15+ years of experience sailing the BVI. Please join me for a relaxing day sail trip sailing and snorkeling the BVI hotspots. Originally from Canada I have lived and worked in the BVI for the past 15 years. I am a dive instructor and Captain and have been doing week-long sailing excursions. I now take groups of people out for the day to see some of the BVI hot spots. I can take private charters for dive tours or you can mingle with other guests on a group tour.

Last week we went out on a day charter, with Captain Alan on Catalyst. This was an absolutely amazing experience, the boat was so comfortable, and the food was first class. Captain Alan made us feel welcome and safe from beginning to end. The snorkeling was amazing, and the sail to Norman Island was so peaceful. Don’t forget to try the best rum punch you will ever have.

I am very familiar with the Virgin Islands and have traveled there many times. But Alan Roberts showed us areas that were new to me. And AWESOME! He was kind, courteous, and seemingly an always smiling Captain.
The rum punch and refreshments were first rate. The music fitting and fun. The Catalyst was a great boat that was spacious and comfortable. He even had these big floatation noodles that I could fit my beer in while enjoying the Caribbean.
I HIGHLY recommend Catalyst Day Sails and Captain Alan Roberts and will visit with him again. My friend Wilson and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

We booked a day sail on Catalyst with Captain Al last week, and everything was first class. The boat was ready for boarding when we were told, then we went on a wonderful sail to our first stop of the day, a beautiful snorkel at The Indians, it was like swimming in an aquarium. We then headed to a beach area, where Stand up paddle board were brought down for our use, this was our first time doing this, the kids just loved it. While we enjoyed the beach, the captain prepared a wonderful lunch of cheeseburgers in paradise, and rum punches; 5 star dining!
Catalyst is a wonderfully spacious and comfortable sailing catamaran, and we felt safe and pampered all day. After lunch, we went for another snorkel, at the caves, then a wonderful sail back to port, in plenty of time to meat our cruise ship for departure.

WOW, as Captain Al says…this was the best day of our vacation. If only I could give more than 5 stars. Top notch service from start to finish and a lot of fun. Ask him to teach you the Newfie shuffle. Can’t wait to go out with Captain Al again.

What an amazing experience with Captain Alan & crew. They picked us up promptly and were so friendly & professional. Put my mind at ease immediately as I get sea sick and wasn’t sure what to expect. Capt Alan has been down here sailing the islands for 19 years. Super knowledgeable of the area & history. We went snorkeling at the Indians - which was absolutely beautiful, Some of the best snorkeling I’ve seen-. While we were snorkeling Capt Al put on his chef hat and crew presented a beautiful grilled lunch. The boat was comfortable, clean, and we felt completely safe at all times. I would recommend this day trip to anyone coming down to the BVI’s.

I think it goes without saying that a boat trip in the islands is going to be amazing but what made this trip was Alan. This was the highlight of our vacation!!

My husband and I wanted to inquire for your sand spit / white bay day .. on TripAdvisor it shows you operating on 12/25/2019 will you be open for trips on that day we are staying on St John and would like to book the day ..
