I had an amazing experience with Sailing Virgins doing my ASA 101&103 in Croatia. Our instructor Marco was very knowledgeable, patient and so passionnate! He gave me the confidence to properly maneuver a sailboat while having a good time doing it. We had the chance to have two boats doing the course at the same time which was pretty unique! Regattas, island hopping and great laughs. Acquired a lot of new skills and friends for life! Can’t wait to book the intermediate course!!

The Croatian intermediate course was easily the best week of vacation I’ve ever spent. The instruction was superb— our two instructors were young and energetic, but still had probably a dozen Atlantic crossings and multiple circumnavigations between them. The learning was tailored to each of the students on board (with plenty of opportunity to review or go very deep), and the instructors emphasized practice over isolated theory, throwing in practical tips, tricks, and stories from their extensive experience. Cruising the Croatian Islands even without the instruction would have been a vacation in itself! The instructors were also local docents who knew all the most beautiful anchorages, swim spots, towns, and restaurants from multiple seasons in the area. They involved the students in daily passage planning, and tailored our on- and off-shore itinerary to the groups interests (and energy levels!) Both the instructors and other students were young, adventurous, and all around interesting people (our seven souls on board had passports from at least nine different countries!) I came away having learned way more than I could’ve anticipated, gained some confidence and miles under my belt, and had a fantastic tour of Croatia from a knowledgeable and responsible team. 10 out of 10 would recommend, and I hope I find myself (and some more friends) on future Sailing Virgins courses!

I simply cannot say enough good things about this trip! I recently did the BVI 101 and 103 course and had an absolute blast. I'm already planning my next course with them. This is a great company run by great people who are not only highly knowledgeable about sailing but also seem to really enjoy what they do. As someone who came into this with pretty much zero sailing experience, I feel that our instructor, Marco, did an excellent job of imparting a huge amount of knowledge in a fairly short time, and made it fun as hell! My crew mates were fantastic and we really came together as a group. The entire experience, from beginning to end, was the perfect mix of challenging adventure travel and relaxing tropical vacation. You will not simply learn theory and techniques, you will actually put them to use out on the sea every day. And the sense of accomplishment you get when you perform a technique correctly makes those beers at the end of the day taste even better (or Ting, if you prefer)!! While you don't need to be an athlete to do this course, by any means, you should probably at least be in halfway decent shape. You also don't necessarily need to be too young either, just young at heart. If you are high maintenance, need constant pampering, complain a lot, or are just a general a$$hole who can't get along with people, please stick to one of the stodgy, boring sailing schools that litter the Caribbean. But if you are easy going and up for a great adventure with other like minded people, then you will not find a better trip than this anywhere.

This was by FAR the best decision I’ve made In my entire life! I took the course over my bday, and it was legendary! Soggy Dollar and Foxy’s?! It landed on the perfect day!!! The whole crew clicked on day 1 and we had an amazing time learning together, constantly popping quiz questions to one another, but it never felt like I was “at school.” You have so much fun between the learning, you won’t even realize your attending class the whole time. When you pack, “LESS IS MORE” I used 1/4 of what I packed
