Glad we made bumpy car drive, was part of a private car trip we shared so cost was about same as crowded tour. Much more pleasa
Easy walk through a lovely spot. Read tips in reviews, would definitely take a guide. She pointed out things we would have missed, and stayed while we did short dip in mineral bath, about 15 minutes. Were so relaxed we forgot about closing time until one of the pools started draining.

    Gorgeous! Worth a visit.
Gorgeous! Loved all of the plants and gardens. It poured rain most of the time we were there - it rains frequently in St. Lucia- so don’t wear flip flops. I’d recommend water shoes. You have traction and no nasty blisters.

Christmas time in the Botanical Garden
Nasha, the tour guide, made the experience unforgettable! She was very personable, knowledgeable, funny, and patient in explaining every flower and plant to us. Upon leaving, we gained a better understanding of the importance of the botanical garden on this beautiful island. Also, don’t forget to have your family pic taken in front of the waterfalls and if all possible please so kind to offer a generous gratuity to her Enjoy!

Great Experience at the Diamond Falls
We drove here and when we arrived there are private tour guides available before you go in. The cost is whatever you want to give them when you’re done. We decided to use the tour guide (thankfully) wealth of knowledge on what you’re looking at. We then paid the $10 entry fee plus the $3 extra (per person) for the private natural hot spring bath mineral bath. I highly recommend the private bath compared to the public, as it is really private and the temperature of the water is warmer. You get a key and when you enter the private bath there is a changing room. You lock the door. We brought our bathing suits but we decided we didn’t need to have them on due to the privacy. After your done disrobing you step down into the two private baths. The mineral baths are really warm and soothing and when you’re done (no time limit) there is a cold shower as you exit the baths. Bring a towel so you can dry off after showering. We arrived at 10:30am and there were only a couple tour buses in the parking area. When we left about two hours later I couldn’t count all the busses mostly from the cruise ships.

Great fun and good value, prepare to be given lots of info!
Extremely interesting visit, which took me about 80/90 minutes. The first thing to do, in order to get the best experience, is decide who your guide will be. There's a whole team of guides. I was recommended to pick Alexander who is a real character and massively knowledgeable. So much so he is known by his colleagues as "the walking internet". He is full of information about everything in the gardens, where the specimens originate, how long they've been in St Lucia and the history of the hardens. You won't leave a stone unturned in his company. He is clearly respected by all the other guides. You decide what the guide's tip should be at the end of the visit. There is an entry fee to see the waterfall, but the gardens are free if you don't want to see that. There's a small shop with gifts and refreshments. Right by the shop where the stream flows down from the waterfall, you should see Hummingbirds and during my visit I also saw a Bananquit. Alexander showed me where to get the best plant and bird pics. I really enjoyed the visit

    A Great Afternoon!
We spent a couple of hours here, strolling through the gardens, seeing the waterfall and having a couple of beers at their gift shop. It was an afternoon well spent and if you like seeing the native plants of the island and a gorgeous waterfall, this is the way to see it! We would definitely return if we ever came back to St. Lucia.

Try and get there before Tour Buses....arrive before 10:45
The gardens and setting are beautiful. Guides have great information and it was a really pleasant hour side trip. If you are traveling on your own, I recommend getting there before 10:45 AM. The cruise ship buses start arriving and it is still manageable but more crowded. Also, bring cash as they do not accept credit cards.

    Wonderful Garden Experience!
An amazing place to visit! The gardens contain many beautiful, exotic flowers and plants. The waterfall is equally amazing! The colour of the rocks exploded after a short shower of rain. Wow! Many birds were observed making the visit great! Get there early in the day. We arrived at 1000 am, opening, and were greeted with an almost empty garden to explore. By 1030 am, many tour groups arrived making the gardens fill up quickly. Would recommend! Enjoy.

    Very beautiful
Beautiful lush gardens. Very clean with signs along the walking tour to inform you of the plants The falls are not far and it’s an easy walk Took us about 90 minutes to do a self tour. Go early to avoid the buses and crowds.

The gardens were absolutely beautiful, our guide Alexander the Great was fantastic, he was so informative about every plant in the garden and loads of facts of the history from the current owners to King Louis XVI. He was hilarious throughout and made the whole experience what it was. I feel if you were just left to wander round you wouldn't have the same enjoyment.
The diamond falls was an amazing sight, it was a shame that you couldn't stand underneath the falls but I can understand for safety reason, it not very accessible.
You can get plenty of pictures throughout and they have a kiosk to get souvenirs and refreshments. They displayed pictures from the damage left by Hurricane Katrina and when we arrived they were cleaning up from the most recent hurricane.
It's definitely worth going to see, the guides are volunteers so make sure to bring some cash as they are worth it for the knowledge they provide.

This was part of a trip to the sulfur spring mud bath. Many beautiful flowers on a short walk to the falls. You have to wear a mask while you are outside and you must pay for a guide to walk you though it.

Very easy, walkable paths with well marked plant and foliage identification. You can hire a guide if you wish or can manage this solo. History of the gardens and how they have grown is really interesting. Very nice breezes, shaded and amazing plants and trees. For a small fee, you can use the hot baths that have survived prior natural disasters and the mineral water is very refreshing. The walk to the waterfall is easy, no worries about climbing or slipping and the waterfall is quite lovely. You can see the changes the minerals have made in the rocks. Quite a photo op area. The sign to get into the gardens is a little faded so watch carefully. You are basically turning by the gas station. Entrance fees are very reasonable, people and friendly and helpful. It's worth a side trip to come and see this garden

Peaceful spot in the afternoon on a day with no cruise ships on the island. Gardens and waterfall are $7 (US-cash only) per person and take about a half hour to see. Parking lot across from the entrance.

No need for a guide but there are guided tours available for the gardens. Waterfall is 55 feet tall and is in a beautiful backdrop with tropical plants and the mineral stained rock.

They also have sulfur baths for $6/person or $7/person (US-cash only) for a private bath. You pay for the bath separately from the garden and waterfall fee. The waterfall and garden fee is paid at the front entrance and you pay the bath attendant for the baths. We paid for the public bath but ended up getting a private bath because no one else was there while we were there. Baths did not smell like sulphur and were pleasantly warm but not hot.

There are changing rooms by the baths. After changing, you take a shower and get into the bath. Across from the baths is a small cafe and gift shop that has drinks and a few snacks.

There are plaques dotted around the gardens telling the history of the place from the 18th century right to the present day. The easy walk to the waterfall passes some beautiful, interesting and unusual flowers, all of which are names and described.
The us$7 entrance fee is well worth it but you only need to show the ticket at the entrance to the waterfall and the thermal pools are an extra us$6.

Our visit to the Botanical Garden was part of a free tour from our resort. It was nice to see the garden, but the guide rushed us through each plant/tree and spoke very quickly so we did not hear much of what she was saying. The waterfall was nice, but you cannot swim under it like in other places. Maybe we just had a bad guide?

This is a cruise passenger's paradise, so if you're one of those and you obviously enjoy the company of your fellow man, then you'll love it. If however you're like us - tourists who really don't like tourists, looking for some beauty, nature and tranquility, you'll be very disappointed to find this potentially lovely place totally ruined by guided group after group after group of baseball caps and tartan shorts.

The gardens are beautiful, very well maintained, and there's plenty of information for those that are interested. The falls are lovely and there's a variety of bird life. The only downside is that any hope of peace and tranquility is completely dispelled by the constant procession of buses and taxis bringing endless noisy hordes from the cruise liners. You'll either love it, or you'll regret what it could have been if not for that damned cruise liner and it's cargo.

For real peace and tranquility try Mamiku gardens over on the east side. Badly maintained and not as interesting, but thankfully the cruise crowds don't go there!

The lush, vibrant colors and beautifully sculpted gardens are beyond beautiful. The waterfall at the back is very soothing and be sure to keep a lookout for little geckos. I highly recommend this stop on your visit to Soufriere. Maybe take an umbrella, sporadic short rainstorms are often in this area but a small price to pay for paradise

Having done the Tet Paul trail, we stopped at the botanical gardens as they are nearby. What a great find, maybe not the largest, but a great quality garden. We did the garden and diamond falls which are beautiful.

It was not busy when we went as we were probably just early enough to beat the cruise ship tours. We took a guide and as luck would have it, it was Alexander the Great! He claims to have taken George Harrison up Grand Piton and a Google search will find a little about him (Alexander, not George And you may need to include Piton to narrow the search......)

It’s a small tour and took less than an hour but was fun listening to Alexander who is actually very knowledgable on many subjects (or good at making stuff up!)

Well worth a visit.
