- Lisa KBirmingham, Alabama4 contributionsWorth the TimeSo glad I listened to previous reviews. The nature trail is a great way to get some exercise, learn about St.Lucia’s culture and agriculture and enjoy some spectacular views of the Pitons. If you get Denver as your guide, consider yourself extra lucky. Fun morning!Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 29, 2023
- Nicole B4 contributionsMust doExploring the island is a must and this is a FANTASTIC way to see It. Our guide Magavery was great, pointing out things along the whole trip and making sure we took a break if we needed. We learned so much about the agriculture and about how the community came together to create the trail. It ended up pouring during our hike and It didn’t take away from It at all. We got great photos. There is also a little hut at the top where we tried so spiced rum and bought a souvenir.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 31, 2023
- kathyFranklin, Massachusetts47 contributionsSeeing the Pitons from aboveA walk along the trail of the Tet Paul Nature Trail, with the warm, knowledgeable, and very sweet tour guide, Mahalia, was one of the best excursions we took on our vacation. She pointed out many different plants, trees and flowers, tested our senses on quite a few natural herbs and showed us the most amazing views of the Pitons , ocean and St. Lucia at various different levels. She was very conscious of our age, unsteadiness over some rocks and constantly offered her hand for support. Don't let the steps, rocks, or uneven ground deter you from this walk. No one rushes you, walking sticks are offered, and the final view is so worth the effort. If Mahalia is your tour guide, you will not be disappointed.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 8, 2023
- Shaktijit DUnited Kingdom53 contributionsA beautiful and fulfilling experience on the nature trail with lovely views throughoutWe walked up together (3 adults and 2 young children 3 and 1) from about 1130a.m. just recently. It felt a bit like walking up a very long staircase with lots of relaxing breaks in between which gives chance to take pictures. The views are stunning. We used a guide (Felix) who was very friendly and came across as knowledgeable about the local area, various plants and the scenic views. He recognised we were with young children and had a lot of patience. I would thoroughly recommend this experience for anyone visiting St Lucia. One of the videos I believe is from the highest platform on the island (stairway to heaven walk which is just under 50 steps).Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 11, 2023
- Irene L9 contributionsStunning viewsAbsolutely stunning views for a short walk. Our guide, Jamal, was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information on local farming practices as well as local life, especially when growing up in St Lucia, and what that looked like for many only a few years ago. Highly recommend as a place to visit when in St Lucia. Well worth the drive and time.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 10, 2023
- BackPacker57465920 contributionsDon’t miss the views !Highly recommend this hike. It’s easy but beautiful and the views are stunning especially at the top, seeing both of the pitons. A must do while on the island ! I would go with a guide, you could do without but they make it better by telling you about the island and the different plants you see along the way, it’s worth it for the guide!Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 17, 2023
- Richard S4 contributionsGet close to natureAn excellent nature walk and really worth the $10 entrance fee. Jamal our guide was really knowledgable about the local plants and passionate about the natural remedies that these provide. It was easy paced with some stunning views and photo opportunities of tge Pitons and surrounding countryside. Booking guidance was very thorough and helpful. A great St Lucian experience and one not to miss.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 25, 2023
- TexSteve137 contributionsBeautiful Walk, Helpful GuideWhat a beautiful trail! It packs so many breathtaking views into a relatively quick and moderate (there are somewhat steep areas) hike. It was great for taking pictures and for getting familiar with the local landscapes in all directions. We were very fortunate to have hired Gregoryanna as a guide. She lives in a village nearby whose members manage the trail. As we walked, she pointed out the notable landmarks, cities, and neighboring islands, as well as flora we encountered like cashew trees, pineapple plants, and Christmas palms.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 25, 2023
- JulesNewport, Rhode Island111 contributionsA must visit in St LuciaWorth it, some reviews say it’s easy and with the 1 hour round trip we thought it would be too easy to get any sort of excercise but we were wrong, it was perfect and the view was amazing, you don’t have to get a guide but they push it and it was worth it to hear the local knowledge ! I think our guide was Georgiana - she was very sweet. $20ish American dollars plus another $20 we tipped and of course a souvenir magnet was all well worth it!Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 8, 2024
- trav_49newMiddleton, Wisconsin46 contributionsFantastic hike and guide! We liked everything about this hike. We especially liked Jelmal. He was very knowledgeable about the local flora. As we went along he pulled leaves off plants for us to taste, he pointed out trees, plants, and told us how they were used in cooking or healing. It was fascinating. I highly recommend this hike and Jelmal. We sincerely appreciate your visit to our trail and are thrilled to hear that you had an amazing experience. We spent about an hour at the Tet Paul Nature Trail one afternoon and received a guided tour (it did not appear they did this for everyone - but we received a guide with our entrance fee). This was a nice walk - probably about a mile overall, with some very mild elevation. There are a lot of plants to see, along with great views of the Pitons. All in all, a great way to spend an hour or two.

It is well worth setting aside and hour to hike the trail around Tet Paul, your admission price also includes a guide to accompany you. There were none available when we visited so our driver came with us.
As you follow the trail round there are many beautiful plants and a recreation of a Lucian plantation house complete with furnishings.
The view from the top of the trail of the 2 Pitons is amazing, and well worth the entrance price alone.

Visited with friends. US$10 admission plus tips for the guide.
Our guide was named McGuyver. Very pleasant fellow and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Very accommodating taking group pictures and a master at using the camera on every time of phone. Hike was not very strenuous and the views were magnificent. Recommended.

Refreshing, scenic, and worth the time! Not overly strenuous, but great if you have small children. The views from the top were spectacular and the flora was abundant! I'd highly recommend. Yes, there is a fee to take the hike, but the guide is very knowledgeable and can take great family photos. There is a quick bathroom at the starting point so the kids can pump out before your 45 minute trek. We thought about the Piton hike, but were informed that would not be enjoyable with young kids. This was perfect for them and also didn't take up the whole day either!

The Tet Paul Nature Trail is a gentle climb to amazing views of Soufriere and the Pitons. There is a small fee for access to the trail and this includes a guide who provides some local knowledge about the area and surrounding flora. The path is well marked and is a combination of dirt path, terraced steps and stairs. There are a few rocky parts on the way down to maneuver. There are multiple viewing platforms throughout the trail. Well worth the fee and trip!

For $10 USD you get a tour guide who explains the plants and what you're seeing. He was fun and the photos he took of us were some of the best. Small hut with handmade gifts and water/beer at the top. I'm not super fit but easily did this hike.

My husband and I chose to visit the Tet Paul Nature Trail as an alternative to the more strenuous Gros Piton hike.
Our guide, Destiny, was very knowledgeable and told us about so many different plants. She took time to take once in a life time photos of us with the pitons.
The views of both the Gros and Petite Pitons were breathtaking as well as Sugar Bay. Although, it wasn’t clear, there were some nice views of the countryside around Mt. Gimie.
We also enjoyed the two dogs, Cinnamon and Nutmeg, who joined our hike.
More then worth the $3 per person fee

Wonderful, small hike with phenomenal views! The steepest part is made of steps that are easy to use with handrails. You may just need to take a rest break or two. The views at the top are definitely some of the best on the island to see both the small and large Pitons. The tour guide, McGiver (sp?), was super nice and engaging. He was very knowledgeable about the whole experience and learning from him was great. This is the only nature trail completely run by locals (not by the government), we were told by our guide, and the money for admission ($10 per person) goes directly to the community. They plant fruits and vegetables along the hike that they harvest and sell at local markets, at which most of the resorts buy fresh produce daily. It was cool to see how some fruits grow that I had no idea. Overall wonderful experience!

This hike was lovely, and could easily be done in under an hour, but it was our guide Bertha who made the experience fantastic. Not only was she able to provide local insight into the community we looked upon as we went up the trail, but she was also able to provide funny anecdotes and history that made the trail that much more enjoyable. As someone who doesn’t like any sort of hike, Bertha made it infinitely more fun. It was really cool to learn about local vegetation, plants, and then of course the magnificent views. It’s also lovely that all of the proceeds from the trail go back to the community. I loved that Bertha was a local and could show us the 200-person farming town she was from while at a resting spot on the trail. Thank you so much to everyone involved in the making of this trail...and Bertha!
