Third time out with this company. You will not be disappointed! These folks are great!

We loaded up at Bobby's Marina, just a short walk from the cruise terminal. A well-maintained 26' center console with 12 guests (6 adults, 6 older teens, 20ish), Capt Boy and crewman, Charlie. This was an unusually calm day but the waters around SXM can be pretty rough. Smart captains hired by Billy Bones handle the boats expertly but, on a normal day, expect a bumpy, wet ride nevertheless.

We cruised under the drawbridge into Simpson Bay and gawked at the mega yachts! Then on to Tintamarre to snorkel. Then to Pinal Island, to see the iguanas by the beach bars. Then Creole Rock for more snorkeling. Then a wonderful lunch at Rainbow on Grand Case. (Everything from mahi to burgers to salads are offered as part of your trip. You order before you leave the dock. But bring cash to pay for drinks at the restaurant.) We waded out and reboarded and toured along the coastline with the Captain offering tidbits about local celebrity sightings. Then we raced to Maho Beach to watch a plane land!!!

You can see and do so much on this tour and still feel relaxed and refreshed afterward. They provide beverages - bottled water, soda, beer, rum punch. They have good snorkeling gear for you to use.

I am a big fan of this company! They are professional, prompt, entertaining, relaxed but scheduled - you don't need to worry all day! Billy Bones, I trust will show you so much of SXM (from the perspective of the water!!) in one day!!!

My wife and I went to St. Maarten for a special occasion and were looking for an equally special experience. I contacted Billy Bones and asked for a private charter to explore the St. Maarten and Anguilla. The experience was absolutely beyond our greatest expectations. We arrived early and met our Captain, Boy. He was fantastic and was very sensitive to the fact that my wife was not very adventurous, but that I was. He tailored the trip perfectly, showing us the most beautiful spots on Anguilla that we have ever seen. I was able to snorkel among sea turtles and cliff jump, and my wife was able to enjoy our own genre of music on the boat, have a swim and enjoy a wonderful lunch on Anguilla....not to mention drink some delicious rum punch! :) This trip was a surprise from me to my wife and when she looked at me on the way back to port and said it was the most wonderful thing we have done together....I knew I picked the right place. Cannot recommend more highly this tour. Thanks Boy!

We took the day trip to Anguilla in early January. Our relatively small (but fast and stable) boat had about 10 friendly guests and a couple of friends of the crew (I think they came along because it wasn't a full boat). I greatly prefer small boat trips than the big catamarans or part boats and this trip lived up to my expectations. The crew was extremely friendly, professional, and provided excellent customer service throughout the day. The beaches and bays in Anguilla are fabulous--and this trip takes you to multiple great locations for swimming and snorkeling. The lunch was very good and not rushed. If you are looking for a nice day trip to another island, Anguilla is a great choice since it is relatively close to the French side of the island, so even if the ocean is a little rough, the ride isn't that long. Overall a great day on and in the water with a small group that is well worth the price.

To start off, going through options and making our reservation with Michelle was a breeze. She was so helpful and attentive to detail so that we would have the best trip possible.
When the day came, we were a bit disappointed that we could not visit the iguanas and the reef because of the high winds. Our captain made the most of it while keeping us safe and brought us to some different areas that were more sheltered.
We had a great time snorkling and enjoying the boat. Overall, it was a great trip and I wouldn't hesitate to return to Billy Bones next year when we return to St. Maarten.

We loved that the boats were smaller and allowed for a more personal experience. Our captain, Boyd, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Although the fish weren’t plentiful, Boyd told us what to look for at each stop and was very attentive to make sure our gear was fitted properly. Great day on the water!

Spent the day on the boat and got to visit a lot of sites! It was a smooth ride. I would recommend this at the beginning of your visit to St. Maarten if you’re trying to decide where to go; it’ll give you a chance to plan to return to some of the sites and spend more time there.
The lunch provided was also very delicious!

We went on an amazing “Eco Tour “ speed boat cruise with Nicholas as our guide/captain. We cruised around the island to different beaches and had the pleasure of snorkelling with turtles and colourful fish. Nicholas was the perfect host serving rhum punch, beer, water or soft drinks. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and I wouldn’t be surprised if he speaks a few other languages. He shared interesting facts about the island and pointed out beautiful landmarks along the way. The lunch at a local lolo was delicious. If you are prone to sea sickness I would recommend waiting in the water or on the beach for your fellow guests to finish snorkelling. It gets a bit rocky when the boat is anchored. Keep applying sunscreen and put on your shirt as you might not realize how much sun you are getting and end up burnt on your back like me! We were lucky to be on board with friendly guests from Canada and Argentina. It made our trip really special.

This tour was amazing! So so fun! I definitely recommend. Everything was perfect. We ended up going with Billy Bone’s instead of captain Bob due to fewer tourists on the island, but everyone was so professional and awesome! The food at lunch was super delicious (even for vegetarians) and the drinks on the boat were great. We saw loads of fish when we snorkeled at Creole rock, saw a turtle at Tintamarre, Pinel Island was beautiful and the crew on the boat was very nice. Totally worth your money and it’s certainly a day you’ll never forget!

The BEST activity we did this January 2020 was with Balazs (sounds like Bellagio without the E O) of Billy Bones Boat Charters, 62 Welfare Road, Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten. Balazs took us on his center console on a half day cruise from Simpson Bay Lagoon out through the French side draw bridge, along the French side coast out to Creole Rock for snorkeling, past Anse Marcel beach and through the marina and new building development, then out to look for some Deep Sea Turtles at Tintamarre Island. A pass through Pinel Island for a quick dip and then out past Philipsburg and around to Simpson Bay for a pass by LaSiesta, on out and around to Sunset Beach to watch for some planes coming in and then back around and into Simpson Bay draw bridge. What a SPECTACULAR FUN DAY! Billy Bones Boat Charters provided the drinks and fun. Pack a cooler with some food and snacks for nothing less than a FANTASTIC day on the water. Don’t forget your sunblock! Balazs was informative, pleasant and knowledgeable. The boat was clean, orderly and well equipped with plenty of room for our party of 4 with room to spare. Don't miss the opportunity to take a tour around the island by water with this well run operation. Affordable and Fun!
