This distillery is a throwback to olden times on the Island but what a hoot. Fun guided tour, rum tastings, great T-shirts to purchase and lots of history and you have to leave with a bottle of local Rum. Great way to spend a few hours in Cane Garden Bay

This old distillery is a must stop if you are touring the island. They do charge $2 to taste their 4 rums. They are ok and are for sale for $5 -$15.Don't go in to just take pictures if you don't want to pay the $2. Nice folks. Fun stop

Ask for the private tour; for $2 per person, you'll learn how they still make rum at this facility. Then for another $1, you can sample the 4 rums they produce. We ended up purchasing a bottle of the Panty Dropper which is a sweet rum that goes down smooth.

The Distillery is, obviously, very old and we found it intresting to visit. It's a real "touristy" stop in Tortola, but a fun one. I believe they said their 400 year old boiler for making rum still works!

we took a mini bus tour from Road Town, $20, and stopped at this amazing Distillery, free entrance and $5 for a tasting session, that was great fun and well worth the experience, the guide was great and the rum even better

We stopped by here on our driving tour around the island when we just happened to see their sign. We have been to quite a few distilleries in different places but this was one of the smallest and rustic. We walked into the main area and were put off a little by a sign stating it cost $2 to take... More

Cane Garden Bay is a stunning location to snorkel and swim. The white sand beach even has an inflated trampoline in the water to entertain the children. If you continue past the beach, a short walk of 5 minutes you'll come across the Callwood Distilllery located on the left hand side of the road. For $1 you can get a... More

Our guide took us to visit, wasn't even sure it was open or a place to really visit, as there is so low key. A few hand painted signs, and an interior that looks like it hasn't been cleaned or changed for 100 years. But it is so worth the tiny price to have a fun rum tasting, and have... More

The Callwood Distillery looks like a shack the Big Bad Wolf could blow over in one puff, but they've been there for centuries, so it's gotta be more stable than it looks. If you're in Cane Garden Bay, pay the 1$ for the tasting and enjoy tasting the four different rums they have. Should take no more than 15 minutes.... More
