I hadn’t dived Saint Maarten before, but it was recommended to me. The dive shops were busy as there were 3 cruise ships in – including 2 US ships. I managed to book with Dive Sint Maarten. It’s ideally located – literally walking distance from the cruise ship terminal. I did 2 x boat dives – the first one was one of the best dives I’ve done – saw a spotted eagle ray, reef sharks, barracuda and a turtle! The vis was incredible and we got so close. The dive master Tim from Belgium was great – very knowledgeable and experienced and looked after me very well, as did the owner Willem and Natalie. I would recommend this dive shop, particularly if you do visit on a ship because of the proximity. They are very professional and skilled. Highly recommend.

Friendly and accomplished team that took us out for a quick, fun dive. We were a group of 10 but only had 4 certified divers. We really wanted to get in the water so Anne offered to book us on a dive that included discover scuba for the 6 non-certified divers. It ended up being a fun day with all ten of us eventually finding each other and swimming together for a while. Short dive though as the newer divers went through their air pretty quickly. Still an absolutely fun way to spend some time in the water in St Maarten. Oh and did I mention free flowing beers at the end of the dive? Nice touch.

We dive two days in January and they are excellent. Wonderful dives with expert dive masters and all the help you need. They even helped us to try equipment they felt was more appropriate. I can’t say enough good about Dive Sint Maarten.

Such a friendly and experienced team that enjoys diving, not too serious but also not too casual. Dived on xMas morning with Santa hats on made for great underwater pictures. Dive sites were excellent, wreck, canyons, sharks, eagle rays galore.

I had the best experience with this group in my 34 years of diving. I had my two adult daughters with me and they treated us like family over 4 days/ 8 dives. Respect. I felt so comfortable and to watch my kids excel in this company's caring, professional way just made me feel at home. If you have your doubts they will give you a quick refresher in the Great Bay. Weights, equalizing, descending, etc. Please be humble and admit this before the boat goes into the marine park in open water, It will help your experience and mine. My only regret is that I could not go more...., sharks, eels, stingrays, spotted eagle rays, octopi <WHAT!!> With COVID restrictions and the EHAS form I was hesitant to book ahead. My largest and only regret is that I did not book ahead. I'm coming back to do my night dive and get advanced certified. FYI no daylight savings time here, one hour before /NYC. Happy New Year, -EJF-
