About
Celtic Powerboats offers private charters aboard Celtic Pride, which is a 2018 Worldcat 320CC powered by twin Yamaha 300’s. It is licensed to carry 12 passengers in comfort and is the ideal boat for cruising BVI waters regardless of weather conditions. Your captain has an in-depth knowledge of the islands and provides a commentary en route. We stop at 4 snorkeling locations and lunch at either Norman or Cooper Island. Rates include captain, fuel, snorkeling equipment, towels, beverages, snacks, national park fees, and cruising permit.

We spent 10 days in Tortola over the holidays and our day out with Capt Rowan of Celtic Powerboats was absolutely our highlight of the entire trip! The boat was ideal for our family of 5 full sized people. It is a 32’ center console power boat (Cat Hull) and we all fit very comfortably. Given its size, its stability in choppy water and high cruising speed we were easily able to take in many different islands and waterways within the BVI that day. Capt Rowan is a wonderful guy, very easy going and a highly experienced and competent seaman. We had a loose plan in place for the day and whenever we wanted to alter it, Rowan was totally flexible. We will for sure be going out again with him aboard the Celtic Pride when we return to Tortola, and I highly recommend him for anyone considering a private charter to see the BVI. One mistake we made was to wait until we got to Tortola to book the charter. I advise booking well in advance of your trip to ensure availability the day you want.

From booking with Patrick who took time to understand our needs and the nuances of our group which was kids ages 4-10, adults and grandparents. He customized a plan and included all of our “must do” items. Day of the water was rough and Captain Rowan masterfully pivoted and adapted the plan to compensate for the conditions. We were able to see so much and linger when and where we wanted which would never be possible on a large group outing. This day was the highlight of our trip and we are so glad we connected with this team. Thanks Celtic for some awesome family memories!

We had a fantastic time with Captain Tom on our trip in the BVI's. I have chartered a lot of different boating companies (this was our third trip to the BVI's) and none of them compare to the hospitality Celtic Powerboats showed us. As someone born and raised in the BVI's, Captain Tom does an amazing job of taking you to all of the neatest places the BVI's has to offer. Patrick was also fantastic, and made it his responsibility to ensure our family had a great time on the water each day. Our boat, the Celtic Pride, was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Another positive aspect of Celtic was that they have their own private dock, so you don't have to worry about the marina traffic when you launch and land for the day. I would highly recommend Celtic Powerboats to anyone looking to cruise around the islands!!

I usually rate our trips describing both the good and the not so good. This experience with “Tortola Tom” was all good stuff. We have five prior trips to the BVI , all on sail. We continuously told our children and grandchildren about our times in the BVI, displayed the pictures at family barbecues and played the music. This time we scheduled three days with TORTOLA TOM on a Celtic powerboat and saw all the top spots. The boat was comfortable and quick between locations. Our group was nine people and all of us were very excited and pleased with our time with Tom. Highly recommended the experience

Captain Tom was amazing! We experienced a lot of high winds on our trip and her made us feel totally comfortable and safe. He is super knowledgeable about every aspect of the BVIs. We had such a great time on his boat, so much that we booked 2 days with him during our trip. We had kids on board and he was so good with them-provided snorkeling equipment, noodles, towels, everything you could think of. For the adults, there was an array of snacks and beverages that were perfect for the day. He had a great relationship with all of the people at the places we stopped at which is always a good sign. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back down and book another trip with Captain Tom and Celtic Powerboats.

In this unprecedented time of covid19 Patrick went above and beyond to ensure my charter from Tortola to St. Thomas went as smooth as possible, keeping me updated throughout the process as he coordinated with the government agencies to arrange permissions for the trip.

From beginning to end of the journey Patrick had every detail planned out and executed perfectly whilst ensuring all covid19 safety protocols were adhered too. This included picking me up at my home to arranging for a private taxi to meet me at the ferry dock and take me to the airport. Traveling during these circumstances of covid19 is quite challenging, however Celtic Powerboats made this journey far less stressful.

Patrick was also a lot of fun to travel with and the boat was in immaculate condition. I would highly recommend Celtic Powerboats to anyone visiting or resident in the BVI, I will certainly be using Patrick’s services again in the future.

What an awesome day with Capt Rowan of Celtic. Custom tailored trip just for our group of 8, picked up at our local dock (on time) with all the drinks (including painkillers) snorkel gear, and towels. We were able to hit numerous fun spots. The experience was top notch with a great accommodating captain and super clean boat - great memories on the waters of the BVI. Thanks Rowan and Celtic

Royal treatment with Celtic Powerboats! Started by departing from a private dock in West End and visiting the Indians, lunch at Cooper Island and visiting Just Van Dyke. It was just amazing how Captain Patrick not only drives the boat but also get provides with historical and fun facts about every location but also how he is so well prepared to cater your needs during the trip! He has water, towels, snorkeling gear and a great playlist!

If you want to have an amazing boat trip, I highly recommend Celtic Powerboats. 5+ stars!!

What a great day , thanks to Tom at Celtic powerboats, had a spectacular day touring the islands and showing my friends some of the beautiful things the BVI’s has to offer, wish the day was longer , Tom you hit it out of the park with what I had asked for and made the day very memorable, we all had a blast. I would highly , highly recommend Tom and Celtic Powerboats for a full fun day in the sun , touring the BVI’s. Hope to be back one day not in the distance future.😎🚤🏝

Highly recommend this boat tour!! I researched countless tours and initially chose this charter because friends recommended it and also because we could see a lot in a day. We were interested in a Catamaran but none of the charters I contacted could match the tour that Celtic Powerboats suggested. Turned out to be the best decision because Tom was unmatched as a Captain. We saw lots of others snorkeling in the water but Tom jumped in too and scoped out some great things for us to see. He can free dive 6o feet below the water and all of the people around us were in awe. Our adult children (22, 20 and 19) were in awe of him and called him a real life super hero and "Aquaman." He was so knowledgeable about every inch of the tour and gave us such a special day that we will never forget. The boat was super clean and comfortable and we truly loved every minute. Book this tour now!!
