This is an arts/jewelry/beach attire mini market. A good place to come for souvenirs. It is not big at all -so come and check it out if you have time

Don't go unless you like to collect junkie trinkets and bad shirts. It's interesting to see all the booths all with the same colourful shirts for sale and tshirts and hats for $5. But seriously, if you're looking for something fun, skip this place.

Unless you absolutely have to have a St. Martin hat or some other useless trinket with St. Martin scrawled across it, there really is NO reason to go here. It is Groundhog day repetitive and tired location that sells the exact same thing in each booth and the French side is significantly less friendly than the Dutch side. Do yourself... More

Best time to go is when there are no cruise ships in and you don't trip over badly dressed rude American tourists. A lot of the stalls sell the same thing but there are individual vendors who sell some very unique stuff and it's well worth a visit. Can get very hot as it's pretty exposed.

We were told this market opens Wednesdays and Saturdays. We found going on Wednesday at 10 am best, just after they open booths and before bus tour to beat the crowds. You can get around the whole thing in couple hours. A Lot of booths sell the same thing, cloths, souvenirs of sorts but a few stand out selling unique... More

The food market is only open 'til 2 pm. The flea market stalls seem to stay open longer. The people are so nice that you would want to buy something. It is in a beautiful setting overlooking the harbour. The reason I gave this an average is because most of the stalls sell the same things and at the same... More

Every booth has a lot of the same items at the same prices. Go on Wednesday before the tour buses show up.There are a lot more booths with a greater variety of goods. There was not a much produce and spices as I thought there would be. The fish market will be sold out by 8 AM.

When visiting the French capital this is a good 30-40 minute shopping experience. The stalls have an abundance of clothing, jewellery, carvings, pottery, etc.. There are tea shirts by the thousands in all sizes. Don't be afraid to haggle.

I thought the market was fun. We arrived around 10:00 and found a parking space, but the lot seemed full. When we came back to leave, the cars were double and triple stacked. My recommendation is to get there early enough so that you can just drive forward over the curb and onto the street. Loved all of the colors... More

We spent two hours at the Marigot market. Stall after stall of island wares - jewelry, sarongs, cover ups, sourveniers, etc. Homemade hot sauces, spices etc. Go on a Saturday and see the fisherman come in with their catch of the day. Caribbean lobster? Got it! Snapper - yes that too! Purchased some beautiful batik sarongs; enjoyed talking to the... More
