We took the second entrance. The most (though not very) difficult portion of the trail is at the beginning. At a leisurely pace, we walked for about 20 minutes along the mostly shaded path to reach the viewing stand at the top and embrace the magical view. We encountered no one else until we met one other couple during our... More

Take the time to get to the top and walk down to all of the side paths to see some spectacular views and scenery

There are 2 entrances off the main road...I believe the one closer to Leverick Bay is the shorter one...just pull off to the side of the road. The hike is most strenuous at the beginning..views for the lookout tower at the top are amazing...

Not sure this is truly a 5 star hike compared to all the hikes of the world, but it was the perfect diversion from another day at the beach. 25 minutes up to a tree house like platform with a spectacular view of everything. We did not find the bugs bothersome, though we were wearing picaridin which seems to work... More

My family and I decided to take a Christmas Day hike to the top of Virgin Gorda Peak to get some exercise and it was time well spent. It is not a difficult hike to the top. The rise is fairly gentle and not to steep. However, it is hike that you don't want to do in flip-flops because part... More

The trail is easy to follow though narrow. About a 40 minute walk - tennis shoes recommended. It would have gotten a 5 star with the sturdy look out at the top, but the the view is limited to the sea all around the island, while the treetops block the view of the island itself.

Nice hike to break the cycle of sailing, eating and drinking. Moderate to steep grades with some loose sections and plenty of mud after rains. The views are very nice and you get to see several sides of the island from various vantage points. It's not strenuous but good fitness and sure feet make it much nicer. Take plenty of... More

My husband and I did the longer hike which took about 30 minutes. We didn't realize at the time that there was a shorter way. The hike isn't too difficult and the path is easy to follow. We didn't see any one else on the way there or back. I was expecting more than just a small lookout platform and... More

It's an okay hike, you're likely to see lizards and get an idea of the interior ecosystem of Gorda. Up top is a small lookout tower with views of most of the Virgin Islands.

There are 2 ways of arriving @ the top. One way a 30 min. hike & the other 20. Two different parking spots. (shorter one on road} Not a very difficult hike. A few upwards rocks etc.Mostly in the shade.
