Great day on the water with Coconut Reef. Capt Craig and Justin were top notch. Everything was very easy and Capt Craig worked with us to chose the best day for our charter during our week on the island to ensure the water wasn’t going to be too rough. Justin was a great guide and is very knowledgeable. There was no doubt after spending the first 20 minutes with him that we were going to catch some fish. By the end of the day we caught a nice Wahoo and a bunch or snapper. Justin cleaned the Wahoo for us and which made for a great meal the next day. What more can you ask for!!!! Along with a full cooler of beer and soda and a tasty lunch- the day was a 10/10. Highly recommend!! If you want a professional, knowledgeable, and experienced crew you can’t go wrong with Coconut Reef.

Day 5 in St Martin Coconut Reef Fishing from Cole Bay St. Martin (Dutch Side) w/ Capitan Justin took us 2 miles off shore through the drop line to fish. My husband who is a Private Chef in the states was so happy to enjoy his experience fishing with Coconut Reef and Justin. The sea was a bit ruff but was able to catch 3 Tuna belly. We would highly recommend Coconut Reef and Justin experience for your next fishing trip..

Captain Richard was the Shiznit. I hope he has a blog to follow his navigation around world, facing pirates and sending them off with a flash of his arsenal. The best entertainment in St Martin to go snorkeling, rum punching and lizard leaping..did I mention the snorkeling? Some have said he is an "erratic" driver. No, no my friends. He's ALL man and his wife and kids are very fortunate to have such an adventuresome guy. This is the driver you WANT and a master diver to assist and watch over your safety. Plus a special spa treatment on the island Tintamarre - an all natural, fresh scrub applied with a personal touch by the Captain. My sister in law and I had the time of our lives along with a super group of fellow snorkelers..Let's hear it for the French Canadians, Bostoners, Connecticuters, Pennsylvanians and the transplant to Kentucky. You know who you are..we all loved the wild and wonderful ride with Captain Richard.

We had by far, the best snorkel tour at St Maarten today with Coconut Reef! We were on a twin engine speedboat with only 4 passengers and got an enlightening commentary from Damien about the history of St Maarten, hurricane Irma and the extensive damages (even saw several damaged boats waiting for repairs) before we arrived at our snorkel destination which is a wonderful marine preserve. The snorkeling was good, but what followed was the best of the whole experience. Captain Craig, the boat owner dropped anchor at the beautiful bay just below the very exclusive La Semanna resort, which is still being renovated. The beach was lovely and absolutely empty. We jumped into the clear, calm turquoise water and we were handed a noodle to help with floating, then the crew handed us a glass of rum punch! When have you ever experienced that on a snorkel tour? We relaxed and chatted while on our "sea horses" and then we were pleasantly surprised when the captain came swimming out to us with a floating tray of more rum punch!! We were blown away and forever spoiled 😍 I highly recommend #coconut-reef.com for their attention to safety, their knowledge and love of St Maarten and their over the top customer service. As a travel advisor, it's experiences like this that we are so happy to refer to our clients as well as our colleagues!

We spent the day with Damian and Mac. It was really great, they were very knowledgeable and explained a lot of history of the island. We went with our two sons 9 and 15, the tour was fun for them. Pinel Island was fun with all the Iguana's. Highly recommend this tour. We did one earlier in the same week with Random Wind and it was awful. Coconut Reef is the way to go!!

My husband and I had an amazing time on this excursion after our original tour was cancelled. Craig and Damia were the most excellent hosts and knowledgeable guides. Our tour group was unusually small (less than 10 people total), which made for a more personalized experience. Our day aboard the power boat included various stops for cool Caribbean dips, delicious snacks including pineapple/strawberry skewers, plenty of water to stay hydrated, and a mix of 70's & 80's rock music to sing along to! There were great snorkeling stops at Creole Rock and Tintamarre Island with the green sea turtles. After snorkeling, we were offered more variety of drinks, including rum punch and cold beer! Our final stop before heading back to the marina in Simpson Bay was Yellow Beach on Pinel Island for a picnic lunch and more fun in the sand and sea. Thank you, Coconut Reef, for making our visit in St Maarten a memorable one and for sharing with us places we could've only experienced by boat! Trish & Robb F.

Our original charter for the day had to cancel at the last minute due to some equipment issues and they suggested this outfit. I was a little hesitant but shouldn't have been. Turned out Great. Excellent captain and 1st mate. Very attentive to us and our needs. Lots of great information about the area and fun facts. Great food and service. We were a small group and got treated very well! Teen age kids and parents. Got off the beaten path and saw more than just the tourist spots. For us a highlight of our cruise/vacation. Highly recommend.

Dear Kevin L, I know from first hand experience that it can be very frustrating when your first choice gets taken away from you. Thank you for giving us a chance. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your day with us and we were able to turn a negative into a positive! Many thanks, also, for taking the time to relate your experience. Best regards and Happy Travels, The management and crew at Coconut Reef

We have been traveling to the island for about 15 yrs now. Every yr we do a boat trip with are grown children. We were approached on the beach by a lovely women named Anna. She told about the boat trip and how they were growing there new business. I will try and be as fair and accurate as possible. I called and made a reservation for this past Saturday. I talked with Carla who sounded very accommodating. I expressed several times about it being a private charter as we have had several boating trips that we're ruined with over excessive drinking guest. I was informed that it would be private for 6 of us, as the boat was not huge. (only took12 max). 99.00 per person and lunch included, definitely sounded very reasonable. They took a deposit on my cc and we met up at 9 on the pier. I was greeted by Anna who then took my balance on a cc. they charge an additional 5% which she stated was a bank law here in st Maarten. So not true. Had I known I would have brought an additional 600 in cash. Their company is choosing to charge a fee.
then she informs me they are waiting for 4 more guest. What the heck? Private it isn't. We decided to make the best of it and continue. the boat is small , comfortable for 6 ,8 guest. if you are looking for comfort this is not for you. Our captain for the day was Simon, super super nice guy. Very informative and we snuck in and out of areas that you cannot get to with the bigger boats. Heading over to the French side was a very hard bumpy ride, I would not recommend for someone older or back problems. Anchored off tintamare where we had sandwiches from the bakery. The salt air and swimming makes you really hungry so anything would have tasted good at that point. They did have water and soda on the boat, but didn't really make it readily available.I believe there was beer and some alcohol as well if you asked. A box of cut up honeydew sitting in the sun, and some carrot cake at the end of the trip. You might want to pack some snacks if you go. 8 hrs is a long day on the water. Simon was very informative, took us to a snorkel sight, saw the beautiful yachts and the ride back was easier. All and all it was ok, but I have been on much more comfortable boats. I would probably not return on this particular trip. Maybe a catamaran is the way to go. I would hope that if this company continues with there success they take this as constructive and make some changes, decent cushions for your guest to sit on, some bigger coolers to store your food, pick an easier route for getting around the island, and be up front about your fees, people will appreciate not being lied to. good luck with your business and we hope 2014 is good to you.

A visit to St. Maarten is not complete without a day spent snorkeling and touring this beautiful island with Coconut Reef.
This was the absolute highlight of our trip. We were 3 adults and a 12 year who says this was the "best thing" she has ever done. We loved this day as well.
Damien our very experienced captain took around the entire island, providing interesting history of the island while we enjoyed the beautiful water and sunshine. And of course, our snorkeling stops with first mate Tonya's assistance allowed us to take in the underwater beauty of coral, fish and giant sea turtles.
An extra thanks goes to Sheryl who assisted with all arrangements and provided a fabulous picnic lunch to enjoy on board.

I was in St. Maarten with my sisters and brother (4 of us total) and we did the Sunset Cruise. We weren't sure what to expect since it seemed so inexpensive, however, it exceeded every expectation we had and then some. Craig & Damien were wonderful hosts, gave us a great tour around the lagoon and then we went out into Simpson Bay for the sunset. We learned so much about the island, the antipasti was phenomenal and there was plenty of wine, champagne and rum punch to go around. It truly was the highlight of our trip and exceeded all expectations. I'm happy I'll be back there next month with my husband and we will do it again !! Thank you SO much Craig. You truly made this a memorable experience for us that we will never forget.
