I made a reservation 2 months in advance for two divers for a 2-tank afternoon. Only 5 days before the reservation -- and only after I had contacted them to confirm -- did they tell me that they were cancelling because they had booked another...More

The Pros: The two gentlemen, dive master and boat captain, were completely amicable, friendly, and gave off nothing but good vibes. After the trip, they provided rinse tubs to clean gear. Boat was also in good service and well-suited to handle the rougher waters that...More

We had the pleasure of diving with Octopus Diving on St Patrick's day and my wife and I agreed it was the best diving we've ever experienced. Between the two dives, we saw several reef sharks, the largest lobster I've ever even heard about (let...More

No sorry, we aren't allowed to operate in those waters. Best place in Anguilla is Shoal Bay Scuba. Contact Matthew Billington, a good friend of mine and the owner. Hope this helps!

Questions about St. Martin/St Maarten? (1 Replies)
I have some questions about St. Martin/St. Maarten which I'm going to in June. What are some good restaurants to eat at for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Outside beach restaurants? We are staying at the Saphire Beach Club on Cupecoy Bay. What would be a good restaurant for our first night once we get settled in from our flight? I've got a jeep rented for our trip. We are going to scuba dive and fish while there but need some ideas where to eat. Not looking for super expensive places to eat but...More

If you have wheels there are any number of restaurants in the Maho area, just a short drive from Sapphire. Anywhere from beach bars (Sunset or Driftwood) to nicer places. There is paid garage parking, take a right just as you enter the Maho complex and you will see drive in entrance, stairs back up to street at opposite end of entry. Not very expensive. Tho Sapphire was our first stay on our first trip to SXM we havn't been by there in some time and I understand there is a large commercial...More

Diving shops (3 Replies)
Would appeciate information on the best dive shops in Dominica, preferably ones that don't overload their boats with divers, more than 8 divers are too many in my opinion for safety reasons, they have nitrox, and are exceptional helpful to their customer as I expericenced in St Martin at Octopus Diving.

My wife and I (29/34 y/o) are visiting St Martin for the first time in February. We have a studio booked for 8 days at the Mount Vernon property, and an overnight in the middle to Saba. I'm OW certified and booked dives with Octopus Diving in Grand Case for 2 days. We don't mind the bigger cities, but we tend to visit the lower key areas. Example on Grand Cayman we stayed on the East End / Rum Point area, loved it. Visited Georgetown one day for a dive / evening walk around, and had our fill...More

Thanks SXMScubaman, I did! We're flying over to Saba early morning and I booked the PM boat dive. Looking forward to something other than snowmobiles and gnome gardens in the local WI quarries. Thoughts on GoPro camera or rent one of theirs?
