About
Thank you SO MUCH for all of your support over the years! After the passing of our beloved Captain: THE Ocean Magic Mitch, we are no longer booking excursions in the beautiful British Virgin Islands. There are many other fantastic captains in the islands so enjoy all of the fun the BVI has to offer. One Love!

We booked a private boat with Ocean Magic Mitch Island Tours and had a fantastic time with Captain Malcolm.
We were two families with 2 sets of parents and kids ranging in age between 12 to 19. We arrived at Tortola on Norwegian Gem. Captain Malcolm was where he was said he will be and everyone knew him. We got on his boat right at the port and we were off to our first stop, The Baths at Virgin Gorda.
He stopped as close as he could to drop us off. It was a short swim to the shore from there and the boat had plenty of life vests for anyone who wanted it. We arrived at the Baths before big groups and had the place almost to ourselves, When we were done, we swam back to the boat.
From there we went to another beach to see sea turtles. After a short snorkeling there, we headed towards Indian Heads for a longer snorkeling session. Captain Malcolm had traditional snorkel mask and goggles as well as full face snorkel masks. Plenty of them for all of us and then some.
After snorkeling, we went for lunch at a wonderful restaurant where the food was fresh and tasty. We ate and relaxed at their beach (Free WiFi!!!) for a little bit before heading off to a private beach. We had to jump off the boat and swim to the beach, but it was short swim and we had the beach to just our group. We were given the option to go snorkeling some more or chilling out at the beach and we all chose the beach :)
As we were coming back to the port, it started pouring heavily! Captain Malcolm was kind enough to wait till the rain stopped and send us off with bottles of cane rum!
He also had a cooler full of water, soda and beer as well as plenty of snacks.
This trip will stay with us for a very long time and all of us had an awesome time! I strongly recommend the private charter as well as Captain Malcolm. Money and time well spent!

On January 24th, 2020 some friends and I chartered a boat, from Ocean Magic Mitch Island tours, to take us from Road Town, Tortola BVI to The Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke, BVI. We had the option to visit other islands, for no extra cost, in the BVI but we chose to remain on Jost Van Dyke. For the day.
We had a fabulous fun day with a great captain - Captain Malcolm. He could not have been nicer. The boat was well maintained, and a big advantage was that it was docked within a short walking distance from the Cruise Ship Dock. Other charters required a taxi ride to the boats.
We were not required to provide a deposit, it was done on the honor system. All payment was in cash. At the end of the tour. Beer, soda, water, and snacks were provided. We met the captain, when and where we had agreed to meet him.
In short we had a great beautiful day in the BVI thanks to Ocean Magic Mitch Island Tours and Captain Malcolm.
We highly recommend Ocean Magic Mitch Island Tours in Tortola.

We chartered Captain Rudy & his boat for our day at the British Virgin Islands. He was there right on 8am as promised. It was a short walk to his boat and we were off.
It was great to be ahead of excursion groups especially at Virgin Gorda where we visited first. We had to swim in and back out to the boat so be prepared with water proof bags if you want to take phones, money etc. Captain Rudy provided snorkel gear, flippers and noodles for the not so confident swimmer.
We loved his down to earth nature. His boat wasn't flash but it was clean and comfortable. He made sure we had a good time, tailoring our day to the weather conditions and our needs.
Wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

We had Captain Rudy take us to Sandy Spit and Jost Van Dyke. Him and his crew mate were awesome. On time, clean boat, very pleasant. Got us back on time, even though we were late getting on board. (I blame too pain killers at the Soggy dollar). Thanks for taking care of us Rudy. I would 100% recommend him and Magic Mitch boat charters.

Thank you for your great review and for the great day! Captain Rudy will always get you back to your ship in plenty of time, of course he can't be held responsible for what guest do after he drops them off at the ship's pier :). He said you were a great fun group! Please come back and enjoy these beautiful islands ANY time! Captain Rudy loves showing guests around the stunning scenery in which he was born. One Love!

After reading rave reviews on trip advisor, my family of four (with two children under 5) booked the Jost Van Dyke tour with Mitch and Katie. It was a fantastic day and catered to what we wanted. So much better than an impersonal, crowded cruise ship excursion. I highly recommend their company. Book them; you will not be disappointed. Such a fun day!

Thanks for the great review! We love taking our young families on the Jost van Dyke tour as the kids love to play in the white sands and calm aquamarine water of White Bay, the parents love the fresh lobster quesadillas and painkillers on the hammocks, and the whole family enjoys the outdoor games at B-Line on little known/little visited Little Jost van Dyke. Come back and see us again soon!

We had a truly incredible day with Mitch and Katie. Because of them, our family (including two kids, ages 5 and 7) has a treasure trove of "screen saver quality" memories from our sun, sand and surf-filled day.
Our time with Mitch and Katie was without question the highlight of our entire 10-day trip throughout Florida and the Caribbean. From picking us up to dropping us off and everything in between, Mitch made it clear it was our day to do as we pleased. Mitch and Katie made suggestions - all of which were perfect - and seemed to enjoy the day as much as we did.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mitch and Katie, for your amazing service, beautiful boat, the "secret beach," your kindness, and now your friendship. We couldn't have asked for a better day - or for better memories and we couldn't more highly recommend you to anyone considering a picture perfect charter!

I booked a private excursion for 7 people with Ocean Magic while we visited Tortola on the Disney Cruise. I had looked for a private excursion that was not too expensive, but had everything I was looking for and Ocean Magic turned out to be perfect. Mitch and Katie met us at the cruise pier and drove us over to the harbor where their boat was. We were able to buy beverages and ice at the dock and put them in the boat's cooler. We had such a great day touring BVI. Mitch and Katie took us to many locations, but the highlight was definitely visiting the Baths at Virgin Gorda. Both Mitch and Katie were friendly and fun to be with and we had a great time with them. They also got us back to the cruise ship pier in plenty of time as promised. I highly recommend spending they day with them!

Mitch came to our rescue at the Indians. We had been snorkeling with another company when the boat broke down. Several Captains came and tried to start our boat to no avail and the company we chartered with had all their boats out on other runs. Our Captain called his friend "Mitch" to come rescue us. We continued our day and had a great time. Mitch took us to Cooper Island, B-Line on Little Jost and several other stops along the way. He stayed later than normal just to make sure we had an extra nice time after being stranded for so long at the Indians. Hail Mitch!!!! We will charter again.

This is a GREAT day! We went out with Ocean Magic Mitch Island Tours for 2 separate tours: Jost van Dyke tour and the BVI tour (including the Baths, Willy T and snorkeling the Caves). Captain Mitch is professional, knowledgable, and FUN! The boat departs from Cane Garden fuel dock and is an impressive, clean, cared-for, 32 foot Intrepid with two engines. Mitch combined us with another group per our request (to split the cost) and we just had a blast! It was the BEST part of our time in Tortola! A GREAT way to see the magical British Virgin Islands! Mitch also has a taxi, so if you don't have a rental car, he will pick you up and drop you off at your villa for the boat tour.

We arrived in Tortola on a cruise April 2019 and chartered Captain Rudy's boat via Ocean Magic Mitch. They were very easy to coordinate with via email and did not require a deposit to hold open the date. We were 3 families with 2 adults and 2 kids- so 12 people total.
Rudy took us to a tiny little island, Sandy Spit, where were were able to swim in beautiful clear water. Then we went to Jost Van Dyck- to enjoy the beach and some drinks at Soggy Dollar. We ate lunch at Hendo's, which Captain Rudy and Ivan arranged for us ahead of time. We spent a few hours here and then we took off for some snorkeling. Last stop was Foxy's, which was really fun and Rudy was happy to give us extra time since our cruise ship was staying longer than originally booked.
The boat ride was fun and we were well taken care of! Would definitely hire Captain Rudy again!

Hi your trips sound wonderful, it is our children and grandchildren first experience in the Caribbean. We are off a cruise ship and are there New Years Day from 8am till 6:00 pm are you available that day? We are a group of 6 adults and two children 12 and 8. How much would it be for a 1/2 day or a day?

Hi. We are already booked for January 1, 2019, as is the Captain we refer people to when we are already booked.
Thanks so much for coming to Tortola! We are so happy about the return of our beloved cruise ship tourists! It's been a long year of rebuild and recovery after Hurricane Irma but we are ready for you and ANYTHING you do on that day in Tortola will help the hard-working people and its economy. So THANK YOU for coming!
