I wish you to know what to avoid!!! Booked hike from our Hotel/ with price was high but it’s lockdown time - instead of using they taxi all way from hotel/ Marigot beach ( 1.2h drive ) 50$ per person we arrived by boat . All not so great started at arrival They taxy for trip from dock to start of Gris piton 10 min drive charged 25$ each (5 persons ) 100$ 10 min drive - admiring that he can charge as much as he wants ! Wasn’t a green but as it’s from tour guide company we carrying on. Hike was beautiful only sad that guide had nothing to a part of ready to go - let’s go 🥺 think his name was Dealon - nice boy but sadly zero knowledge about mountains, nature, history . Hike is easy if you do hike in forests and hills, bit slippery, lot rocks , good trainers suggested . All hike is in forest. Sadly taxy driver ripped as off and had long argument till we he took as back. Definitely do hike but look up good guide and agree on prove by writing in advance.

We had a wonderful day with our tour guide, John, exploring the island. John took us through the various towns, stopping at numerous sites along the way and pointing out historical sites and vegetation. The Tet Paul trail was beautiful and had amazing views. The trip to the volcano and mud bath was definitely an unforgettable experience. Our day ended with a trip to a phenomenal waterfall, with an opportunity to submerge yourself in the middle of it. What a fabulous day we had and we would highly recommend adding this to your “must do” list when visiting St. Lucia.

We found the tour in tripadvisor ourselves. Although business was marked as 'closed' on the day our cruise ship came in, an exception was quickly made. Good start :-) Pickup in harbor was on time; a pleasant ride with our guide 'Win', brought us to all places mentioned. With our small group, we decided ourselves where to stop for how long. We got back to the ship, as planned. A great, great tour. Some side remarks : - the mud baths are not really "mud-baths" : sulfur baths where you can rub yourself in with mud. DO take some old (throw away) bathing clothes for this ! - the nature trial is not that hard or long as it sounds. We expected it to be more challenging Nevertheless : all highly recommended !

If you want a close-up view of the island and you can handle rough, scary roads this may be the tour for you. Few guard rails and lots of passing on twisty narrow roads, typical for island life but may be too much for some. ( My husband claims he wasn't scared though.) Driver was easy to please and not only covered sights but conveyed lots of culture and what it is like to live on island. Customized time at sites to guests' interest. He was great. 7 people in modern well-maintained van. Bring snacks and water.
