About
Established in 1975, Dive BVI is manned by certified and insured instructors and equipped with custom dive boats, tanks (air and Nitrox) and Scubapro Dive Equipment. Our professional team showcase a variety of experiences including: Closed-circuit Rebreather, Tech Diving, Multi-lingual, Freediving and more! We teach SSI courses from Try Scuba to Divemaster programs as well as offer checkout dive completions for SSI, PADI and NAUI students. Dive BVI also has private charter trips, snorkel excursions, and Island Hopper Excursions.

We had an awesome two days of diving with Steve and Orsi!! We highly recommend. Steve did very informative pre-dive plans, even threw in a little interesting history regarding the wrecks we dove. He and Orsi were very attentive to our needs, set us up real well, and lead some very awesome dives. We had some experienced and inexperienced divers and a bunch of Sunday snorkelers in our group so they had their hands full but we did not miss a beat. We dove the Rhone, wreck alley, and the thumb off Cooper Island. Steve told us about a great snorkel spot between Pelican Island and the Indians. It was spectacular as well.

We are currently visiting Scrub Island and signed up to take both the island hopper and the Virgin Gorda explorer. Both were some of the best excursions I have ever taken. We had incredibly knowledgeable guides (Becca and Roman) and captain (Zoltan). The group was small; 10 for virgin Gorda and 12 for the island hopper which made it more intimate and fun. The pace was perfect and they took us to multiple places, really getting a great feel for the BVI’s. This was our first trip here and I’d highly recommend booking a trip with Dive BVI. I know we will for sure be back and will be seeking out this company again for our next BVI adventure.

What can I say - they do everything possible in the most professional manner possible to ensure you have a good experience.
Came back after two year, hoping things were still the same because we had an excellent experience previously. Happily, DiveBVI continues to maintain top notch standards including many of the same staff.
Similar to last time, we had old and your divers. It all was great. Challenge this time was very windy conditions. Boat handling was excellent (Thanks Rupert). Site selection was excellent - somehow they found spots without much wave action even though it was blowing 25 kts. Guides were great. Boat was good. Gear was good. Help was good.
We did 6 dives over 3 days.
I can't think why anyone would go anywhere else. Thanks DiveBVI.

Just had to report what a terrific time we had on the all day snorkel trip with Capt Steve and DIVE BVI. The pick up was simple, it was just us from LDB and then a group from Scrub Island. He was so organized, making us stow our gear separately from theirs so at the end of the trip, everyone got their own stuff back easily.
He was fun, enthusiastic and so knowledgeable. He was quite the tour guide in the water. My husband and I have done this snorkel trip many times through LDB (who now outsources), and it was like we were seeing things for the first time. Capt Steve had it arranged that our lunch order at Willie T’s would be ready upon our arrival and even diving and recovering iWatch for a guest who lost it jumping off the back of the restaurant! And he was so nice about it.
Would highly recommend this trip.

Dive BVI was fantastic! My husband and I had not done a dive in over 20 years, so we completed a refresher course in our hometown, prior to our trip, and Becca took it from there! She made us feel so comfortable and safe, and made it fun and educational. I often have trouble equalizing the pressure in my ears on my descent, but she told me to relax, and to take my time. She carried an erase board with her, and pointed out fish and sea life the entire time. We identified many beautiful fish and other underwater creatures. Rupert was an excellent captain, and divemaster, and also very informative about dive protocol. We did not dive with him, but two others did, and seemed to have a wonderful time. We also did a tour of the Virgin Gorda Baths with Becca. She is a great hostess, and lots of fun. We will definitely use them again. Thanks for some great memories!

We just spent part of our last week diving with Becca and Rupert. What a great time! We have been diving all around the Caribbean (and other parts of the world) and our experience with Becca/Rupert rates up there with the best. The dive briefings, their attention to safety, the dives themselves pointing out interesting marine life, the attention to our gear between dives and then again at the dive shop are to be commended! True concierge diving. If in the BVI and considering scuba diving, we cannot recommend this dive company enough!

We dove with Dive BVi over Thanksgiving in 2022, I do not do many reviews but felt compelled to give this review due to the outstanding experience we had. So just a little bit of background my family is recently certified open water divers ( I am a rescue diver with 10 yrs of diving experience), so they are a bit inexperienced and over the last few years I have seen some pretty unsafe dive operations and was concerned. I want to tell you these folks are some of the best in the Carribean, Becca was our Dive Master and was so patient and helpful for my family, safety was her priority. She worked hard teaching us about better buoyancy and called out all the marine life. We did 4 dives with them, and all the sites were in great shape with lots of great corals, fish, turtles, rays and sharks.

This was the perfect day trip - a couple of snorkel stops, lujnch on the Willy T and then a couple of hours on Jost at White Bay. And very reasonably priced rather than a private charter. Steve was our captain and did a fine job piloting the boat and providing info about the fish, turtles, etc that we saw. Picks up at Virgin Gorda and Scrub Island.

The entire crew at Dive BVI were wonderful to work with (Rupert, Aziz, Steve, and Becca). Everyone was personable, professional, and simply good fun people. I was visiting the area on vacation with my son who wanted to get certified. Becca worked with us so Dive BVI could handle the open water sections of his certification, which they did. Becca did a fantastic job working with my high energy 11 year old son to finish his certification and he can't stop talking about going back specifically to dive with Becca.
I would recommend Dive BVI to anyone looking to dive in the area.

We are newbie divers and the team at Dive BVI did everything in their power to make us feel like we are rockstar divers. They were excellent at prepping us for the dive, shared extensive knowledge of the area, made sure we were all hydrated and ready to roll. Our dive master even shared her beanie with my sister who found the water to be a little chilly.
Under water, Becca, Matthias and Lolita ensured that we dove safely. Becca pointed out many interesting fish, corals and artifacts. Their attention to our comfort and skill levels assured us that we were safe and well cared for.
Loved our time diving and will definitely be back!!!

Why is there a 16 yr old requirement for Island Hopper?

Our Island Hopper trip is designed for our adult guests, with stops at the Willy T (floating bar) and White Bay (home to a dozen beach bars), along with our famous Rum Punch onboard the boat. The legal drinking age in BVI is 16, so that's what we go with. Cheers!
