We were so excited that Captain Marvin’s tours (Governer’s Bay) teamed up with Sweet Spot (North Side) to offer this tour. We did not want to drive 45 minutes to pick up this tour on the North Side. So we boarded at Captain Marvins dock and the crew took us across the bay to pick up a few more clients near Starfish Point. I was hesitant because we had seen some negative reviews but this crew and tour more than exceeded our expectations. The tour guide Segar was funny and very informative and his crew mate George (whom we had earlier met during our StingRay City tour) was equally knowledgeable and helpful. We watched a gorgeous sunset from Starfish Beach and then were able. to wade in the sandbar and find starfish with very careful and educational “eco-guidance” on do’s and don’t. Then we motored over to another shallow area with many jellyfish and had more careful interactions with these fascinating creatures. Finally it was dark enough to head into Bioluminiscent Bay and snorkel in the dark among the plankton. Everyone onboard our tour was fascinated and mesmerized by this “illluminating” experience. I would definitely recommend this tour! It was a little bit scary snorkeling in the dark, so make sure you use the “buddy” system. We didn’t even try to take pictures of the bioluminescence because we wanted to maximize our time immersed in the experience rather than trying to capture it.

This outfit had the best price on the bio bay tour at $70, which led my decision. Turns out they also provide an excellent fun and educational tour. The bio bay is truly a show stopper and not to be missed. The starfish stop and jellyfish stop were nice added bonuses. Captain Delroy and mates George and Michael were all just great. Great times had by all. The boat we used, North Sound II, is a beauty of a catamaran and it quickly and smoothly delivered us to each end of the Sound. The stars in the night sky were also pretty sweet. Good communication from company. Will definitely go again when I get back on island!

Booked the trip through The Sweet Spot but tour was actually provided by Captain Marvin. Truly enjoyed the bioluminescence tour with stop at Starfish Point. Delray, Alex, and Zunie made the trip interesting and informational. It is evident that they love and respect the ocean creatures and the biodiversity that surrounds the island. They make sure participants have an opportunity to interact appropriately with the star fish and the jelly fish. The boat ride back was a bit chilly so I recommend bringing a light jacket to wear especially if you participate in the snorkeling portion of the trip to experience the bioluminescence which was intriguing.

This is the worst tour I have ever taken in my life.
The tour was one hour instead of promised two. The tour started by looking for starfishes, that were not found. Than we continued to jellyfish area, where we stayed for another ten minutes. And finally arrived to bioluminescent part, that was the main reason we took the tour to begin with. Don’t be fooled by this, this is not a bioluminescent bay! I’ve seen couple before and this is not it. The tour guide tried to make us believe that the sea foam is the bioluminescent. But that was nothing close to it. We wasted 55 dollar on an hour we did not see anything, and the whole experience was total waste of time. It’s a horrible experience for anybody looking for any kind of fun.
Stay away!

We had a wonderful tour at the bio bay tour with our 7 and 9 year old boys. Kids and adults had tons of fun doing cannonballs off the boat at Starfish point during sunset and we loved learning about the upside down jellyfish before moving on to Bio Bay. We were lucky enough to book a non-cruise ship day, non busy night and WOW what a wonderful treat. The crew was amazing - knowledgable, kind, environmentally conscientious, fun and great with kids. Highly recommend this company!!!

We met “Sugar Bear” and his girlfriend at Kaibo dock and we took the little boat since it was just the two of us on this tour. We didn’t stop at Starfish Point because we had already been there earlier that day. Instead we took a leisurely sunset cruise and headed to the entry to the bioluminescent bay where we watched Sugar pick up a jelly fish. My husband joined in, learning that the palm of your hand does not get stung. I chickened out. Next we entered the bay, and Sugar taught us all about it. Husband jumped in along with Sugar, I stayed in the boat and stuck my feet in instead. The bioluminescence was awesome and it was so cool watching fish swim and how they lit up the bay. Sugar’s girlfriend was kind enough to take some pics and videos for us. We then saw some shrimp bioluminescence by stomping the boat a little. Afterwards Sugar pointed out some huge lobsters with a flashlight before heading back. It was very kind of them not to cancel on us because they usually don’t do such a small tour; others scheduled for this tour had cancelled leaving just my husband and I with a private tour. It was a highlight of our vacation.

Our family had an amazing experience with Sugar Bear and Del Roy. The boat was spacious, super clean, and stocked with water and juice. We visited stingray city, starfish point, jellyfish, and bio bay. Sugar Bear was very informative, attentive, personable, and just an all-around great guy! We never felt rushed and each member of my family had all their wishes met. Best experience in Cayman by far.

I was so angry that I actually spent $270 on the bio tour.. and I'm a resident. No way is it remotely worth that for four people. I didn't pay for a lecture from staff on Star fish and for him to say that"people are idiots". Wasn't about us though... Oh well that's alright then! Atrocious cattle market way of seeing the island... And at night. I would recommend more of the not so commercialised touring agencies

Thanks for your feedback. Please note that our tours are very competitively priced if one searches for bio tours around the globe. while I'm not sure what you mean by "and at night", one can only see the bio in the dark (at night). truly sorry to hear that the guides passion (or choice of words) for trying to keep the starfish as safe as possible did not meet your approval.

A must do on your to do list for Cayman Island! Our crew was attentive, friendly and knowledgable. The boat was clean and spacious with snorkel equipment and lifejackets to use to float in the bay while observing the . Beautiful night time views of the island and the sky. The bioluminescent bay was the icing on the cake. Such a cool and unique experience. Highly recommend this company and their sister company, Captain Marvin's for all of your tour needs while on the island.

This is an excellent company. 2 crew on the best boat - comfortable, easy to move around. They picked us up at the end of the dock adjacent to Kaibo Beach Bar and Grill on Rum Point. There was no sign on the beach. They had ice water and soda on the boat.

Stopped at Starfish Point on the Way to the Bio Tour. Not many starfish. They explained that there were hundreds there early in 2022. Apparently a lot of people take the starfish out of the water- which causes asphyxiation!!

The Bio Bay was excellent - much better than the Bio Bay in Puerto Rico.
