We stopped briefly at Callwood Distillery on our way back to Road Town after lunch. This is a very small artisanal distillery; there is room for 3 or 4 couples inside the building at a time. A quick explanation of the distilling process can, for...More

Not really a tour but interesting 20 minute stop to check out the distillery, marvel at the fruit trees and taste their wares

If you visit Cane Garden Bay, walk up the road for a quick visit to this historic distillery. It is basically just one room, in which you can do a tasting of their rums (four types when we visited), then buy bottles at a very...More

Very authentic rum distillery. This place has been making the real deal for a long time. We enjoyed talking to the employee and tasting the different rum offerings.

At least that was what Matthew said. Haven't tried to put it to the test. Fun for a quick stop. Tasting was inexpensive. Pictures free if you bought something. 10 year old rum $20/bottle.

We stopped here and you can buy 4 shots of aged rum for $1. These rums are great. You can get a small bottle for $5 and larger one for $10. They make the rum right there. It is in an old building that is...More

Only local distillery left on Tortola. $1 buys you a sample of all they make. Well worth a stop if you have the time, we were on a Bareboat Charter and it was an easy walk from the Dingy dock in Cane Garden Bay. They...More

$1 buys you 4 small samplings of run that was distilled in the furnace outside the old stone building you are drinking in. $5 more dollars gets you a small bottle of your choice of spiced or white. $10 gets you an aged bottle. Needless...More

It was very interesting, but not what we expected. The "tour" is $2 per person, but after walking around the lone building and going into the one interior room to see the barrels and historical signage / news articles, we were not sure exactly what...More

This was a pleasant surprise. Taxi driver was taking us to Long Bay, asked if we wanted to stop at the oldest and only still operating rum distillery on the island. This place is full of historical character. Belly up and get your 4 shots...More

Hi. Does one have enough time to visit on a cruise stop over?

We were on a cruise and had time to visit distillery and beach.
How much is the entrance? I will be staying at Tortola and the tour that I find is $105 because it include a snorkeling tour. I only want to go to the distillery.

Hi! There was no fee. We paid just the taxi to reach the area.
