My husband and I chose to visit the Tet Paul Nature Trail as an alternative to the more strenuous Gros Piton hike.

Our guide, Destiny, was very knowledgeable and told us about so many different plants. She took time to take once in a life time photos of us with the pitons.

The views of both the Gros and Petite Pitons were breathtaking as well as Sugar Bay. Although, it wasn’t clear, there were some nice views of the countryside around Mt. Gimie.

We also enjoyed the two dogs, Cinnamon and Nutmeg, who joined our hike.

More then worth the $3 per person fee

Easy hike for some of the best views of the Pitons and the interior of the island. Took about an hour to see everything.

Used a guide for the tour, which was well worth it. Guide’s name was Meshack, who was very personable, funny, and patient. He had a great knowledge of the plants and trees as we made our way up to the viewpoints.

Admission to the trail was $20 US for two people, which did not include the tip for the guide.

There is a good sized parking lot near the entrance. Signs point the way to the entrance from the main road. Turn off is also marked for the fondoux resort but it is a bit confusing when you get close to the entrance for the trail as one sign points left. Do not turn left near the entrance and keep going straight.

This is a short hike with great views and knowledgeable guides. The nature trail does a loop with views to the south and panoramic views on the Pitons. The actual summit of Tet Paul offers a 360 degree view of the area, great pay off for minimal effort. Our guide, Jimmy, was great; pointing out the many flora and trees along the trail, planted crops and natural fruit. With each one, he gave details on their use and benefits. He was equally attentive to our 16yo son as my 70yo in-laws. This is a great way to start the day, not super long, not super short.

Wonderful and relatively easy hike with phenomenal views! The steepest part is made of steps that are easy to use with handrails. You may just need to take a rest break or two. The views at the top are definitely some of the best on the island to see both the small and large Pitons. Our tour guide was super nice and engaging. He was very knowledgeable about the whole experience and learning from him was great. This is the only nature trail completely run by locals (not by the government), we were told by our guide, and the money for admission goes directly to the community. They plant fruits and vegetables along the hike that they harvest and sell at local markets, at which most of the resorts buy fresh produce daily. It was cool to see how some fruits grow that I had no idea. Overall wonderful experience!

This hike was lovely, and could easily be done in under an hour, but it was our guide Bertha who made the experience fantastic. Not only was she able to provide local insight into the community we looked upon as we went up the trail, but she was also able to provide funny anecdotes and history that made the trail that much more enjoyable. As someone who doesn’t like any sort of hike, Bertha made it infinitely more fun. It was really cool to learn about local vegetation, plants, and then of course the magnificent views. It’s also lovely that all of the proceeds from the trail go back to the community. I loved that Bertha was a local and could show us the 200-person farming town she was from while at a resting spot on the trail. Thank you so much to everyone involved in the making of this trail...and Bertha!

This trail should not be missed if you are in St Lucia. It’s the best way to see both Pitons from more than 500m altitude. The ticket price is 10$ and includes a guide very knowledgeable about the Pitons and St Lucia in general. The first 15 mins of hiking are steep but after that it’s just like a walk in the park. When you reach the top you will be rewarded with some gorgeous views over both Pitons. Nothing beats this view in St Lucia!

We really enjoyed this nature trail . We had intended to go by ourselves but accepted the services of Jimmy and we were very glad we did so , we learnt a lot more about the flora of the neighbourhood and we relaxed and enjoyed the viewpoints greatly. There were no information signs . The trail l is i believe ten dollars US per person gratuity to guide at your discretion

Beautiful views of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea are found on this manageable hike. It took us about 45 mins total but was a good workout as well, as the first 20-25 mins was mostly uphill. I’d highly recommend for all visitors who don’t want to take on the Gros Piton hike
