About
Celtic Powerboats offers private charters aboard Celtic Pride, which is a 2018 Worldcat 320CC powered by twin Yamaha 300’s. It is licensed to carry 12 passengers in comfort and is the ideal boat for cruising BVI waters regardless of weather conditions. Your captain has an in-depth knowledge of the islands and provides a commentary en route. We stop at 4 snorkeling locations and lunch at either Norman or Cooper Island. Rates include captain, fuel, snorkeling equipment, towels, beverages, snacks, national park fees, and cruising permit.

⛵ Incredible Experience with a Skilled Captain! 🌊

We had an unforgettable sailing trip through the British Virgin Islands, and our captain made all the difference! From navigating crystal-clear waters to finding the most breathtaking hidden coves, every moment was expertly handled.

✔ Professional & Knowledgeable – Our captain knew the best routes, secret snorkeling spots, and local gems like The Baths and Jost Van Dyke.
✔ Safety First – We felt completely at ease with their skills and experience, even in rougher waters.
✔ Great Personality – Fun, engaging, and full of island history and sailing stories!
✔ Custom Experience – They tailored the itinerary to our interests, whether it was adventure, relaxation, or beach bars.

🌟 Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore the BVI by boat! Can’t wait for the next trip! ⛵🌴

We had an amazing day aboard the Celtic Pride with Captain Chris! We had a one day stop in Tortola on our Disney Cruise, and had this day planned for months. The weather forecast wasn't great, and they even gave us the option of canceling if we wanted to since it was supposed to rain all day. We opted to give it a go, and I am so glad we did! Our family of four all agreed it was our favorite day, and a big reason for that was Patrick's friendliness throughout the planning process, and Chris! He met us at the marina, just a short walk from the port. The boat was beautiful, so clean, and prepped for us with snacks (a huge hit with the kids!) a cooler full of drinks, and lots of clean towels. Chris was so kind, skilled, and took us to some beautiful places to snorkel and explore, giving us some tips and stories about the islands along the way. We encountered some rain and scaryish thunderstorms, and we sheltered as best we could on the boat, and he made us all feel at ease and safe. We had a lovely lunch on Cooper Island - by that time Chris felt like a dear friend, and enjoyed his company and conversation. If we ever get back to the British Virgin Islands, we wouldn't hesitate to book this trip again! Just amazing! Thanks Patrick and Chris!

We had an amazing day on the boat with our captain Shemar. We started our day at 9:00 AM and with some general direction from us, Shemar guided us on a day that exceeded our expectations despite some choppy waters. We visited four beachside bars throughout the day, stopping occasionally for some great photo opps. The Celtic team was great and I would recommend it to anyone.

Captain Tom was just amazing. He has long experience in sailing and had a great itinerary for our day trip. He was very accommodating and made me feel very comfortable on the boat while professionally navigating the sea from one stop to another. It was also an absolute pleasure chatting with him throughout the trip as he has wealth of knowledge about the islands. I highly recommend Captain Tom. Thank you for great time!

Captain Rowan was terrific and customized the perfect itinerary for our crew of friends with 6 adults and 6 kids (ranging in age from 14-8). We snorkeled at a few stops including beautiful fish at Norman Island Indians and a sea turtle at Peter Island. We had a delicious lunch and adult beverages at Cooper Island. Captain Rowan was knowledgeable, polite, and accommodating of our needs. Double bonus is he kept us on schedule which was important since this trip was a shore excursion during a one day Cruise stop. Boat was clean, well maintained, and stocked with snacks and cold beverages.

Patrick made the reservation very easy and coordinated every detail perfectly. Captain Shemar was great. We met Captain Shemar less than a 3 minute walk from our port and went to The Baths, Coppers Island, and snorkeled at Peter Island with turtles. It was a perfect charter and we would strongly recommend Celtic Powerboats to anyone looking for a perfect outing.

We spent 10 days in Tortola over the holidays and our day out with Capt Rowan of Celtic Powerboats was absolutely our highlight of the entire trip! The boat was ideal for our family of 5 full sized people. It is a 32’ center console power boat (Cat Hull) and we all fit very comfortably. Given its size, its stability in choppy water and high cruising speed we were easily able to take in many different islands and waterways within the BVI that day. Capt Rowan is a wonderful guy, very easy going and a highly experienced and competent seaman. We had a loose plan in place for the day and whenever we wanted to alter it, Rowan was totally flexible. We will for sure be going out again with him aboard the Celtic Pride when we return to Tortola, and I highly recommend him for anyone considering a private charter to see the BVI. One mistake we made was to wait until we got to Tortola to book the charter. I advise booking well in advance of your trip to ensure availability the day you want.

We had a perfect day exploring Virgin Gorda at Bitter End Yacht Club, Oil Nut Bay, Saba Rock and Savannah Bay. Captain Tom navigated “sporty” water conditions and found us quiet spots out of the wind. We enjoyed Tom’s stories of life on the water and his keen eye for spotting underwater wildlife! Thank you Patrick & Tom for an epic and most memorable day!

Captain Tom gave us a perfect, custom trip that was memorable and entertaining. The double hull made for a smooth ride in rough waters and Tom's knowledge of the islands is without parallel. We hit all the local marinas and resorts and enjoyed a wonderfully secluded beach to top it all off. Highly recommend.

From booking with Patrick who took time to understand our needs and the nuances of our group which was kids ages 4-10, adults and grandparents. He customized a plan and included all of our “must do” items. Day of the water was rough and Captain Rowan masterfully pivoted and adapted the plan to compensate for the conditions. We were able to see so much and linger when and where we wanted which would never be possible on a large group outing. This day was the highlight of our trip and we are so glad we connected with this team. Thanks Celtic for some awesome family memories!
