We booked this trip while on a cruise to GC. After Dexter personally picked us up at the cruise terminal we were surprised that we were the only ones that booked this tour. The van was air conditioned and comfortable. We picked up a few...More

So I brought my family to GC 25 years ago and took Dexter out to Sting Ray City. I did come back after 20 years for my 10th trip to GC. I went twice with Dexter this trip. He has a nice sail boat and...More

This was our most enjoyable afternoon in years! The sail back to the dock with Dexter and Oscar telling tales to the backdrop of island songs was "once in a lifetime" great. They are experts with stingrays and snorkeling. Both are "Old Conchs" and you'll...More

All the bad reviews are true. He says " island time " not once in his email did he mention that. We arrived first tender and went straight to where we were told. No sign of him. Once someone found him, he started yelling about...More

We really enjoyed our time on this tour. Would definitely return to take the tour again. They picked us up from the condo, supplied all the equipment and provided water and soft drinks. Sailed to stingray city and were instructed on how to handle the...More

We took great care in planning our excursion during our time in Grand Cayman. There were 8 of us traveling together from the ages of 16 to 75. Dexter's Fantasea proved to be the PERFECT tour. It started with a gorgeous ride on his catamaran...More

We took Dexter’s tour while on a cruise before Christmas. We had previously visited Grand cayman and wanted a smaller tour operation that allowed more time to snorkel. He was waiting on us at the cruise terminal when we disembarked and quickly got us to...More

Alternative to Dexter's Fantasea Tours (2 Replies)
Just learned today that Dexter's is not available the day our cruise is in port due to a private charter. We had chosen Dexter's because they do smaller tours. Can someone give me an alternative stingray tour which does smaller catamaran tours? Thank you.

Try Red Sail or Captain Bryan.

I think I've decided to use Capt. Dexter for my Stingray City trip and was curious if I needed to pre-book it. I've sent a couple emails with questions to them, but haven't gotten a response. I'll be arriving on a Saturday and wanted to take a Sunday trip to avoid the cruise ships so figured I might need to book it in advance. If anyone has done that with them, please advise. Also wondering if I need to pre-book Jolly Rogers Pirate Cruise as well.

we had a great trip with Dexter in '03, found the best way to reach him/make a reservation was to call. small groups were a plus and he's a great host. would highly recommend, especially if you want a more personal/less "touristy" experience. plus the stingrays are awesome!
