We went with Captain Marvin's tour. Great guides, friendly and knowledgeable. We opted for a day when cruise ships were not in port so it wouldn't be too crowded. Lots of stingrays. Amazing experience!

We were a little nervous about swimming with the stingrays, but we did it! We called Capt Marvin's the day of and they came and picked us up at our condo and took us to the office to pay and then a van took us to the boat. Our trip included stingray city & two snorkeling stops. It cost $40... More

Fun for all ages. Crystal clear waters, white sands and friendly stingrays. Out at sea at a sandbar that you can stand on and greet the stingrays, it's an awesome experience.

I cannot believe this is the number 1 rated activity in the Cayman Islands. The stingray city is ridiculously crowded, maybe 15-20 steady boats going in and out at a time with an average of 500 people all at this sand bar stingray city. The problem is, there aren't that many stingrays. Maybe 10 we saw total. The boat men... More

Paid to go with Red Sail Sports and I am glad we did. We were the first catamaran to arrive here and had about 15 minutes without any other boats. However, once the other boats arrived it was nonstop people and less contact with the rays. Get there early or forget about having a good time with the rays.

Stingray city is amazing. But its also overrun with people. Many who seem to not understand how to treat the animals, including some of the guides. They pack boats full of into the site, mishandle the animals by holding them too much, trying to hold onto their tails and wear sunscreen and deet into the water which affects the rays... More

If you want to do this right you need to plan around the cruise ships and book a private charter. The only way to get the real experience.

We did a "Breakfast with the sting rays" as we had read a review here that it's best to get to the sand bar early, before the Rays were over- handled. We went with Red Sails and had a great time! The crew was really friendly and helpful- we got several photos kissing the Rays and we both got to... More
