, maybe some turtles, then sightseeing in town and lunch, if possible.
