The waterfall is beautiful but at the time of day we went--10am, it was so packed with tourists that it was loud, and very over crowded. It totally took away from the experience of the waterfall. We would have loved to go into the waterfall but there was a long line to go in for 1 minute take a picture while 150 people watch. It was too busy for us for us so we left.

We were on the island over Christmas so it may have been unlucky to have it be so busy.

We visited the waterfall as a part of our land and sea adventure, we were a small group and it was easier to move around. There was just a few people at the waterfall when we arrived, but while our guide was taking pictures more tourists came and started moving between my husband and I and the guide who was trying to take our picture. Those people were completely rude without a simple regard for one's personal space. Not to mention a picture takes only a second and it wouldn't hurt anyone to wait.
Other than that the water was surprisingly cold and murky, so water shoes are necessary, there were some rocks on the bottom. Oh, and the water from the falls doesn't help wash of the residue from the mud bath

We were with a big tour group, so it was super crowded and you could only go in 2 at a time so they could take unobstructed pictures. My husband and I thought it would be a much bigger swimming area, but it is not. So we had to wait in line to get our picture taken for about 20-30 minutes to spend 1 minute in the water. The water did feel great and I would recommend a private tour if you can.

We had a taxi take us and wait for us while we enjoyed the sights and the waterfall. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too many people. The waterfall is beautiful and a must see. We went right after visiting Sulphur Springs.

We went to the sulphur springs and came by to this waterfall to wash it all off. The waterfall is quite accessible and has a $3 entry fee for adults. There are some decent toilets and changing rooms right next to the waterfalls.

Well worth the visit.

It's really small and shallow. I can tell efforts are made to make sure the trip to under the waterfall is as safe as possible. The downside is you really cannot swim there even for kids. Facilities are sparse. It's nice to stand under the waterfall and snap a nice picture but it's really it. 3 dollar charge is about right if you want a fun ins pic.

The water was much fresher than we imagined. We ended up paying quite a high fee to look at the water for a few minutes and then leave. Not really worth it in my opinion. Most people we say, jumped in the water, took a photo and left.

Went here on our last day on St Lucia as a little thing to do before heading back to the airport. From Soufriere it's only a 5 minutes drive. There is plenty of road-side parking. We arrived around 12.15 and within 5 minutes of arriving it was absolutely heaving with a coach trip (30 people in one group) as well as some smaller groups. There are changing rooms by the falls and plenty of stone ledges to sit on if you don't want to go in. As mentioned before, it was a bit like a production line but the queue moved quickly (maybe 5 minute wait) and then we were in (individually since we wanted to watch our bags) and had the obligatory photo taken. Because of the crowds we decided to hang around a bit longer and sure enough within 10 minutes the coach disappeared and you could go in without queuing. At that point it just became a really chilled out space with the ability to cool down as often as you wanted whilst watching all the various posers trying to get their perfect insta shot. We really enjoyed it and ended up spending an hour there. I think if you wanted it a bit more quiet, go around 13.00 when most tours will have departed for their lunches/ sailing activities.

Stop here as part of the usual Saint Lucia soufriere tourist trail after visiting the botanical gardens.

Only 3USD entry. The waterfall area is pretty small and there were a lot of people standing area the top watching but didn't have to queue to get under the falls, which was extremely powerful for what didn't look like a lot of water. Cool and refreshing after a sweaty afternoon.

Be careful though and the plunge pool floor is sharp and rocky, it was painful to walk in places - water shoes if you have them would be advised. There are changing facilities but no toilet.

We only only stayed for 15 mins but we're glad we went.

I visited Toraille Waterfall on a cruise ship excursion that visited Soufriere and the Piton region of St Lucia. There is a modest admission charge to enter the falls facility. The location is pretty and very green (much of St Lucia is covered in greenery) and the waterfall is in a lovely location.

You can enter the water and stand under the falls - I didn't do that on this visit but I did it on a visit many years ago. It's a refreshing power shower. There are basic changing facilities and toilets on-site. If you are not going in the water then a 20 minute stop is probably sufficient - allow more time if you plan to enjoy the waterfall from in the water.
